This was honestly one of my dream layovers
to have as a flight attendant.
Hello everyone, today is a fantastic day
because we are going somewhere
that I think is going to be absolutely incredible.
I have been wanting this flight attendant trip
and layover for two years now.
This is seriously one of my dream flight attendant trips
and I am so, so excited to bring you all along with me.
I feel like it's Christmas morning.
Let's head into the airport and go to Alaska.
Just made it to my hotel here in Anchorage, Alaska.
Y'all, that flight was six hours and 50 minutes long.
That's the longest flight I've worked in a while.
But I am so happy to finally be here.
Look, I even put on my big winter coat
because it's just a little bit colder here
than it is in Texas.
Quick room tour before I go to bed.
You all saw the bathroom a little bit just through here.
We have one king size bed,
cute little chair with a table next to it.
We might be able to see this mirror better in the morning,
but look at how cool this is.
It's a moose.
And then there's the mountains in the background.
I am tired and ready for bed.
So I think I'm gonna shower and start winding down
because we have some big plans tomorrow.
So I will see you all in the morning.
Good morning, everyone.
It is currently 8.32 a.m.
It is still dark outside.
The sun doesn't rise here until 9 a.m.,
but I am in my pajamas and it's time to get changed
and ready to head to breakfast.
All right, first layer of clothes.
We have on a long sleeve shirt and a pair of leggings,
followed by some long socks,
pair of jeans that go over the leggings and socks,
a scarf, definitely have to add a hat too.
Have to pull the whole look together,
even though I kind of look like I'm going to rob a bank.
Next up are these super cute snow boots.
I can't stand when my hands are cold.
So I had to bring some gloves with me.
I wore these in college all the time.
DU is where I went to school.
I will tell you what,
there will not be one inch of my body today,
except maybe for my face that gets cold today.
Normally y'all always see me in summer clothes
and bathing suits because tropical louvers are my favorite,
but I'm not gonna lie,
I'm kind of digging the winter vibes this year.
Okay, now that I am sweating
and all of these layers in my hotel room,
I think I'm ready to go.
First thing we're gonna go do
is have breakfast with my crew.
And then I booked a sightseeing excursion
that I am so excited for,
and my whole crew decided to join as well.
So let's finally get out of here and go exploring.

Breakfast was fabulous,
and now we are heading down
to the downtown Anchorage Visitor Center
where our tour bus is going to pick us up
for our excursion.
♪ It's calling me ♪
We just boarded our tour bus,
so now we're gonna go out
and see some glaciers and wildlife.

The first stop that we are making on our tour
is at Beluga Point,
and let me tell you all,
I don't think my camera can do this place justice.
This is probably one of the most beautiful places
I have seen.
I feel like I'm in a postcard.
This is gonna sound so cheesy,
but I'm like tearing up.
I don't think I've ever seen something
or a place so beautiful in my life.

The next spot that we have come to
is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center,
which is absolutely amazing.
I'm so excited to see some of these animals.
I think back there,
the wolves were either like asserting their dominance
or one was trying to mate with the other
because they looked like they were fighting
and it was getting pretty intense.
And, you know, me, I just wanna like step in
and be like, stop, don't hurt her.

But obviously, like, I'm not gonna go, you know,
try and put myself in the middle of wolves.
These are closed encounters
for the safety of the animals and the people.
So obviously you can't get too close to them,
but if you ever find yourself in the Anchorage area,
I highly suggest you pay this place a visit.
We just made our next stop on the tour
and it is called Portage Valley.
We are now going on a little rainforest walk,
hoping to see some more glaciers,
but being here in the forest while it's raining
definitely feels a little like a fairy tale
and very whimsical.
We are at the last stop of our tour
before we head back down to Anchorage
and this is a beautiful lookout point.
You can see some more of the mountains
and a little waterfall.
Just got back to my hotel and wow, what an incredible day.
I am seriously chilled to the bone though.
I am so cold.
I know some of you are gonna come on here
and be like, it's not that cold.
It's not, you know, like in the negatives,
but cold is relative, okay?
I'm not used to weather that's like this.
I grew up in Vegas and yes,
I did live in Colorado for five years,
but it's been a while since I've lived there.
And I just feel like my body never adjusted
to the cold.
Now we can actually see out my hotel room window
and look at all of this beautiful fall colors.
I absolutely loved getting to get out and explore today.
I loved seeing all of the winter scenery.
Definitely has me excited for more of like my fall
and winter travel plans.
One of those being my sister did start her own
dance company in Salt Lake City, Utah.
It's called Femme Dance Co.
And I'm gonna put a link to her company
in the description box below,
but she is actually having a winter show
that she is currently fundraising for.
So if you feel so inclined,
I will definitely leave her GoFundMe
in the description box below.
If you are interested in supporting her company
and her dancers,
I know that would mean a lot to both me and her.
Next thing on the agenda is I need to figure out
what I'm gonna do for food because I am so hungry now.
All right, y'all.
So the hotel restaurant doesn't open for a few more hours,
but I had a lot of people recommend 49th State Brewery to me.
So I'm gonna order a burger from there
and have that delivered here.
Normally, I would always want to go eat at the restaurant,
but I'm freezing.
I just don't wanna go back outside again.
And I do need to get some rest
before we work this all-nighter flight
back tonight to Dallas.
♪♪
I changed back into pajamas
and my food just got delivered.
I am so ready to eat.
I was really craving a burger.
So that's exactly what I got.
And some French fries.
And then I also picked up a strawberry lemonade.
I know that this restaurant has amazing seafood.
However, I'm not a big seafood fan.
And if I'm gonna pay money for food,
I wanna make sure that it's something I know that I'll like.
Oh my gosh, you guys.
This strawberry lemonade is so good.
It's really sweet, but also has an earthy taste to it.
♪♪
Took a little power nap, and now it is time to head out.
We are working just one flight tonight,
and it is from Anchorage back to Dallas.
This is an overnight flight.
We leave, I think, at around 8.40 p.m.,
and then we land back in Dallas around 6 a.m. tomorrow.
This was honestly one of my dream layovers
to have as a flight attendant.
I can't even put into words
just how beautiful of a day today was.
It seriously felt like I was on another planet.
It didn't even feel like I was on Earth.

you need to put it on there right now.
I had 24 hours here,
and I feel like I really made the most of my time,

I already have new ideas and new things
that I really wanna do next time I'm here.
Like, there's these glacier cruises

The local time is 6.57 a.m.,

It was really smooth, but man, it felt really long.
But kinda crazy to think that it's not even 7 a.m.,
and I'm already done with my work day.
But the next thing I need to do is go home
and take a nap before I get the rest of my day started.
I took a nap, and then I've been busy
running errands all day,
but I wanted to show you all this cute sweater I got
from Alaska.
Has a bear on it and says Alaska.
Here, you can see the bear better.
But I loved it and wanted to buy it
because I actually got to see bears in Alaska.
Also bought this magnet.
As most of you know, I collect magnets

So I put it right here, and oh my gosh, you guys,
