A Very Special Day! Flight Attendant Life

Hello and good morning everybody. I am actually at the salon right now. Well right now I'm in my car. I'm about to go into the salon and get my hair done but today is a very special day because it is little miss Luna's birthday. You all know just how much we love our dog Luna. She is just the best and I cannot believe that she turned five today. But anyways I am gonna go get my hair done and while I do that you guys can watch this little birthday video compilation that I made for Luna. All right back from the salon. What do we think? I went super blonde this time. I love it. I think it looks so pretty and I also had her do a middle part. I normally don't do a middle part but I don't know. What do you guys think? The reason why I wanted to get my hair done was because Eric and I leave next week for Florida for our cruise. On my way home I do need to stop at this place called Three Dog Bakery so I can pick up Luna's birthday cake. Yes I am that kind of dog mom. But you know she's the best and she deserves the world. There she is. There's the birthday girl. Hi Luna. Hi sweetheart. Here is Luna's birthday cake. This looks so cute. We got her the peanut butter flavor. Obviously we can't give her all of this right now but we'll give her a piece later. But what Luna can have right now is this toy that I got her for her birthday. All right Luna you just take that. That's your birthday present. As you all can tell I did some fall decoration shopping so we're gonna do that today. And then I also just got in a new pair of Vessies. So right now I am actually just laying out by our apartment pool. I love this pool. It is probably my favorite amenity of our apartment. It is just so peaceful out here and I've actually been trying to come out to the pool every day for about an hour lately because it just really helps me feel centered. Like something about being in the sun, listening to the fountains in the water, and I really like to read out here. So right now I'm reading this book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Sometimes I'll meditate out here. It's just really nice and I think being outside in the sun and getting that little bit of extra vitamin d is really good for my mental health as well. Yesterday I had totally meant to start decorating our apartment for fall which honestly I feel kind of silly decorating for fall and yet I am still outside sunbathing. It's like 90 degrees Fahrenheit out but you know what? That is just fall in Texas for you and if the weather is going to be this warm, beautiful, and sunny then I will be out here. I definitely do still want to decorate for fall today though and the reason why I didn't decorate yesterday was because I started editing my vlog from Alaska and let me tell you guys. Okay so sometimes when I start something I just I get so enthralled in it and I just can't stop. Like when I am reading a really good book and I just cannot put it down, I will sit there for hours and just read and it's so interesting because I actually saw a tweet the other day. I wish I took a screenshot of it so I could give credit to the person who said it but anyways I saw a tweet the other day and it was talking about people who have ADHD and I have ADHD and they were saying that for people like me who have this diagnosis it's really hard to start and then it's really hard to stop and I found that so true because sometimes it's really hard to get myself going and it's really hard to just do the task or to just start doing something but then once I start it it's so hard for me to stop because I get hyper fixated and hyper focused on it and I feel like that's how I was with editing my video from Alaska yesterday and to be honest it's one of my favorite videos so far that I have like ever edited and that video is gonna go live after this one so the timing is um a little bit not exactly in chronological order. That is because oh my gosh this video has so much footage like right now it's about 24 minutes long and this is the biggest vlog, the longest vlog that I have ever made. There is more footage to this one, there is like physical challenges to it, there's like talking and this and that and it's just it's one of the most like complex and honestly I think one of the best vlogs that I have ever made. I know I'm like really hyping it up and I'm really like hyping myself up but I'm really proud of it so far and I just want it to be perfect so I had to take a step away from it to sort of like clear my head from it because I feel like if I just edit a video like all the way through and then I don't take my eyes off of it I don't notice like little mistakes or little editing things so um I'm not gonna work on that video at all today I'm gonna pick up working on it again next week. Anyways that is a really long story about why I didn't decorate for fall yesterday but it's true. This feels like a really chatty section of my vlog but I don't know I just feel like I have a lot to say. I do have a question for you guys so since that video is over 20 minutes long I'm curious do you guys like videos that are that long or do you prefer ones that are more like 10 to 15 minutes long? I definitely try to make my vlogs as long as I can without the footage being either repetitive or boring. I feel like my vlogs could be a lot longer but there are definitely sections that I will cut out as I'm editing because I'm like okay I'm getting bored of myself talking here so I can't even imagine like how bored my viewers would be. I just finished getting ready we are going to a friend's party and I feel like this outfit is the closest I could get to dressing like fall when it's still 90 degrees outside. Here you guys can see the whole thing so I'm wearing these wedges from Tom's and then honestly I cannot remember where this skirt or this tank top is from but I don't know I think it looks cute. Before we go to the party I want to finally show you guys all of the fall decoration stuff that I got. So everything I bought was either from Target or Home Goods. So I got this autumn harvest candle from Target and oh my gosh it smells so good. I went fall shopping with my friend Tiffany and we got these matching mugs that say stay cozy on them and I think these are so cute because this is good for fall and winter. I'm a big blanket girl I love blankets so when I saw this one and how soft it was I just had to get it. It's like a foresty green with leaves and pumpkins on it. It's a plush throw blanket but yeah oh I just it feels so soft. I honestly cannot remember where I got these pumpkins from. I got these a long time ago so that was these little guys were actually the extent of my fall decorations that I kept from our previous apartment. I wanted a wreath to go outside our front door but I wanted something a little bit different that wasn't gonna be just like what everybody else had so I found this really cute one and it's not like your typical wreath which is why I really liked it. It says gather you know it's just really cute I don't know I just really liked the colors to it and I feel like it really matched the theme for all of the other stuff that I bought this year. Okay so the next few things that I bought I'm gonna have to put together and kind of just like make it what I want it to look like but I bought this little table runner to go on our dining table and then I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with these yet but they are just little sparkly pine cones so I don't know I'll just kind of have to figure out where I want those to go and then I also got these decorative fall leaves they're different colors and I was thinking of putting these by the tv. Oh and then I am really excited about this next thing so I have this really pretty orange vase that I actually bought a bunch of fake flowers to put in and I feel like fake flowers normally don't look good but I saw these and I just loved them and I did this in the store like I made the vase in the store with all of these flowers so I know that they all will fit in here I just have to redo it and make it look pretty but yeah so I have all of these flowers that I am going to put in this vase and this will probably be the centerpiece of our table. I feel like I really didn't buy too much like I didn't go crazy with it but I bought just enough to be festive. Oh and I forgot to mention that I also bought two of these really pretty orange knit pillows. I need to fix the couch and put the new blanket on and fold everything up but I think that these new orange pillows are going to be a really nice touch.
