I guess I have to do laundry today. Everything needs to be washed.
You guys gonna be in my laundry bag like undercover Asian.
After clean clothes and a clean bed, nothing better than being myself clean. So let's have a shower.
Alright guys, I've been chilling here. I didn't move. I've been just, I realized that I had some
good internet connection. So I've been just scrolling online and just,
yeah, I've been here for a little bit. So I am currently just making a quick dinner,
which would be pasta. It's been a while I didn't eat some pasta. So I'm gonna show you.
So I have some pasta boiling right now. This is the pasta that I use, old wheat pasta. And I'm
as well. So I'm probably going to add this. And I think, I think I have some plant-based sausage,
so I might add this. So it'll be good too. So right when the water, when the pasta is almost
done cooking, because I only have one burner, that's all I do. When it's almost done, I put
this on my wood cutting board, sorry. And I'm going to, oops, no, one second.
It gets crazy here. When this is going to be almost done, I'm going to put that on the cutting
board and I'm going to put my vegetable and leave that, the pasta in the hot water just to keep it
warm and make the pasta finish to cook as well. So this is all I work with just one burner.
All right, guys. So I'm going to pull that down. So the pasta are done. I strained them in my
gray water tank. I put a little bit of sugar snack peas at the end that I just chopped
and the sausage, and we're going to make a quick sauce. So let me put this pasta in.
I'm going to put a little bit of soy sauce, a little bit of chili flakes.
The sausage were already like quite spicy, so I'm not going to put too much.
A little bit of onion powder and curry powder, a bunch of curry powder because it's good.
And a splash of maple syrup and we should be good. Let's mix that. All right, guys,
this is my little quick dinner. So I'm going to eat this and we're going to go park for the night.
What do you want, kitty? What do you want? I've been talking. Yes, I hear you.
Oh, the joy of making your bed inside your van. Nothing better than spending half an hour trying
to make this bed perfectly just to end up removing everything and falling asleep.
The joy of putting ---- together when you live in a van. It's done now.
So while we are here at night, we're pretty much ready to go to bed right now.
I hear a couple of times in the comments and people ask me sometime in my life,
did I'm scared by myself living in a van? The answer is not really. Did that happen
sometimes that I heard a little noise outside and I'm just like, oh, what is that? And you
know what I mean? Like obviously that happened. That happened too that I decided to change place
never in the middle of the night, but mostly just before going to bed.
I usually like stay like if you want, chill in the back and kind of like listen the place and
see like that seems to be a good place. If my feeling told me it's not, I just move.
So while I'm here, I just want to share one of my worst, worst van life experience.
In fact, that's funny because that was with my boyfriend at the time. We decided to go
camping if you want for two weeks and we're kind of like looking for a place to maybe
move. And we decided to take his Astro van, which is a van kind of like low roof,
but like before I put the right roof, like low roof cargo van, a smaller, I think it's
four by eight as I mentioned in the back, it's quite small. And we decided to, yeah,
look for kind of place where maybe you want to move. And we were in the town, which is in Menton.
I'm going to share the place just for those of you who know, it's just a quite big town,
not huge, but quite big. And we park in the place that maybe wasn't, wasn't the greatest.
So we park in the construction type of area and his van was looking like really like
pretty much a van that could have tools and work in this place. And we park right in the back.
And what happened is in the middle of the night, I heard a car, like probably let's say
midnight, I heard a car coming and we were like in the back, that was a dead road.
So right away, especially when you're not used to live in a car and all that, you just wake up and
you just start to a little bit panicking. And the car left. I fell back asleep. Maybe an hour after
the car came back with not the same vibe. So the car came, two car came in fact, and
a fight start right behind our van. I was really worried, I was shaking, I was stretching. I was
so worried that those guys would decide to break into a van to get some tools and things like this.
The fight maybe lasts, I don't know, maybe 20 minutes. It was really big fight. We could not
understand what it was about because they were speaking another language. And I was worried,
I was worried. I'm like, oh, did they have guns? Did he like, you know, all bad and severe. The
fight would go and yeah, I was worried. They end up leaving and that was the end of like the worst
nightmare that I had in the van and I was with someone. That didn't stop me from living in a van
and since I'm by myself and I never had any problem at all, doesn't mean that I will never
have any, but I never had any big problem. What I want to say and tell you with this story is
this can happen anywhere. You can live in an apartment and have your neighbor have a big fight.
That was not something toward me, toward my van, toward us. That was something outside.
It was still scary. I was, even if my boyfriend, they were way more than us. I think there were
like five or six people, what seems to be five or six. And like, we couldn't see the fight,
we couldn't see anything because our van was just like, so like, we had like cardboard on the windows
and like everything was just like, so like, bunk all that we couldn't see anything. And it was
from this day, like, if something happened that will not stop me from doing this lifestyle because
I know how some it is. I know there's like some risk involved to it. There is risk of living
in the big city where you could, you know, like if you're a woman, you know what could happen,
even men too as well. But obviously in the van, I feel more like vulnerable in that sense,
but I had so many nice nights of sleep that those little things don't, I don't think about them
anymore. So my take on this, if you are thinking about van life and worry, I'm like, oh I'm gonna
be scared, you're gonna be scared the first night, first month, that's gonna happen. It happened to me,
will happen to you. It's obviously the more you do it, the more you're gonna feel better.
And obviously I'm not living in the area that you plan on doing van life here in British Columbia.
In Canada it's quite, it's quite good. There's obviously some neighborhood and some area that
a little bit more sketchy if you want, but overall it's quite good. But still even an area that is
quite technically good, something bad could happen, which is what life is.
All right, on that note with my words, sorry, I'm gonna go to bed because I'm tired.
All right guys, wish you good night and I will see you in the next video.
All right kitty, good night, bye-bye.
