What's your favorite thing to do with dad?
Snowboard.
Snowboard?
What are you doing, you weirdo?
Hey!
Don't break your head on the ground.
Oh, the slush, the slush.
Oh, no way!
You hit the camera?
You think you're funny?
What up, Team Hawkeyes?
Family shred day. Mom came along.
She's not going to be shredding or anything because she's super pregnant.
But she's going to be at the bottom.
She's going to be watching Roman. She might film with her phone or something
and get some different angles.
But today is what you guys have been asking for.
Roman day!
Hey!
Are you excited? Roman, what are you going to do today?
Snowboard on the big mountain.
On the big mountain?
Are you going to try any jumps today?
Maybe a box or something?
This place has a box.
It does have a box for Roman.
But we've got to warm up on the little hill
and then we're going to go up to the top.
The top. Deal?
High five. Knuckles.
I'm big for that chairlift.
Yeah, you're too big for that chairlift?
Yeah!
Dude, he's too big.
Alright, story time.
So the only time Mom has ever gone snowboarding
was here at A-Basin
on the same hill
that Roman snowboards.
No raspberries!
He's just picked up on those raspberries
and throws them all the time.
Alright, say bye to Mommy. We'll see you when we come down.
We've got to jump onto the chairlift.
Okay?
Go?
How's it going, man?
One, two, three, jump!
No way, you jumped on all by yourself.
I don't think we could have
picked a better day, right?
It's so nice out.
It's not puking.
No puking.
Good job, dude.
No way, buddy.
No way.
You're doing so good, dude.
Nice stop.
Look at you sending it.
No way.
No way, dude.
So good.
Let's talk to Mommy about it. How was it?
Dude, you went so fast.
You came down that hill so fast.
Let's do it again. Say goodbye to Mom.
Bye.
Oh my goodness, so cute.
Oh, he did so good. Wiggle, wiggle.
You're doing it by yourself. Look, Dad's over here.
Come on.
You got this. Wiggle, wiggle.
Keep going.
No way. Keep going all by yourself.
No way.
Look how far you went all by yourself.
That was sick, dude.
One, two, three.
Oh, yeah.
I'll count to three, okay, and then you jump really high.
All right, ready? One, two, three.
Oh, yeah. You having fun?
You're good at snowboarding, dude.
I'm proud of you.
We'll do a couple more of these, and then we'll go hit a box.
Yeah. Yeah? Sound fun?
The box over there.
Yep, there's boxes all over the place.
One, two, three.
Fall down.
Hey, you got to stand up.
Stay standing up.
Is that funny?
Are you laughing?
Why are you laughing?
Because we're going to fall down.
Hey, don't you do it.
Hey, you did that on purpose.
Hey, you.
You're too high for me.
You did that on purpose.
You're not supposed to fall down.
No raspberries.
Hey, you in there.
No raspberries.
Uh-oh, we're in a predicament.
Ready? One, two, three.
He does this sometimes where he pretends that he's falling down
even though he's not really falling down,
which is funny, but at the same time
it makes doing this a little challenging.
There you go.
Whoa.
You did an S-turn.
You went heels to toes.
What are you doing?
What are you doing, you weirdo?
Hey.
Don't bang your head on the ground.
No falling down.
You better catch up.
You better catch up to Daddy.
Can you get up?
I'm coming.
Oh, no.
You're so silly, dude.
Hey, you hit your baby sister.
Here's your baby sister.
Oh, good one.
No snowballs at Daddy, okay?
What?
Oh, what?
Roaming in.
Oh, that was cold.
Whoa.
That was your biggest one yet.
All right.
You want to show everybody your Lego sticker
on your snowboard that you put on?
Look at it.
It's actually a Lego guy.
That reminds me of Roman's Lego sticker.
Just so you guys know,
we have the Evolution stickers.
We'll do sticker shout-outs,
but if you snag an Evolution sticker
that's a Lego one,
it's called the Block sticker on the Evolution store.
100% of that sale goes to his college fund.
I don't want to make money off of my kid
or anything like that,
but you guys wanted a Roman sticker
because you love the Roman videos.
How could you not?
If you want to get any of the Evolution stickers,
just know if you buy the Block one,
we donate 100% of the proceeds to his college fund.
Is that a donation?
We put it in his college fund.
Anyways, thank you to everyone who snagged Roman stickers
when we got off this chairlift
because I need my hand free.
I always hold onto him super tight while we're on this lift.
So when we jump off, we'll shout out to you guys.
Alright, one, two, three.
Alright, so we got David Kelly
with a Roman sticker on the helmet
looking insane, as well as we got
Fourth Street...
I can't do it.
Okay, wait for Daddy.
Before Roman was a kid,
Fourth Street hooligan
with the Roman sticker on the motorcycle.
That's insane, looking insane.
Looking sick.
It's dope. Guys, thank you so much for snagging the Roman sticker.
Supporting the dream.
Supporting this little dude's future, his college fund.
You're getting antsy, right?
You want to jump, right?
Yeah.
Okay, deal.
There you go.
I see, dude.
Good job picking those toes up.
Wiggle, wiggle.
Nice, dude.
Whoa, you're going so fast.
How are you doing that?
A lot of work.
See you later, Mama.
You're such a sweetheart.
Alright.
Will you drop me?
I will never drop you.
Alright, we're going up the big boy chairlift.
You've never been on this one.
It's crazy to me, every time we come snowboarding,
I feel like he's doing new things and he's better
than what he was doing the last time we were snowboarding.
But he wasn't doing it the last time we were snowboarding,
so how is he doing it? I don't understand.
How are you getting so good?
Are you going to be better than Daddy at snowboarding?
Uh-huh.
Look, there's tight trees.
Oh, those are tight trees.
So I get a lot of flack for not putting the bar down,
and so I put the bar down on this one,
but I'd have to finagle him
and do so much in order to make the bar work.
And then I feel like we just got
so much going on.
Oh, yeah, the chairlift stopped.
Yeah.
So, the only chairlifts
with a bar that matter to you are the ones
A-Basin has with this bar right here,
because then you can put it between their legs,
and it kind of helps.
I mean, it should help, but
there's just a lot going on with the camera and you.
All right, we put the bar down.
I still don't think that feels safe to me.
Like, I would never let go of him
on a chairlift until he's like
eight or something.
After making these videos for five years,
though, I have found out that
the bar on a chairlift is a very hot
topic. Like, some people believe it
saves lives, and then there's
like the majority of people that don't use it at all.
So, comment down below. Do bars
save lives? What do you guys think? Are you on that
fence or that side of the line
or whatever? Do you believe you should always put the bar
down or not? Because I'm kind of on the
fence of like, I don't think it matters. Like, I've never
fallen out of a chair just sitting down.
I know this one's moving. But there are a lot of
chairlifts out there that don't even have a bar
as an option. So, if you
don't get used to it,
then when it's not there, you're worried that it's not there.
I don't know. It's a weird topic.
Let me know. Let's get a conversation going.
What side are you on? Bar down or bar
up? Bar down.
You're on the bar down side? Hey!
Bar down.
So, I've been doing this thing where I let him ride a lot by
himself in sections like this.
So, he gets used to doing it
himself. This way.
One, two, three.
There's a spin.
Alright, I want to see Roman snowboard by
himself for a second. Wiggle, wiggle.
There you
go.
See the rope? We can't go
past that rope, so we can't go in these trees.
We're in the park.
Do you see the
box? Where is it?
Oh, there it is.
So, the other
day when we rode this park, I
saw this box and I was like, aw, dude, that is
literally perfect for
Roman. So,
the goal, or the idea, is hopefully
I can get him to ride onto it and off
of it all by himself and I'll be at the end and I'll catch
him.
Oh, sorry.
Blah!
Roman falls.
The best thing about the park right now is no one's
riding it, so this box,
which is perfect for Roman,
we can just hog the feature the whole time.
Obviously, people come, we
get out of the way, but dude, this is awesome.
You want to do that
one and a little bit. Let's do this one.
Whoa!
I know.
My hair!
It's okay.
Daddy!
That was your first big slam.
Let's just chill. You're good.
You're good, little dude.
Yeah.
Slams happen.
Alright, dude, let's talk about it.
You took your first slam.
That was a big one. That one hurt,
didn't it? Yeah,
it hurt. Sometimes
when you fall on these things, you get hurt. That's why we take it
slow.
You did so good, though.
Did you try to jump onto the box?
Yeah.
I tried to jump down.
Yeah, you tried to jump. You don't need to jump on that one,
though. You just ride onto it. That's what happened.
Hi, baby.
We took a slam.
Did you okay?
That was a big one.
He tried to jump onto the box.
We did it like six times. He did so good.
But he was getting bored, so then he was like,
I'm going to jump onto this thing to make it more fun.
And he died. Do you want to go home?
No.
Do you want to keep snowboarding?
Okay.
Hey.
Are you eating the snow?
Don't eat the snow.
Ew.
I think he's feeling better since he's eating snow.
Oh, heck yeah.
Don't drop that.
See, Dad was ready.
Dad knows.
This is not Dad's first rodeo.
First time having a kid slam on a box.
That felt bad.
As weird as this sounds, I'm happy to be
a dad that lets Roman put himself
in situations
to where he can slam.
Because I want him to be a tough person.
You're going to take slams
physically and mentally
throughout life. It's hard.
So if I can show him
sometimes you're going to fall
and it's going to suck, but give it a little bit
and then you get over it and you feel better.
Dude, I'd rather do that. Check this video out
of him scorpioning on his bike.
He scorpions so hard.
But he's better from it and he loves his bike.
He's not scared of his bike anymore.
That fall helped him get better.
You're going so fast.
You okay? Isn't that gnarly?
And then now he slammed on this box.
Dude, slams are a part of the action sports.
He wants to snowboard.
He wants to hit these jumps and stuff.
He's just going to have to learn that sometimes you eat it.
Remember, don't eat it
unless it's pizza.
Yeah.
You hit the camera?
What are you doing?
What are you doing hitting the camera?
You think you're funny?
You got this all the way to the end.
Keep going. Keep going.
It's the last stretch, dude.
And then the day's over.
You worked so hard.
Good save.
Keep going. Keep going.
You're crushing it, dude.
It's super slushy.
Oh, I'm about to fall down.
There we go.
Get your balance.
There we go.
You're spinning like crazy.
You're doing so good.
You're doing so good, dude.
Oh, the slush.
Oh, good save.
Oh, no.
Here we go.
Wiggle, wiggle.
There we go.
No way, dude.
Look at you go.
The slush.
Oh, no way.
That save was insane.
High five.
Dude, you stayed up.
That was awesome.
Wiggle, wiggle to the end.
It's so slushy down here.
Dude, you did it.
You did it, dude.
That was awesome.
He did so good today.
I know he doesn't want to leave,
but I can tell he's physically tired now.
Good job, buddy.
Dude, you did it.
What a sick day.
High five.
Let's go find mom.
Can you tell mom about your big slam?
The big slam.
You took a big slam.
Chocolate.
Hot chocolate?
Get those boots off.
Have fun today.
I did have fun today.
Did you have fun today?
Did you see me?
I did see you.
I recorded you.
This is my favorite view ever.
Is this my board next to his board?
I love that so much.
He got tired.
I got tired.
It's so much work with the little dude.
Especially when I'm filming it by myself.
Shout out to mom.
Getting the mom cam shots.

Thanks for watching.
Do you have gummies in your mouth?
What's that sound?
That's a snow cat. It goes beep, beep, beep.
That's not what cats do.
That's not what cats do?
