Okay I think we will get started now. Hopefully everyone will come and join in as we get going
but as I've said in the thumbnail and in the title I'm going to just give you an updated
bullet journal tour now that we are six months into 2022. So let me just skip the initial pages.
Hello thanks for joining. Yeah just drop any comments or questions or anything in the chat
and I'll see them as they pop up but for now let's get having a look through this journal.
So yeah we are six months into 2022, obviously not quite all the way as we're only just starting June
but I thought this would be a good time to give you a little bullet journal update. So let's go
through. Obviously we've got my yearly pages, some of you might have seen these before but it's always
nice to do an updated tour for all the new people that are joining this channel every single day.
So we've got the future log, this one is inspired by Amanda Rach Lee as I've said a few times
and I just really liked how she used the dutch door so that you can have the nice title across
the top and still see it across both pages without having to draw it out twice because it did take a
little while to get it so precise. But it's also really useful because it just like adds a bit of
something extra to this page that would otherwise just be quite you know a bit boring, there's not
a lot going on so I really like that. And then we've got the year in pixels page. I've actually
not been very good with this, I keep forgetting to fill it in recently so as you can see I've
missed a few days but I will update that shortly. But I do love how it's turning out, it's just
because it's obviously at the front of my book I sometimes forget about it. But I've got the key
down here so this reflects how my day went that day so whether it was like an amazing day, loads
of really cool stuff happened, whether it was a rubbish day or I was feeling particularly anxious
and yeah I like how it's looking and I can't wait to see how it looks when it's all completely
filled in by the end of December so keep checking back in and you'll see it slowly fill up throughout
the year. Then we've got my bookshelf spread, again not read another book since I last filled
it in but I am slowly reading one and you know it is enjoyable I just don't have the time to
dedicate to it as much as I like at the moment. However I do love this spread so I'm happy to
have it in the journal, I just wish it was filled up a little bit more. But if you're reading
anything good and have any book recommendations then do let me know, I'd love to hear what you're
reading, what kind of genres you like etc. So moving on, then we have my goals page which is
always a fun one to look back on, what did I say at the start of the year was something I wanted to
focus on and it's just a good reminder to check back in with am I doing everything that I want
to be doing, have my goals changed at all. Finances are going pretty well, I'm working really hard and
saving a lot of money out of what I earn so that's always good, means I don't have as much to spare
but it's all for a good cause because my boyfriend and I are looking to buy a house next year so
that's really exciting. I think I'm doing pretty well with my content, I changed down from three
videos a week on YouTube to two and that's just more manageable and I would like to do a little
bit more on my TikTok if I could get the time but it's just making it work so a little reminder to
check back in with your goals that you set for yourself at the start of the year. Of course my
vision board is always going to be inspirational to me, I love looking back at it even though the
Mac, the iMac has now been achieved, it's still cute to see it in there and think and like reflect
back on the fact that I've actually done that and yeah I can just focus on all the other things
that I want to achieve. Doesn't necessarily mean this year but it's just a reminder of the life I
want to be living so highly recommend a vision board if you don't have one yet and I do have
some videos on my channel of me setting these up if you wanted to create something similar.
Then we've got the January spreads, I love how these look, they're so cute. Have you printed
your vision board? So these are all printouts, I got most of the pictures just from Pinterest
and I printed each one out, I put them all on like a pages or word document and printed them out and
then just cut them and arranged them as I liked them. It took a bit of fiddling around to make
sure that they work but got there in the end and I just added in some little quotes and bits of
washi tape to make it look a bit more scrappy. But yeah so on to the January themes which was
the space, constellations, that kind of theme with the blue and purple which are my favourite
colours. Let me know your favourite colours down in the comments and I just love how it looks,
I think it's nice and busy but also minimalist. I'm not really sure how that works but
that's what it says to me. My habit tracker, I've moved away from habit trackers recently
just because I think I'm so busy that I just need to focus on like doing the bare minimum like
getting decent sleep and maybe one habit like the reading that I'm trying to get better at.
So it's just interesting to look back and see how things have changed, put my one line a day. I do
like having those but again it's something I've moved away from recently, might incorporate that
again back in July. And the weekly spreads, back in January I was doing double page weekly spreads
throughout the month and I think they look really nice but as you can see I would always be left
with some blank space which was just annoying me and I would feel like I had to fill them.
So then I came up with this type of spread which kind of worked better, it was a smaller section
for writing my to-do's because I'm quite brief with my to-do's anyway to make them a bit vague
so that they're obviously keeping some of my stuff private but because of that I don't have lots and
lots of description of what I need to do so I need to kind of make my spreads work so it doesn't
look like there's too much space left over. Then we moved on to February, again a different style
of designing the pages this time than I'm used to but I do think it looks really really cool and
I love this quote, life is short the world is wide and I want to make some memories from
Mamma Mia 2 I believe. I love that film, it's reminded me that I want to watch it so
maybe let me know if you've watched it and if it's one of the films you really like.
Then we've got new tracker and sleep tracker, again I do like how these tracker pages looked
at the start of my journal. I've had to make my journal a bit more
use-focused as opposed to just going off what looks nice and what I like to create.
Obviously the beauty of bullet journaling is you can adapt it literally every week if you want to
but here you can see I was doing the habit trackers on the week, I was experimenting with
whether that makes me change my habits throughout the month or whether I'm more diligent with them
because they're on the weekly spreads, it was just fun to experiment. This was my experiment
with time blocking, I've explained it in other videos so go and have a look at those but basically
it didn't last and it wasn't even a good week to try it on because as you can see towards the end
of the week I actually got covid so that wasn't a good week for me. Then week four going back to
that similar like random dotted around spread style which I do really like. Then we've got
March, all my bumblebees, I just love this one it's such like a bright positive set of spreads.
The mood tracker I went with the honeycombs, I just thought it was like perfect of course
so I was going to choose the honeycombs and it definitely worked out well. This was a sleep and
water tracker combined so here I've got the days of the month down the side and then on this side
this is the sleep section so it's got the times across the top which the sleep tracker I've kind
of changed as I've moved throughout the month but here I was doing it so these are the times like 9pm,
10pm, 11pm, 12, 1, 2, 3 like throughout the morning and then I would highlight which time I went from
I went to bed and then when I woke up and so that's what all those lines are and obviously
you can see that they're a little bit more to the right maybe going to bed a bit later than planned
but yeah that's something we're always trying to work on here and then this is a basic water
tracker so these were just litres so a highlight going from up to whichever amount I drank
if that makes sense so for example if I had three litres the line goes up to the three
just very basic but I do quite like this graphic kind of style it looks a bit
massy I don't know I just like how it looks then we had the workout tracker which if you've seen
any of my flip throughs before you might have heard me say that I liked the idea of it but I
chose the wrong colours they were all just too similar that I actually messed it up like
I would think I had the right colour and go to put it into the tracker and then I realised it's not
the same colour as what I was intending it to be so that got a bit confused but it still looks cute
so we're gonna leave that there then we had a gratitude log again like I said that's something
I want to bring back just a bit of a timed thing whether I've got as much time to journal at the
moment as I would like maybe not but maybe in July I'll make an effort then we had the weekly
spreads I went back to a Dutch door style thank you so much yeah so I went with the Dutch door
style again I just love how it looks and just gives it a little something extra a bit more fun
I don't know just fun to play with there and then it was April so this was my first
it felt like a very original set of spreads hello thanks for joining yeah so a lot of the
other spreads especially as I was first starting out because you might not know this but yesterday
was my one year since I started my tiktok and my meganote stuff I had actually created an
instagram before over the years but never really stuck to it so it was basically my meganote one
year anniversary yesterday um but because I was quite new to the whole bullet journaling stuff
I was using a lot of ideas that I'd seen on instagram and obviously tweaking them to be my
own but you know like lemons for example a lot of people have done lemons before whereas this was
my first proper original set of spreads I felt like I'm really happy with how it turned out so
had my little mood tracker again top tip for mood trackers is make sure that you use a shape that you
can repeat easily and doesn't take too much time for example it wouldn't have been any good to
draw the duck out um 30 times or however many days were there um whereas the little raindrops
they can fit in nice and easily easy to replicate easy to draw loads of times then we had casual
magic which was my spin on um jd jade's idea of casual magic and I used this as a gratitude log
so that was trying to look at the little bits of magic throughout your day you might not notice
otherwise so that was a really nice little thing that I did in april um and then april I was starting
to experiment again with my single page weekly spreads which I had tried in 2021 but then decided
I didn't like it whereas now I've kind of gone back to liking it I just like this dashboard style
I'm calling it I don't know if that makes sense but that's kind of what it looks like to me with
the graphs and like statistics and stuff um yeah I just think it looks really cool so I'm enjoying
that style at the moment but I did experiment a bit with you know going back and forth between
single spreads and double page spreads so let me know which one you prefer and which one you would
more likely use I think I prefer the double page spread in terms of there's more space to be
creative and set up the page um but in terms of not having excess space and that busy look that I
like it to you know I like my journal to look filled I think the single spreads work really
well for that um I do really like this set though just think the little stripes where if I've got a
bit of space that I'm not sure how to fill it this is kind of a good tip you can just do um every
other line in a color or you can even alternate between two colors that are in your theme um just
make sure they're light enough that you can write over the top and just call it a note section or
make it a space to plan for next week or anything like that anything you've got to focus on you can
just leave a little note section and fill up any empty space then we're on to may my favorite
favorite express so far again I'm getting more comfortable with doing more original designs
so I did strawberry soya milkshake because I'm vegan so it was soya milk because that is my plant
milk of choice I just love this so pink a little bit retro vibes um it just felt very me this set
of spreads and I liked this more simple cover page where it's just like really eye-catching
pops off the page then we've got a little calendar that I was just tracking the days as they went by
and I also had this to plan my youtube videos which you could use for I don't know school exam
whatever was relevant for the month then my mood tracker of course I went with strawberries so
these were an easy enough shape for me to replicate so that's why I went with those and of
course it fitted in with the theme very well um I wouldn't have liked to redraw these over and over
because they're a bit more time consuming but yeah I just love how it looks all filled in with
all the pinks and reds and it looks really cute then we had a different tracker as I said I'm
always trying to encourage myself to keep reading because I know that it means a lot to me like I
enjoy it I feel good once I've been reading and when you really get into a good book there's
nothing like it but it's just making the time and especially if you don't have much time you
sometimes might go a few days between reading it and then you can kind of get out of the swing
so I thought doing this would help me keep focused and motivated so it's days of the month down the
side and then pages read along the bottom um as you can see I wasn't doing any massive readathons
but keeping up with a fair amount of reading just throughout the month was nice to look back on and
like I said it worked as good motivation then we had the single weekly spreads so as I said in
April I was testing it out whether I wanted to do it or not and I thought for May I would go ahead
and just use the single page ones because I liked creating them so I'm really happy with how these
looked and this time I included the sleep tracker on the weekly spreads um just because I like how
it looks with the little graph on the page um but let me know what you think do you like this kind
of dashboard spread I just think it looks really cute um so yeah that's that and then we are on to
June which is obviously this month um I set this up in a plan with me video that you can go and
watch if you want to see these spreads come to life um but we are in June I was recreating the
lemon spreads that I made last June as it was my first you know it's my one year creating all of
these spreads and doing bullet doing bullet journaling online so I thought it would be a nice
little nostalgic moment to recreate the spreads that started it all off so we have my cute uh quick
page and the cover page then we've got a calendar page which is a bit of a different style than what
I might have gone with now but it was one of the pages I created this time last year so I wanted
to recreate it as close to how it was as possible just you know for my own sake um and then I
created a mood tracker because like I said last year I didn't really know what I was doing so I
came up with that one as I thought it would just be quite a cute one to fill in it's just the little
segments of the lemons that you fill in and then I had a few days left that didn't fit into the
segments or I've just used the leaves for those um so that was easy enough and then we are on to
the weekly spreads so we are here today so that's why obviously the rest of this isn't filled in
but again I'm going with the single page weekly spreads and I'm really enjoying that so far
um I'm loving how it looks I like how I'm using the three main colours of my theme
um to work together on the page so I'm using the darker yellow from the outside of the lemons
for the different trackers I've got a sleep tracker again but I've also incorporated the
little book tracker like what I did in May um that I dedicated a whole page to here
I've done mini versions on the pages just because I thought you know I'm never going
to be reading those pages a day probably unless I'm maybe on holiday by beach somewhere
um so just having a small tracker as a reminder to try and get a few pages read each day
um it's just working well for me so far so we've got the sleep and the book tracker and like I
said if you ever end up with a bit of space left over then um just draw a few lines and you can
use it as a notes page or um content ideas or bullet journal spread ideas whatever you want
to jot down I'm using it for next week because I often get to the point where I've got some
things that I know I need to do next week and I like to have a bit of space to jot those down
so I don't forget um and you also what's slightly different you might notice that these are only
five days I've only gone from Monday to Friday for these two weekly spreads I did this last week
because it was um a bank holiday in the UK because it was the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
um for those who don't know what Jubilee is it's celebrating how long the Queen has been the Queen
basically and it was 70 years for her over the weekend so I just did five days and then I thought
it might look a bit weird if I'm not doing five days on the other matching page so that's just
why I went with that however I am trying to have weekends off so maybe I'll stick with that and
see how that goes if it encourages me to uh just work during the week we'll see um but that is it
I obviously haven't created my next few weekly spreads yet because I do those as I go through
so that I can create them um for my TikTok page but that is it that is my journal I am loving how
it's looked I hope you've enjoyed seeing the kind of progression from you know the crazy colourful
pages at the start to the more intense database type of spreads as we've gone through we've gone
from loads of trackers to not so many trackers we've gone from double page spreads to single
page spreads and I just think it's cool to see how your kind of taste changes and what you want
to track and all of that um but I really hope you've enjoyed this video please don't forget
to give it a like and leave a comment on the actual video if you've watched it live because
it just really helps support my channel and give it a little boost don't forget to subscribe and
hit the notification bell if you haven't already and I'll be seeing you in the next one thanks
everyone bye
