NEW HUDA BEAUTY LIQUID MATTE LIPSTICK SWATCHES & REVIEW | LONG WEARING MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK

Hey guys, it's Annie. Welcome back to my channel. In today's video we're going to be trying out Huda Beauty's new liquid matte formula. This new launch is a combination of their original shades just with an upgraded formula and also just like a bigger shade range to match more skin tones. The beginning of the video is going to be all lip swatches so that you can see how they actually look on the face and then at the end of the video I'll have them all on my hand so that you can see just like a standard swatch I guess. But yeah, let's get into it. Also my hair I haven't washed in like a week and it's looking really gross so I just threw on this blonde wig. What do you guys think? It's a little dry, so don't judge me. Dry ass weave. Busted ass makeup. Okay, let's get into it. Alright guys, so these are the liquid lipsticks that I have here. So I have five shades. I'm gonna swatch all of them on my hand and then also on my lips so that you can see how they look on the face. This is apparently a new and improved matte formula for Huda. So let's just read a little bit about it. So it says, our best-selling liquid matte lipstick just got better. It's vegan-friendly. I don't know if they were vegan before, I guess maybe they weren't, but they're vegan-friendly and even more comfortable with extended shades. This is apparently an insanely long-lasting formula so it wears up to eight hours. It's transfer proof and ultra comfortable, which I already said. It's available in 16 shades. Apparently there's zero stickiness, which I guess was a factor in the other mattes, I remember that. So this is a really thin formula, a buttery suede matte finish, nudes for every skin tone, and it's infused with their love complex, which is lycopene, olive oil, vitamin A and vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and this is supposed to help with the moisturizing factor. It's also complete with an FSC certified recyclable carton. Alright, let's just get into it. The shades that I have here are Icon, Trophy Wife, Miss America, Perfectionist, and Bombshell. This is how each package looks individually, and then this clear carton just slides right out. It's the same doe foot applicator, just for those of you who don't know what is application? Applicator? Applicator? Oh, so this one's a really nice blue base red, so it's gonna make your teeth look really white. I really love this shade, like look how white it makes your teeth look, and especially if you have like a medium skin tone, this color is perfect for you. Next up, we have Miss America, which looks like a really true red. This formula does feel really nice. I definitely notice a difference, which is something that I didn't really think about until they said it. It's not over drying, and it definitely moves with your lips, like I don't know how else to explain it, but I really like this formula. Next up, we have Trophy Wife, which is just such a beautiful like berry shade. This also applies really quickly. I know on the packaging, it says like one swipe of color, but I am not somebody who can just be like, I mean, I'm seeing it on Instagram videos, other people doing that. I don't know if that's just an editing trick, or if I'm just inferior. Why don't I wear this color more often? I really like the shade, especially with the green eyes. I mean, it might seem like a bit too much, but I kind of like it. I almost look like a modern evil villain. Next up, we have Bombshell, so this is a beautiful mauve-y pink. This actually looks really good with like a berry shade liner, gives it some dimension. I really do love this formula dried down, like look at it. It just looks really, really good, and it's not like, I don't want to say that their old formula was like crinkly, but it definitely gave me that line after a little while, because it was a little bit over drying, but this feels really, really nice. I know I keep saying that, but just reiterating. Last but not least, we have Perfectionist, which actually looks almost exactly like my actual lip color. I don't know which one I like more out of, this is Perfectionist and Bombshell. I really love them both, but I would say my top three from the five I tried are Icon, Bombshell, and Perfectionist. I really love this new formula. Let me know what you guys think if you wind up trying it out. This is going to be released in stores on January 19th, which it'll be available online and in store January 19th. Why did my voice get really raspy all of a sudden? These are $20, which I think is a great price point for Huda. These liquid lips really do last a long time, and you don't need a lot, especially with the newer formula. They're saying it's the thinnest formula, at least that they've made. I don't know if I can say like it's the thinnest formula on the market, but it's very comfortable. It wears very, very well. It almost doesn't feel like there's anything on my lips. It's very weightless. When these are released in stores, I might go buy the other shades. I think I said it was 16 shades total. They sent me five. I'm assuming it's just kind of the five that are catered more to my skin tone or that they think I would like best or like best sellers. Let me know what shade was your favorite that I tried on today. This one's really growing on me, but I do think overall Icon was my favorite, which is very surprising because I'm not like a really bold lip type person. I don't know if I would go this blonde now like thinking about it. I think it would probably be maybe like two shades darker than this color just because for maintenance reasons that would be such a pain in the butt.
