Love uuuu
This person who has my camera has also these bikini photos of me and who knows if I'm gonna
end up on some random porn site. Everything combined was $15,000. Nothing was gone through.
It literally looked exactly how we left it. She literally would not question the maid. Suspicious.
Okay. Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. So today I'm gonna talk about something that I said
that we were gonna talk about on my Instagram. Like I said that I was gonna do this video.
Okay, so I'm gonna be doing my makeup while I tell you guys this story and it is so ingrained
in my head and just like every time I do these big trips, ---- like this happens. Like it should be
illegal for me now to go on these trips because they cost me twice as much to go on them because
just horrible stuff happens all the time, okay? Okay, like start off like the whole thing. Like
first I decided I was gonna meet my friend traveling because she had been traveling for
like five months prior and I was like it's such a great idea. I'm gonna come meet you after my
school's done. We're gonna have a grand time and we're gonna go to all these places that like
never been before. We went to Italy, France, Germany, and Croatia but we started in Italy
and I think this was like the second place we went to. Like the second place. So we were in
Florence and I think this was just the second day that we were there. This whole trip I was the
most scared of getting my camera stolen. Like I was just constantly checking my bag, constantly
checking who was around me, and like we had a couple incidents where we could tell these guys
were trying to get in our bags and we like were just so like on on edge the whole time. Especially
like after that happened like we knew like pickpocketing is a huge thing. There's signs
everywhere in like airports and train stations in Italy like saying watch out for pickpocketers. So
like we knew it was like a thing going into it but like I was so protective over my camera and just
over the things in my backpack. I usually wore the backpack on the front of me and like literally
holding it like it was my child. Like that camera I told my boyfriend so many times like before I
left like this is my child. Like this is my child and when I got that new lens I was like do you
want to see my second born? Like it was literally my child. Like the closest child I have ever had.
And we were staying in this hostel. We wanted to stay in hostels to meet people but then we soon
realized we were like the most anti-social. Literally have such bad social anxiety and we're
just so introverted that it was just it was never a possibility for us to meet people anyways okay.
Like so that idea should have just never been an idea to start off with but it was an attempt on
our part to like meet people when we were traveling. We were staying in this hostel and it wasn't a
room. Like it was a private room. You had to have a key card to get through these doors and then a
key card to get in the elevator and go up to your floor and then another key card for your room. So
it was pretty well protected and this was like the best rated hostel in Florence. So like and keep in
mind too my friend had been traveling for like five months prior to this and she is very into
designer. Like I'm telling you this girl like she loves her designer and just everything like that.
So she did get a lot of designer bags on the way but she is not a flaunter. Like she does not
like to show off like what she has. Like honestly like I don't think she ever brought any of her
designer bags out to like wear and stuff and everything was always packed away. And like we
really didn't walk around like these money-filled people. Like that's just not who we are and we
weren't walking around like that. We didn't come off that way. Like anyway so she had all her
designer bags and in the hotel room she would just leave them on the floor. Like but like where are
you gonna put it? You know you have all these bags and we had a safe that we locked all our very like
valuable stuff in there. She had a lot of golden diamond jewelry that she also bought like throughout
her trip and stuff. So it wasn't even that she brought stuff from Vancouver with her traveling.
It's just everything she bought on the way. So she had a bunch of stuff like that in there. She had her
camera in there. We had like our iPads, laptops because like I wanted to edit like on the way.
And then we had like my camera, different lenses and her different lenses. Like all are like
extremely valuable stuff that we were like so scared to leave in that hotel room. That's where
everything was. Yeah so everything was locked in the safe and like to add on to the fact that like
my friend Normie like we never brought anything out and nobody saw like what we had. Like my camera
was always in my bag and I would never take it out unless like we were like I don't know found a
little good photo spot and like just like we were really far away from our hostel. Like we talked to
nobody. Like when I tell you we are like so anti-social and like have such bad like social
anxiety. Like we talked to nobody. Nobody knew where we were staying. Nobody knew like how long
we were there for. They knew nothing about us. And when we checked in nobody was there. When we went
to the floor of our rooms nobody was ever in the hallway. Nobody ever saw us go in our rooms,
out our rooms. Nobody saw anything. Like the only person that saw anything that we had
was the maid. She cleaned our room two times. Nothing out of the ordinary. Um but yeah she is
the only person who knew what was in that room. I mean she didn't know what was in the safe but
she knew everything else. Like saw everything on the floor and like in our bags. Like she
knew what was in there. Like anybody that was in there would be able to like see
what's on the ground and stuff. So this day I decided I wasn't gonna bring my camera out because
we were just shopping for gifts and stuff and we didn't want to take photos today because like
honestly taking photos constantly is a chore. It's not always fun and it's just like sometimes you
really just want to enjoy the place you're in and not feel like you got to take photos all the time.
I know that may sound so stupid to some but especially for me like it gets tiring. Like I
don't want to do it all the time. Anyway so we just want to enjoy ourselves,
shop around. We didn't want to have to worry about constantly checking our bags. Like
to make sure like we still have the camera and make sure we still have everything. So we were
just minding our golly old good business just out in Florence and we get back to the hotel
I guess around four-ish and everything looks normal. Like everything is literally like
we don't notice anything. And then I'm in the washroom and I hear Chelsea being like,
did you come in the safe? And I was like, what are you talking about? She's like, have you been in
here? And I just told her no. Like I just got home. I was like, what was wrong? And she was like,
all my gold and diamond jewelry is gone. And she was just like, what the heck? And she's like
freaking out. Then I look in my camera is gone. I had two lenses though with me and they didn't
take my other lens. That was like $4,000. Like you were smart. You would have taken both of them,
sir. But like, I'm very thankful for that. But yeah, so my camera was gone. And then later we
realized that she had like a little Louboutin, like kind of like, I guess like it's kind of a
makeup case, but she has her camera and all like her lenses in there as well. Later we realized,
but that was gone too. And we were just like, what the heck? We were so confused because nothing
in the room was touched. Like nothing was gone through. It literally looked exactly how we left
it. Like all of the designer bags were still there. Like everything was still there. So
immediately after that, we went downstairs and we told them exactly what happened,
that someone broke into our room. Somehow nothing was damaged and that $15,000 worth of stuff got
stolen. Like all her golden diamond jewelry, her camera stuff and my camera stuff, like everything
combined with $15,000. And I know a lot of people have said to me and like, or like, first of all,
why are you traveling with $15,000? And it's like, well, first of all, like we didn't know this was
going to happen. Like this hasn't happened before. And then also like my camera, it just happens to
be that much money. And it's my job to take photos and take videos and stuff like that. And I wanted
to do that throughout the trip. And on her behalf, like she bought all this stuff while traveling.
And honestly, if she were to send all that stuff home, like it just, who knows like if it would
get lost in the mail or stolen in the mail. Like I wouldn't feel comfortable sending all that stuff
home that she had with her. So we went to the front desk and we told them exactly what happened.
And we were just like, like what the heck is going on? Especially because you need so many cards to
go up there. Like nothing made sense. It was a little, a little bit suspicious. But so they were
calling the owner or manager. I kind of honestly forget like what she actually was. And they told
us that they can't look at the footage until we file a police report. So we were like literally
so just shook about the whole situation. Didn't even know what to think. And we're like trying
to find the police station, which was pretty close to our hostel. But it was, it was hard to find.
The entrance to the police station in Florence, like if you've ever been there, what the heck.
Like we had to knock on this like door and everything just seems so sketchy. And like the
guards opened it up and it was just, it was honestly scary. Okay, like it was completely
dark in there. Like it felt like I, I don't want to like insult like the police stations in Italy.
And I don't know if they're all like this and I don't know if it was the time of day or what it
was. But I was just like, what is happening right now? We needed to file a police report of
everything missing. Chelsea was really upset because I mean, yes, obviously a bunch of stuff
got taken. But she was really upset because she was in Africa. And she had so many photos and
memories on her camera, which to her was far more important than the camera itself. Because that was
all taken because she hadn't uploaded them to her computer yet. And then I also realized that
my SD card was filled with these photos when I was in Positano. Oh, that's where I was before.
Yeah, we went to Positano before we went to Florence. So Florence was the third place we went
to. But yeah, I had a bunch of bathing suit photos on there when we were in Florence on a boat. And I
was just thinking this person who has my camera has also these bikini photos of me and who knows
if I'm gonna end up on some random porn site. And not only like, like, there's some really bad
photos on there in the sense of like, I it wasn't a great photo day for me. And I just I didn't look
great. And it's just gonna be like 1000 photos of me like, you know, like, it's not gonna be
a pretty picture. But now, he also has all of those lovely pictures. So we finally got into
the place where we could follow the police report. Like, honestly, it didn't seem like this person
really cared that much. And I don't want to but a lot of the descriptions we gave him and he spoke
English well, so it wasn't the language barrier. But he wrote a bunch of things wrong. And he was
missing a lot of information and items that we put in there. And you have to be pretty exact in those
police reports like what went missing. And we described every item like perfectly like even
pulled up online like photos of things that went missing. And it just seemed a little bit careless.
Like I don't know if this happens like so often that it's just it's just another another tourist
like having their stuff taken like I don't really know what the deal was. We didn't realize till
later because I think we were just honestly in shock. And I've never had to do this before. I
never had to file a police report or anything like that. So after that was done, which took
forever, we finally went back and the manager owner she was there and we said what happened
and we went up to the room and the first questions weren't insulting, but it was kind of just like,
like, what do you mean? Like the first questions were like, did you leave the door open? Like,
did you leave the door unlocked? Like, did you leave the windows open? Like, basically, what did
we do wrong? And it's like, we did everything right. Like I the whole trip was so cautious,
like I said before, about my surroundings about my bag, like literally on paper, we did everything
right. And every time we leave a hotel room, we double check the doorknob to make sure it's locked
like we are so able about this stuff. They asked all those questions. And we were just like, no,
no, no, like, so they came to the room and they checked everything out. There was like a couple
of this. That's another thing. There's literally security guards at the front of like the hostel
like by the like entrance door where you scan the keys that like are literally security guards. Like
what? What were they hired for? Because they did not secure the facility. Like I don't know. He
went up and like she went up and like the person at the front went up and they were basically just
like checking out the room and like seeing how they would have gone in and stuff. The door was
not damaged at all, like literally at all. And they checked the windows like everything and they
were as baffled as we were to like how someone would have been able to get up here firstly with
all the like key cards and stuff. And then also like in the room and why our room like this didn't
happen to anybody else. We were like, we don't want to point any fingers. We don't want to assume
it's like one person's fault or the other. But it just seems a little bit suspicious to us
that our room was the only room targeted. No one else's room got broken into. It was only ours.
Nobody saw us in the hotel. Nobody saw us leave. Nobody saw us go in. Nobody saw what we had. And
the only person that saw what kind of stuff we had in there was the maid. The only person that
has been in our room besides us was the maid. The owner or manager was very quick to say,
oh she's been working for us for like four or five years and she was like she would never do
anything like this. Like I was like, hey but like have you questioned her? Like I think you should
like at least question her if she did it because like that's the only possible reason like we can
see like happening. She was basically just like full no on questioning her. Like she wouldn't
question her. Are you kidding me? Like this is like the one person who could be like possible
in this situation. Like this is the only kind of lead we could possibly have and you're not
even taking action to like question her. So like she literally would not question the maid.
Suspicious. Okay. So they offered for us to stay overnight in the hotel once again.
Like that is literally the last place we are staying. Like are you okay? So we did not stay
that hostel. We went to another hotel and they were literally, they heard what happened because
Chelsea's mom was just the nicest woman ever and she put us in the Four Seasons and booked
everything and they heard what happened and they made our stay just so incredible. The next morning
they were going over the footage so we were to like come in and talk more. We legally were not
allowed to see the footage and basically they told us that, I forgot exactly what time it was,
but the time that we were gone shopping a 40 year old bald man, he broke into our room and how he
did it, he knew to take the back stairs up to the private rooms where you don't need any key card to
get up there and I don't know if this is like for like workers or something. Like I don't even know
why that staircase is there but he took that back staircase up. There were no cameras in the back
staircase. Thank god there were cameras pointed like close to our like room. So he walked directly
to our room. They said that he used something to get in the door but they didn't know what it was
because the camera was cutting it off. I don't want to make any accusations but like was it the
maid's key card? Like what did you use to get in the door? Because he didn't damage the door at all
but somehow he was able to get in the door. They didn't know what it was and we couldn't see for
ourselves what it was but he used something to get in the door and he was in there for a total
of four minutes. He went in there with a backpack and four minutes later he came out with his
backpack and he left the exact same way. First of all, where was the security? Did nobody- like I'm
just like it's so- from that point on we just had no idea how this happened like but yeah like I
don't want to say things that I have assumed. I'm sure you guys can piece things together on
what might have happened. To me it's just- it's just a little bit obvious um but it was 100%
targeted. I mean obviously it was targeted. We told the manager or owner whoever it was that
we were going to be back in Italy to go home because we had to go to Rome first to catch a
flight and we said that we would take a train to Florence to get the stuff if it was ever found
which was wishful thinking. I mean probably the day it was taken was the day it was sold and then
it's just forever gone. After that when we were in our other places in like Italy and stuff like
that we contacted the manager or owner and we basically like asked if they had any updates or
leads or you know what was going on with that and no response. Don't know what happened there
and we emailed them again to try to contact them again and no response okay like it showed that
they had no interest and no care in the situation and to make matters better nothing is insured.
Literally like my camera isn't insured, none of the jewelry is insured like so we never got
anything back. Still to this date this was in May 2019 so this year and to make matters even better
I mean oh my god I literally was like to my mom what did I do to get all this karma because I
believe in karma and I don't know like what I did and two days after this happened I was going to
sell my car that was sitting on the street in Vancouver and someone was coming to look at it
after this grand incident and my mom calls me saying that a drunk driver in the middle of the
night had hit and run the car they assume it's a drunk driver one of my neighbors got like the
last seconds of the kind of car leaving the videotape but you really couldn't tell anything
about that video and someone had completely totaled my car hit it and just left. I literally
cannot make this ---- up like what so yeah that happened two days after we arrived and my mom
called me and I'm just bawling my eyes out because I'm like sure like literally take all my money I
I didn't want it like take my camera take my car and since it was totaled I mean I still did get
money back from it but I would have gone like a third more or double I forget how much we were
going to sell it for if we actually sold it to the person that was coming to look at it a day
after it got crashed and we had to email him being like sorry like it's literally completely totaled
I'm laughing now um not because I think it's funny but I'm using it as a coping mechanism so
so yeah that was the end of my robbery story time my targeted robbery story time it was honestly
like completely insane but I hope you guys enjoyed it at least I got a video out of it which is just
it's so sad I would really prefer not going through that than a video but it is what it is
stuff happens but yeah if anything like this has ever happened to you guys before I would love to
know comment down below if you have any like kind of crazy stories about robberies or anything like
that but if you guys like the video give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel and I'll
see you guys in my next video
