104. What's Inside This Unreal 66' DREAM YACHT [Full Tour] Learning the Lines
What's up everybody so the boat in this video is going to be pretty much the exact
opposite of the boat in the last video. It's not cheap and it's not small.
Speaking of our previous videos if you have been enjoying them go ahead and hit the subscribe
button to follow along but without further ado let's go ahead and show you this boat tour.
This is our boat now.
Oh my god.
First thoughts even before getting on.
I mean it's stunning. It's a beautiful boat for sure but it's huge. I couldn't imagine having
a boat quite this size. Let's take a look. Really nice solid lifelines back here but
actually I realize they don't go all the way around. There's cables forward of this
but on this aft section or maybe you're like coming in and out of the cockpit or something
it's nice to have. This is real teak isn't it? It is and it was actually just redone recently.
Very nice. It's very well done. This is interesting. Oh because this opens. There's
like a little mini dodger here. That's really cool. Yeah. So you can have that hatch open and
not worry about rain or spray. I'm actually really interested in this. It appears to be rod rigging
but also some sort of hydraulic system for tightening it as needed maybe. Probably.
Very interesting and this is a very intense dingy davit system going on here so
looks very heavy duty. I imagine you could have quite a large
dinghy on here. Electric. That looks like it's probably a 12-foot dinghy and then
you've got your satellite domes. I still, to be honest with you, I don't really know what these do.
There's some sort of. Some sort of satellite tv or. Yeah a grill I imagine is under that cover.
These seats are really nice with this padded back cushion. That's cool. We have the traveler here.
Yeah. The main sheet going up to the boom right there. This appears to be locked with something
you use a winch handle for so that's interesting. Let's see if we can open this one. This one opens.
Propane locker. Massive tanks in there. So that's a propane locker. There is rod holders,
derogs. Everything's like nice stainless. Everything's in immaculate condition out here.
So the bimini itself, the material is a soft bimini but it's got a hard frame. Yes. All around.
The grab rail situation is really nice. There's things to grab everywhere. Look at how high the
lifelines are. Yes. So here's where it switches from solid stainless to cable but I mean still
super secure and you've got a nice handrail here. Good hand holds. It looks like it has a dodger
that's been unzipped and taken off. Yep. The canvas is just, it's just been removed for storage. It's
in great shape as well but it does come with the canvas. So all of the rigging is rod rigging which
is interesting and it even has a hydraulic system for the boom as well. A little bit of the sail
is peeking out. Here's the traveler for the self-tacking staysail. Yeah. Yeah. That's a giant
whisker pull. That whisker pull is probably as big as our mast. Lots of rods so really good
ventilation. This deck is nice. Yeah the deck is beautiful. It's a little hot though to be honest.
Yeah real teak is a little hotter than than like a white deck like ours.
So we've got electric furlers, electric windlass, dual bow roller, a wash down hookup.
So there's the chain locker. What size chain is that? I don't know. Big. I'm not used to all these big
sizes. So I apologize for the construction noise. There's a little bit of construction
going on over there but one thing to notice is that there is, there is no bow sprit. So
this boat, the full length of this boat goes all the way to the bow. This is a true 66.
So looking back on this boat you can see that there is, there's a lot of boat.
You put, you did a foot open? You gonna open it? Yeah. Ready? Yep. That is a noisy hinge there though.
So here's a forward locker. Got some sails down there and this goes, I think it was pretty far in
there. Pretty good size sail locker. All right let's walk back. 77. 77 size winches. Wow. Oh my gosh.
All of their lines have electric winches. You ready to enter the cockpit? Yes. It is kind of
interesting that you have to walk all the way aft to enter unless you want to like crawl over. Yeah.
But the dual helms are so nice. So you've got dual helms and yeah in order to enter the cockpit you
enter from the stern. It's got, there's comings on the side to kind of keep you in place. Yeah.
So I feel like I would sit here but you can't. So I guess, I mean you've got a pretty good viewpoint.
Yeah. For me it's almost like the wheel gets in the way. It would be nice to have a seat right
there though wouldn't it? Yeah I agree. One little, one little fatigue. So let's see we've got cockpit
lights, boom lights, rudder lights, deck lights. We've got probably autopilot. Look at this guy.
Yeah that's going to be the bow thruster. We've got all the bells and whistles.
So the stations are different though I'm noticing. This one's got your chart platter.
Yeah chart platter there. You've got more controls right here Randy for your
for your lines, electric controls. So this this whole boat is basically with fly-by-wire pretty
much. It's all electric. Makes it easier until something goes wrong in my mind. Yeah that's true.
A lot of people have been asking about us commenting on how easily the boats we are
touring can be sailed solo or single-handed. And this boat, as you can see, all the lines
and everything run to the cockpit. You've got autopilot. You've got electric winches.
So this boat, although it's huge, would be very easy to single-hand. Very easy to shorthand.
We say that but we say that. But yeah we've never piloted a boat this big. But I mean
you got everything you need right here. It's actually a refrigerator. It's got a cold plate
in it. Nice. So you've got a refrigerator in the center. This this right here is a beautiful
beautiful area for entertaining. I mean just look at this. I've got standing headroom under
I bet I don't. I bet you don't. But I mean standing headroom underneath the... What am
I? I'm almost 5'7". I hit my head. Yeah that's my head. Lots of little under seat storage areas.
But these are kind of well designed. Like super simple to open. Yeah. Gas struts. Geez. Oh the
fire extinguisher and all your emergency gears in here. Ditch kit. PFDs. This boat has so much
space on deck. It really does. It's a great great Florida boat. All right shall we go? Let's do it.
So before I go down below and I take you guys with me, I just want to add that
this boat is truly exquisite. It is beautiful. It's in immaculate shape. It's huge.
Nobody needs this boat but it's awesome. So that's why we're touring it. Coming down below now.
Yeah this is a very nice very nice companion. You wanted to say your little disclaimer before
you came down and were ruined by the interior. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's very nice.
All right so when you come down there's like a landing platform and then you can go down
into the salon or down I assume where there are some berths. We haven't been in here before.
I did notice a funny little odd seat right there. Did you notice that? Yeah look at it. So let's
look back at the companionway. I just walked down this. See those stairs. This is actually a this is a
pretty good spot to sit on watch as well as over here. Yeah you have a nav station with you know
you've got view of forward. You've got view to the side. So you've got pretty good view of everything
here. So this is a very good protected area to stay on watch and you've got your instruments. It
looks like they kept some of the old electronics with them. They also added new electronics.
So all of the shading would help with keeping it cool in here because if you think about all
of these windows it would get hot in here I imagine. Yeah. So having the shades is nice.
Yeah over even with the hatches and everything. And the air conditioning is not on right now and
it's not too hot down here. I mean you can see we're probably we're starting to sweat a little
bit but it's not not too bad. The dodger and all the exterior cushions are down here.
Can't really see the table but it's all in really really good shape. The woodwork is just
just beautiful. You've got hull ports right there. TV. Heel set mast. Some sort of extra
compression post. Do you think electrical running through here? I believe they have to do
with tension or support for the deck. So I'm not 100% sure but yeah. A galley is like
I like a nook galley but it's almost a galley galley. A dual galley galley or a huge one of
the others. Yeah. But super cool. It's a really nice galley and I love the multi-level salon
deck salon because think about it. You could be on watch here. Someone else could be cooking
food down here and you're you're right next to each other. Near each other. Uh range gas range
it looks like. Uh gimbals. Refrigeration. Freezer freezer. Keurig. But this countertop is nice.
Yeah it is. Looks like it's solid surface. It's pouring air. This is an interesting idea. The
knives go through. Oh yeah. Below. AC system obviously and tons of storage everywhere.
I like this push button. There's a vent over the range so that's you don't. That's smart. Yeah
typically you just see like an opening port over the range but they have a true vent right there.
So here's another. This looks like a fridge or maybe ice maker. Ice maker. Yeah ice maker. What
is this right here? Is there a computer right there? I thought so but no it's um it's actually
a bar. Oh okay. They probably use that wireless keyboard for the for the tv and maybe use that
as a monitor. Ready to go forward? Yes but I'm also noticing all of the floorboards come up
which is nice if you're ever having to like hunt something down. We'll take a look at those in a
little bit. Yeah all right. Port? Starboard? Up to you. All right so we've got two cute little
bunks if you've got children with you or maybe some short-term guests. The top one seems bigger
than the bottom one. Um we have this must have a sump under it. The shower. You see how it steps up?
We've got a full head with a head sink and shower. Nice wet head and everything is truly set up
to get wet. There's no wood in here which is nice. So turn it around.
They have their own uh hanging locker in there. Yeah controls.
All right now going forward starboard. This is more of like it's not a single berth. Is this
considered a double berth? Yeah it's a double Pullman. It's a pretty good double Pullman style.
It also looks like actually it looks like well no it's got padding but they're back there so it
can kind of be a lounge area you know just another area to lounge around which is nice.
And then drawer bridge here. Then it's all full head. Now this one has a nice separate shower
with a seat and everything. Separate shower. Nice head. There's me.
Going aft again. So we're back in the salon with the galley on the port side. Going back up and
and actually should we look at the engine or continue on? I'll look at the engine last. Okay.
So the engine the engine's actually going to be down there but we'll look at that at the end.
One thing I notice is this fiddle right here that's on all the cabinets. If you look there
it's you can really grab a hold of it. You can get your fingers under there which is nice. It's a
good handhold in and of itself. All right so now we have another head that has a shower hook up
in it again. Oh there's actually a couple bits of wood in here but it's pretty well set up for
being a shower. Yeah so this is kind of a guest head really or this is your day head I would say.
So there's a couple more bunks in here but it seems like they mostly use this as a storage room.
There's a hanging locker and storage as well in here.
I noticed this flat panel had like some sort of latches so I kind of wanted to see what was
tucked away in here. Oh okay generator. It's really dark. We got a generator.
If you know what that is let us know in the comments. That's going to be refrigeration.
I don't know what that is and that looks like it is a water maker.
They have a global charger. Yeah sound proofing. This door is well padded here
for sound protection which is nice. Going aft again. We've got the bunks that we looked at
and the hidden generator room. And the DC panel and AC panel. And the master suite holy cow.
Wow. Yeah. Wow you've got a full-fledged desk right there. TV, sofa, settee.
There's the aft companionway. That's really nice it comes right down into your suite.
And basically you go up and you turn into the cockpit. Very very cool and just big queen this
might even be a king size bed. Huge oh huge lockers and a safe. Everything's in incredible
condition. All of the woodwork looks great. I haven't seen like normally we point out if we
see an imperfection although it is curious could just be a personal preference. There's carpet
down in here. I think that's a personal preference. Most likely especially like waking up in the
cold floors I get it. So probably just a personal preference because I haven't seen anything where
I'm like oh right here there's some damage. This is amazing. This is the ensuite here.
Yeah so nice separate standing shower with the seat head. Massive sink area with tons of storage
for everything you could possibly need. Take a look in there for you guys. Big big shower.
This is a very very very livable boat. I think that's obvious though. So all the floor panels
open up. Yep you got access down there. And it's literally every one other than okay these steps
don't but every other. Yeah this right here so just to give you guys some orientation here we
are again in the deck salon. On the landing platform. On the landing platform here. Now
Randy can you open that up? This is your engine access. So you have a Perkins diesel down there
and you have enough room to get down in there and start working on it if you need to. So
pretty good and then as you can tell sound installation everywhere. All right guys I'm
going to do a full continuous walk through like I normally do at the end of the boat tours and
yeah let's just get started. So I'm in the saloon and I'm looking forward. I'm going to go
into the starboard cabin first. So you got your two bunks and I said starboard but I meant port.
You got your wet head right here. So backing out I'm going into the actual starboard cabin. This
one's bigger. Has a bigger berth right there. Has a tv and a bigger head with a separate shower.
Let's turn around. We are currently looking at the saloon. The galley. Here's your saloon table.
Kind of covered with cushions but no big deal. Galley. Deck salon area. Randy. Got your companion
way. You've got your very very very nice secondary helm station or nav station. This is where you're
going to basically spend your passage. Down below a little more you've got your day head.
You've got your panels. Your generators in there. You've got more bunks and then finally
you've got the massive massive aft cabin and the en suite with the very large very exquisite
luxurious bathroom or you might want to call it a head. We want to go ahead and tell you what we
thought about the boat but before we do that we want to give a big shout out to The Ridge for
sponsoring this video. As you guys know sponsorships really help us out and help us keep videos coming
for you. So Randy and I got our own wallets in the mail recently and we already love them. They're
minimalist in design, RFID blocking, and lifetime guarantee. We also like that they come in either
aluminum carbon fiber or titanium and they come in a variety of colors as well. We like to promote
products that are high quality and long lasting because that's better for the environment and
better for your wallet in the long run. I mean if they last a lifetime it's just better all around.
Anyways if you're interested in donating your old cumbersome wallet in favor of something a
little more minimalistic you can find a link for The Ridge in our video description below.
And be sure to use the offer code LINES for 10% off Ridge products. So now that we've got that out
of the way what did you think about the boat? I love this boat. I think it was one of the best
boats we've toured so far. It really was in immaculate condition. There wasn't any little
like flaws in the woodwork, any rot that we saw. I mean it was in excellent condition and just
super livable and laid out extremely well. It was a definite passage maker. I mean it's just
you could cross an ocean on that thing in comfort and style. My one caveat and actually you see me
stumble in one part of the video. I personally don't like those choppy multi-level layouts
because I am a clumsy person. So I could see myself tumbling down any of those sets of stairs.
So that's one thing. Yeah in rough seas I could see that being a slight issue.
But other than that yes the layout is very nice. Obviously it's a huge boat you know it's
way more than any couple like us would need. Yeah. In our personal opinion you know maybe
if you had a family of 10 it might be the right size boat. Four single bunks then there's a double
berth and then the master suite. Yeah. So yeah that's a lot of sleeping area. And there's convertible
I bet the salon table converts. Oh I bet yeah. It was so covered over there we didn't really get to
see but I'm sure you're right that the dining area probably converts. Yeah. It would probably
be a good charter boat. Yeah. For groups of people. This boat has a lot of possibilities and
I would compare it to the Privileged Catamaran that we you know that we toured. As far as like
living space and berth. Yes. Yeah I'd definitely say that those are comparable. It's very similar
to that. It's it's a lot cheaper in comparison. Yeah that is a big difference and then it's like
are you a monohull person or a catamaran person because obviously that side of the boat is very
different. You're comparing kind of like apples to oranges but as far as like the living space.
Yes. They're comparable. If I had to nitpick like you were kind of talking about the steps you know
you didn't really like the steps. If I had to nitpick this boat I'd probably mention that you
know access to the engine probably wasn't as good as I would have expected for this size of boat.
It was a little cramped. We didn't really explore though because all of the floorboards opened up.
I wonder if we could have lifted more things out of the way. Maybe but I doubt it. I do want to
like praise them though because the the equipment room for the generator. So nice. That was amazing
like how many how many equipment rooms can you fully walk in with like six foot five or whatever
it was standing headroom. I don't know if you guys can tell but I'm sick today so I'm I'm really
trying to I'm really trying to press on but I apologize for the rasp in my voice. We haven't
mentioned it yet but this is actually another AMI Kids boat. So this boat has been donated to AMI
to help them raise money for their work. So the proceeds from the boat sale actually go to charity
and if you're interested in checking out what AMI Kids does there's going to be a link to them in
the description below. The broker's information for this boat will also be in the video description.
As well as the asking price. Last but not least we wanted to let you guys know that we will actually
be in Annapolis for the Annapolis sailboat show coming up this weekend. It's gonna be fun. Yeah
we're really excited to be there. We'll be there for at least three of the days of the show so
hopefully we'll see some of you there. We're probably gonna be walking around the show Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday so if you see us be sure to say hi. We'd love to see you guys and meet you
guys. On Saturday we'll be hanging out with our friends at the Battle Born booth from 12 to 2 so
that would be another great time for you to say hey. As always guys if you enjoyed this video
make sure you leave a like and a comment down below. If you haven't already hit that subscribe
