Hey guys welcome back to our channel. Today we are giving you our yard tour
and this has actually been our most requested video
for probably the last couple of months. We've never done a yard tour in the four
years that we've lived here so we thought now that it's summer and
everything is bloomed we would take you guys on a tour around
the whole yard. I don't want to talk too much in this video but I will explain a
few different things when things come up. However I did want to mention that when
we walked through this house for the first time
this house was only on the market for one day when we went through it
and within three hours of us walking through this house we had already put an
offer in so we knew the moment that we walked in here
or at least I did for sure that I wanted this house.
I saw so much potential here and just the landscaping alone
was the biggest selling point to us. Just for reference our property is on over
half an acre and we are located in northern Utah.
Over here to the right we have a stream that runs through the whole side of our
yard. I have just always loved the sound of
running water so having this stream right here in our yard
was another big selling point.
If you missed any of our recent DIYs we made over all of the sitting areas this
summer so I will have videos linked in the description box below.
The garden area and our chicken coop were not things that were here when we
moved in. There was a garden over here but there
was no fencing at all so this is something that we have created
ourselves and obviously the same thing with the chicken coops. Thomas has
actually built two chicken coops. We started out with this white one over to
the left and that's actually where we keep them
in the winter time. It's fully enclosed and then in the spring summer and fall
months we like to keep them in this more open and airy chicken coop and we
decided to place this one at the end of the garden.
If you can see here the Chick Chick Inn sign I wanted to explain a little
background on this. So my grandpa Barker who was my mom's
dad he was a farmer but he also worked at the Barker service station which his
brother owned and that was like the only gas station here in North Ogden
while my mom was young. In the basement of that gas station
there was a Chick Chick Inn restaurant and again that was kind of like a famous
restaurant here in North Ogden before they tore everything down
and now one of our main roads is where my grandpa's gas station used to be so
it's all been torn up since then but I just wanted to explain a little bit of
that history so that that would make a little bit more sense why we decided to
name this coop the Chick Chick Inn.
This is something we do almost every single night. We don't have s'mores every
night but we do come out and sit by the fire
almost every night in the summertime and I just love that we have so many
different areas that we can hang out as a family.
Thank you guys so much for watching this video. If you have not hit that red
subscribe button make sure you do that and we will see you guys in the next
video.
