Hey YouTube, it's Christopher from Cars Unlocked.
Today I'm unlocking the 2020 Nissan Rogue.
If you want to see more vehicles like this being unlocked, I do car unlocks of mostly
the Nissans, but any other vehicle.
So if you're a Nissan fan, consider subscribing to my channel.
Let's check out the 2020 Nissan Rogue from the side profile.
Now there's not too many changes from the vehicle I reviewed last year in last year's
model.
I've been told that halfway through 2020, they're going to release a redesigned Nissan
Rogue that I'll be sure to film for you when it comes in.
But for now, these 2020s have just hit our lot and I'm here to show it to you.
At the side, this is the SL.
So it is the top package.
There is an S, an SV, and an SL.
From the side profile, we can see that this SL comes with rear privacy glass and tinted
windows.
Our nice silver roof rails and all our handle accents are chrome.
Our side mirrors here, they have the LED turning signals right on the mirror.
And you can see this little bubble at the bottom.
That's for the 360 camera.
Gives you added visibility when parking.
Below the door, we do have some nice chrome door side sills.
Again, that adds to the luxury look that you don't get on the base models.
So Nissan has put basically every feature that they have into the Nissan Rogue, this
Platinum SL package.
Looking at the front, we can see some of those features.
It does have the chrome V-Motion grille.
Right in the middle of that is our flat out Nissan emblem.
The reason why they flat it out, because our forward sensor is right behind there.
That's going to help you with things like your forward emergency braking with the pedestrian
detection.
Has a nice LED headlights.
When you go up to the top model, you get the LED auto on off Nissan signature headlights.
You also have the automatic high beam assistant.
So it will detect when you have your high beams on if a vehicle is coming and automatically
shut off your high beams.
Down below is our LED fog lights.
So that's going to add to your visibility.
Below the license plate, we do have a nice front chrome bumper accent.
Again, adding to the sporty look and the luxury from the base models.
Let's check out under the hood and go over the power plan.
The 2020 Rogue is equipped with a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine.
It's going to give you about 170 horsepower and 175 pounds feet of torque.
Nissan's continuous variable transmission is equipped.
That's what they added into the Nissan Rogue back in the early years, 2008, and it is still
in the Rogue and in the whole Nissan lineup pretty much.
It's going to give you a phenomenal fuel economy.
That's what everybody likes about the Rogue.
It's going to average about 9.1 in the city and 7.1 on the highway.
This one comes with the intelligent all wheel drive, so it's going to be good in the snow.
Nissan advertises this as conquer all conditions.
It's going to automatically sense when you're slipping and sliding and the all wheel drive
will kick in.
A little different from a 4x4 system.
Then you get all the safety features that this vehicle has, like the lane prevention
assist, the lane departure, the blind spot warning.
The Nissan ProPILOT is very cool, which I filmed the whole video.
You can check out.
We do have our pedestrian detection and our forward and reverse emergency braking.
On the 2020 Rogue, Nissan has these two-tone 19-inch aluminum alloy rims, so you can see
with the black and the silver.
Behind it are vented disc brakes.
That's on the front and the rear.
Again, it is all wheel drive and it's going to come with your all season tires.
Perfect for the Canadian winter, it comes with the intelligent remote starter, so I
just need to lock the car and I can click and hold the remote start button and the vehicle
is going to automatically start up.
It's going to adjust the temperature to get it to 23 degrees automatically, so the car
is good to go.
You can cool it down in the summertime or heat it up in the winter.
So I jump right into the zero gravity seats that Nissans are known for.
Very comfortable seats.
It's an 8-way power adjustable driver's seat.
There is two memory positions, so if you and your wife drive, you don't have to keep adjusting
the seats all the time.
You can save it with the memory position.
The wheel is a nice large D-shaped steering wheel.
It does have the leather wrapping which adds to the comfort.
All my controls are right at my fingertips here.
My vehicle information screen I can control.
I have my Bluetooth controls on the right and then my cruise control and my pro pilot
assist.
So the pro pilot assist is something I really like.
I've done several videos which are on my channel going into detail about the pro pilot assist,
but basically it's Nissan's semi-autonomous driving system to keep you centered in the
lane and keep you focused on the road.
Intelligent cruise control also works in conjunction with the pro pilot.
That is right here.
The wheel is nice and heated, so again, great for the wintertime.
And then our wipers and our headlight controls are behind it.
For our infotainment, we have the 7-inch Nissan Connect touchscreen.
So right now we're showing the navigation.
Here's our home screen.
Everything is touchscreen here with it.
You can adjust your shortcuts and move them around any way you like.
Does come equipped with this SL package, the Bose audio.
So you have 8 speakers throughout the vehicle and the Bose audio sounds great.
You get the Sirius satellite.
You can play music through your Bluetooth.
A CD player is still equipped.
And of course you have everyone's favorite, the Apple CarPlay and the Android Auto, which
has recently been updated.
When I put it in reverse, that 360 camera comes on that I talked, touched on at the
start of the video and our backup camera makes it a lot easier to park.
And as I turn the wheel, those guidance lines will adjust to help me into the parking spot.
So the heating is all digital, so it has their dual climate control.
So I can adjust each side.
If I want to be hot and my girlfriend wants to be cold, you can adjust it here.
In our center stack, there's an electric parking brake, so that makes a little bit more space.
All these leather accents throughout the vehicle really add to the luxury look and the Rogue
has a lot of soft surfaces, which add to the comfort of the ride.
With the SL package, you get the electric parking brake, which it activates right here.
There's also this auto hold feature where that will hold the brake for you.
So if you're idling at a light or you're stuck in traffic, you don't have to put your
foot pressed on the brake the whole time.
The auto hold will hold the brake down for you.
There's a USB to charge your phone and connect to the Android Auto.
Our shifter knob is leather wrapped, so it's a straight back shifter knob and I can slap
it to the left if I want to use the sport mode and select my gears manually.
In the rear is where the Rogue really shines.
There's a lot of space back here and these seats are pretty flexible.
They're on rails, so you can slide them forward and backward if you want more space in the
trunk.
It's a 60-40 split for the seats, so I can fold them down.
When I get in, you'll notice that I'm sitting a lot higher than the seat in front of me.
That's the stadium style seating, so I can still see out and above the windshield.
And then I have the center armrest, which gives me room for my elbow and two cup holders.
And there's two cup holders in each door.
There's a few ways to open your trunk.
My favorite thing is with the motion activated liftgate and you would know that from my 2019
top 10 favorite things I liked about the 19 Rogue.
But you can also open it with the regular key.
There's a button in the driver's cabin and as well as the liftgate on the door here.
So as it opens up, you can see we have quite a bit of cargo space.
This is our privacy cover, which is going to stop people from seeing what you have in.
It is removable.
And then we do have the Nissan divide and hide storage system.
So this is going to adjust, you know, if you buy a bunch of watermelons,
you can stop them from rolling around.
There's quite a few different combinations.
And then our spare tire is right underneath there as well.
So there you have it, guys.
That's your unlock of the 2020 Nissan Rogue SL.
