Hi guys! Bonjour à tous! This is Romy. Welcome back to my channel.
After last week's tutorial on the pillowcase, we had some fabric leftovers and we are going to make
this relaxing eye bag. Ok, c'est parti! So first we need of course to iron the fabric
and then we are going to measure and cut a big rectangle. You are going to see on the screen
the measurements. They are bigger than the one I used because when I finished my project,
I thought this relaxing bag could be slightly bigger. So there we go. Alright, when this is
done, we are going to hem both sides, the small sides. So we turn the fabric once and then a second
time and pin it. We are going to do straight stitches with a sewing machine. Here is the
first side, then going to the second side and when this is done, we are going to quickly iron that.
There we go. Check! Now that it is done, we are going to do some tags with the fabric. I don't
know if you remember the project that we did, the small lavender bags. I did that as well,
so you can go back to this tutorial. It's in the link below. As you can see, I am using a stamp
with ink for fabric and I am writing the word relax, but you can write whatever you fancy.
You can put the name of your children or your friends or your parents. It makes really nice
gifts. And you know, it is almost Christmas, so this is really a nice gift to give. It's very
quick and easy to make. Just go for it! All right, the tags are almost done. We are going to iron them
and then we are going back to our main fabric. So on the right side, we are going to put two marks.
So the first in the right side is at 9 centimeters and on the left at 15 centimeters and then we are
going to fold the fabric according to the marks of course and we are going to place the tag inside
like a little sandwich. There we go. I am just going to pin that in place and then on both sides
we are going to do a row of straight stitches at about five millimeters from the edge. First row
and then second row and I'm also going to do a little zigzag stitch to finish it off.
Let's turn the bag. Make sure to also turn the corners properly. You can help yourself
with scissors and try not to cut the fabric.
And when this is done, what are we going to do? We are going to iron it because ironing makes perfect.
All right, so the cover of your relaxing eye bag is done. Now we need to do a little pocket to insert
the rice and the lavender. So we cut this rectangle, fold it right sides together,
stitch it on both sides. So the third side we'll leave it open of course. There we go, second side.
Then we're turning the pocket inside out and then just a bit of rice, a bit of lavender, mix it up
together and fill in the little bag. Not too much otherwise it's not going to be very comfortable
on your face and you won't be able to relax properly. A few invisible hand stitches or if
you feel lazy you can just go ahead and make a quick sew with your sewing machine. It's going
to be inside the cover anyway so you do as you wish. And then we are going to insert the bag
inside its cover. Voila! And then turning back like a little hood, the right side.
Perfect! It is finished. If you have never tried a relaxing eye bag, wow! I highly recommend you do
so. As you see it's very easy, very quick and very fun and it makes great gifts. All right,
this tutorial is finished. C'est terminé. Please subscribe to my channel, follow me on instagram
