I also have to ask you about Stranger Things.
Everyone is so worried about Max.
Yeah.
Is she gonna be okay?
Does she recover from what Vecna did to her?
I need to know all the things.
Listen, I hope so.
Poor girl's been through it.
Like, she really needs, she needs a win.
I don't know, I don't know what her state is,
where we're going with this,
but I will be there in whatever way they need me.
Do you think that we will see her up and walking again?
I have so many questions and zero answers,
so I'm really looking forward to starting filming again,
because I mean, I'm as clueless
as the rest of the world right now.
Do you know when you guys start filming
Not For A While, probably?
I don't know, and even if I did know-
Couldn't tell me.
Couldn't tell you.
As you guys do wrap up this final chapter,
what do you hope for Max?
I'm sure you, like, are so attached to her at this point.
Yeah, I mean, I think I'm interested to see,
in a perfect world where she is back
from her comatose state,
I'm really interested to see how she's grown
from this whole experience.
I just want her to be healthy.
I think that's number one.
I'm sure you have seen this,
but there are so many rumors out there
that you are joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Oh, I saw this.
I can, I can, I'm denying these rumors.
It's not true.
It's not true?
Are you sure?
No, I've seen the rumors.
I don't know where they came from,
but as of now, they are not true.
Okay.
Would you want to join the MCU
if the opportunity presented itself?
I mean, there's fan art,
and you look pretty good in the MCU.
Oh, okay.
I need to, I need to look at this fan art.
Yeah, if the right superhero comes along,
then sure, but who wouldn't want to be,
who wouldn't want to play a superhero?
Do you have your eye on a specific superhero?
I mean, people want you in-
I don't know enough about it
to know what superheroes are available at the moment.
Like, how many do you have left?
So, I don't know.
I'll keep my eye out, though.
Dear Zoe, I have memories of you
from before you were even born.
You were funny, and loud, and sweet,
and I will never, ever forget you.
What an emotional movie.
I watched it this morning.
You get just a light morning, some morning view.
Yeah, for sure.
An easy Wednesday morning.
What was the most challenging part for you
in playing Tess?
I mean, it's a really tough mindset to get into.
I was also, it was three years ago.
It was, I think I just turned 17
when we started filming it.
So, this was a long time ago.
It was definitely a tough role,
and also very different than anything I'd done
up until at that time.
So, yeah, there were a few challenges
that came with the role as kind of demanding as this one,
but yeah, I think it was a really good learning experience
for me at the time.
How do you prepare for a role like this
that does require, I mean, so much vulnerability,
a lot of emotional scenes, some darkness, I want to say.
It was kind of blurring every day,
but I think I just really had to trust myself
and trust the people I was working with.
And Theo was really helpful
throughout the entire filming process.
So, it was amazing to have him.
Yeah, and Jessica Capshaw, who I love.
Yes, of course.
I was a Grey's Anatomy fan, so.
I was really looking, I was like, oh, Arizona.
So exciting.
Hey, Em.
Can I see?
What is it?
Santa lying face down, crying.
You do have a lot of siblings in real life.
How did your relationship with them
and your own kind of family dynamic
help you with this role, if at all?
Yeah, I can relate to just having a younger sister
and feeling like the responsibilities
of being an older sister.
So, I was-
Yeah, I was able to pull from that a lot,
which was really nice.
What do you want people to feel
after they watch this movie?
I think it's a great, beautiful coming-of-age story.
And I think a lot of teenagers will relate to it,
maybe not with the specific circumstances,
but just with all of these raw emotions and feelings
in this time in your life.
And just kind of perseverance
and how we move on and move past tragedy.
I'm your big sister.
I was supposed to protect you.
I also have to ask you about The Whale.
It's getting so much attention, awards buzz.
What was it like to be a part of that,
to kind of see all the reception around it
and to work with Brendan Fraser, who everyone just loves?
It's been the most incredible experience.
Brendan is, I mean, he's just the absolute best,
and we all know this.
So, yeah, it's been amazing
to kind of go on this ride with him.
And I'm really, really excited for everyone to see it.
We're all so incredibly proud of it.
And yeah, it's gonna, I guess, December 9th, I think.
So, yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
Fingers crossed.
Yeah.
There might be another Oscar nomination
for Taylor Swift's All Too Well,
the short film, it's eligible to be nominated.
What would that nomination mean?
I mean, I think she deserves that.
She worked so hard,
and I would love to see that happen for her.
It was such an amazing thing to be a part of.
So, yeah, it's very exciting, this potential.
But yeah, it was, I mean,
such a fulfilling experience doing that, so yeah.
Have you heard Midnight's,
could we expect you in a Midnight's music video?
Oh, no, no, no.
You cannot expect me in a Midnight's music video,
but I listened to it,
and I was just kind of,
me and my brother are like
trying to figure out our favorite tracks right now.
But yeah, I really, really loved it.
It's so hard to narrow down.
Yeah.
It really was.
What songs are you loving right now?
Right now, Labyrinth is number one for me.
And it wasn't at first, but now it's number one.
I can confidently say that.
Every day, it switches for me, too.
Right now, I'm like-
It really does.
Maroon.
Maroon is great, too.
