Hello everybody and welcome back to FIS TV for the first round of the Halfpipe World Cup in this
2026 winter season at Yusei Yamada. Reds in a lot of speed into backside double 10 with the
Japan but look at the tweak on its switch. Backside 7. Frontside double 14.4. So it must
be a switch. Frontside double 14.42. A frontside double 14. Then finish it off with the backside
alley-oop rodeo. This is the highlight of the run isn't it? Taking that grab all the way home to
Japan. Yuto Totsuka the next of the 24-year-old from Japan. There goes Yuto Totsuka's 32nd World
Double 12.60.
Switch frontside double 14. I believe to frontside double 12 with the tail locked out.
A little bit of a loss of amplitude into that here but all together if he lands this one,
this run is right up there. Yuto Totsuka asking the question to the judges.
90.25 quite expected. Yuto Totsuka is going to slide in the first place above
Ryusei Yamada. Ayumu Hirano next one to challenge for winning silver in the pipe for just 14 years.
He's up that backside double 12 going massive.
Switch backside double 12 to switch frontside number 14. Frontside double 12. Backside
double 12. He still has to change the edge and lose some speed there. He's running out
of pipe but he's going to pop another double anyway and he gets it done. Ayumu Hirano never
done before in the pipe so Ayumu Hirano with the 93.5 and Ryusei Yamada in a men's 1-2-3
for Japan at the moment in third. Now sat in second. Leads in 93. Number one Yuto Totsuka
drops the switch. Backside double 12. Mute is perfect. Frontside double 14. Beautiful switch
front. Double 12 I think. Backside 900. There's a huge loss of amplitude at the end. I think he's
going to lock that one as a DNI. 90.25 is a very strong score. He must be feeling pretty
confident. He's going to stay in that silver medal position. Here we go. Ayumu Hirano then
will he execute? Switch backside. Frontside double 14. Huge open because he's gone really deep on it.
Better execution now into the backside. Double 12. Really smooth on that one. Finishes it off.
Frontside triple 14 but he'll jet ski out of that and that'll do it for Ayumu Hirano. Still in first
place with 93.5. Here we go then. In the top 10 then we might come to expect later on in the season.
Chun Li ends up in last place.
Ayumu Hirano on the top step with the triple walk,
with the variety, with the unparalleled amplitude throughout basically his entire career.
