Hi guys, welcome back to my channel. As you can tell by the title of today's video I'm going to
be sharing what's in my hospital bag for myself and for baby boy who's going to be making his
appearance so so soon. I think I'm packing a little early but my daughter came two weeks early
and I was not prepared at all and so this time around I promised myself I would pack earlier
rather than later so I am currently 33 and a half weeks pregnant and like I said my daughter
came at 38 weeks. Who knows when baby boy will come? Really crossing my fingers for 38 weeks
but anyways this is one step closer to preparing for his arrival so I'm going to show everything
that I have packed. I don't feel like I over packed because I have done this before but you
guys can be the judge of that. Anyways without further ado let's go ahead and get started. I'm
going to share what is in, oh my gosh this is heavy, I'm going to share what's in my bag first.
So first of all let me just start with why is this so heavy? Okay this is the travel bag by
Luli BB and I've had this for a while. I've been using this for like weekend trips and stuff like
that but I love it and I knew I'd be using this for my hospital bag. There's so many pockets on
this thing first of all and there's a long strap right here. I don't have anything in these outside
pockets or this pocket right here either. I also have the Luli BB diaper bag as well. This is going
to be baby boy's bag for the hospital so we'll go through that in a second but they match which
I love. It's the little things. Okay so let's open this. Also I haven't washed anything yet.
I thought that I would just pack it and share this video with you guys and then unpack it and
wash everything and then repack it. So when you open it there's these little like pockets right
here. Here's like what the inside looks like. I'll go through this first. So I have a little snack bag
packed. After you give birth you are starving at least I was and most women I talked to were.
I was so hungry and depending on the time of day that you have your baby it might be hard
to get to like the cafeteria. For example if you have your baby at two in the morning
the cafeteria is probably closed so your choices are vending machines or having your husband run
out to get fast food or something like that if fast food is even open. So I wanted to just make
sure I have some snacks on hand that are healthy and going to give me energy. I feel like I'm going
to add to this snack bag maybe grab like some granola bars or something but in here I just have
some power up trail mix. This one is a power up antioxidant mix and there's like chocolate in it
which I love like having a little bit of sweetness with my trail mix and then these
are the second nature wholesome medley. Again nuts, dried cherries, chocolate, that kind of thing.
So I have a bag full of these and I just realized I forgot I was going to grab
some of these snacks from my little diaper cart to put in there. Hold on. Okay I have a little
diaper station over there I did in a previous video but I forgot I was going to add these
into my bag as well. These are the booby bars and they're supposed to help with your milk supply
and then these are little lactation cookie bites and these are I don't know people say they're
really good but they're full of sugar but whatever. They're chocolate chip cookies like what do you
expect? So we're going to add to the snack bag. Okay in this next zipper I have a
phone charger. So this is a six foot phone charger. This is an apple phone charger so it's like the
lightning one so it charges your phone really fast. I just bought this off of Amazon. I know you
can get like 10 foot chargers and all of that but I prefer the lightning ones because it seriously
charges things super super super fast. And then I have a water cup. This is my yeti. This is what
I was going to take but I don't like the fact that the straw is not covered so I did just buy
a stanley water bottle where like the the straw flips down. I don't know why but just having like
my straw out in the open at the hospital I'm just I don't I don't like that so I want to have the
straw covered and I feel like the stanley one's going to be perfect. So I bought that off of Amazon.
It should come in tomorrow. I'll post a picture of the one that I got right here. So I'm actually
going to swap this one out. Next I have these freedom mom instant cold therapy and absorbent
pads. So basically you like flip it in half. Yeah fold it in half until you hear a popping sound.
Shake tightly and it creates a cooling sensation. I have four of these. I got the freedom mom
postpartum kit I think is what it was called and these came in it. So I'm taking two to the hospital
with me. The hospital provides a lot but as far as I remember something like this they don't have.
So I definitely want to take these with me. I do want to say the last time I gave birth was almost
six years ago so I know things have definitely changed but the hospital provides you, at least
minded, with so much postpartum care. They have the mesh undies, they have the giant pads, they
have the dermaplast, they have like so much more. I think they had tux pads for me as well. So I'm
really not bringing any of that however I do have these. These are just the like disposable diapers,
basically disposable underwear. I'm bringing two of them just because like if I don't want to wear
the mesh undies that the hospital provides at least I'll have this as an option. And then I'm
bringing one pair of the Frida disposable underwear boy shorts as well which I've heard really good
things about. So again these came in my Frida mom postpartum care kit. I have four pairs of them. I'm
leaving three for my house and then I'm going to take one pair and then two of these to the hospital.
Like I said this isn't necessary but having the option of wearing these instead of the mesh undies
I might want. Inside this bag by the way there's a zipper pocket right here. There are one, two,
three, four different compartments on the side. So that's what I'm going through first. Oh over here
I did not pack these. That is so funny. These must have been from a long time ago because there's a
tampon which I haven't used for almost nine months and some random pads. Who knew those were in there?
I definitely do not need tampons after you give birth. That's funny. Okay and then on this side
pocket I have a laundry bag. So this is a pretty small bag but any like dirty bras or underwear or
anything like that I'm going to put in here. And then next I have a little cosmetic bag. I bought
this off of Amazon and I love it. This is the light pink color I think. I think that's what I got
but it comes in a couple different colors. There's a ton of pockets, a ton of storage. I'm definitely
not utilizing it all but right here I have a hairbrush that is gross. And then when you open
the main part, watch this, it will hang completely for you and there's this little bag as well.
So I feel like this is going to be super nice to have at the hospital. I 100% will be showering.
I showered with my daughter and it truly was the best thing. I'm not entirely sure if I'll do like
a full wash of my hair but I will 100% be showering. Anyways I did go ahead and get travel
sides of everything just so I don't have to pack it last minute. I feel like it's just going to make
things a lot easier in the end and if I don't use them at the hospital I'll use them sometime when
we travel because we're traveling for the holidays as well. But I have a travel toothbrush, toothpaste,
I have a small native deodorant, I have some gimme beauty bands. These are my favorite hair ties by
the way. In this pocket I have, this is a little mirror. This mirror is by Vanity Planet but it
opens up just like this and it can like rest on a tray or something like that and what's really
cool is it has a built-in light that you can change tones and I feel like this will just be really
nice if I want to take off my makeup and have like a little mirror or if I want to put on makeup I'll
have something where I don't have to actually like go to the bathroom and do that. And then in this
pocket I also have some Lansino nipple cream and then I have some Flamingo just all over body
lotion. In this pocket I have a Dove body wash, I have some Monday shampoo and conditioner,
and then I have a hand sanitizer as well. And then down here I have makeup remover wipes,
a lip balm, this is a travel size of moisturizer, and then some face wash. Obviously I can't pack
my makeup yet so as we get a little bit closer to potential delivery I'm just gonna put things
that I use on a daily basis in a little makeup bag and then just use them and put them back so
it's really easy just to grab that last minute. I have no idea if I'm gonna wear makeup at the
hospital but I want to have it just in case I want to wear it. Something that's making this
bag so heavy is probably body armor. I wanted to put two of these in my bag because apparently
this is a really good for your milk coming in. I get the body armor light just so it's more sugar
free. These are really good they just have a lot of natural flavors which natural flavors really
are not good for you but these are made with coconut water and coconut water is really good
for milk supply and I'm all about boosting milk supply so I will be bringing two of these to the
hospital just to have as something other than just plain water. Okay and then next I have this little
shoe bag. I'm planning on using these to shower in. These are like the cloud sandals from Amazon.
They're very popular, very highly rated, and very comfy so I wanted to get these. I don't know if
I'm gonna wear them like in the hospital. I don't know if I'm just gonna wear them in the shower.
I'm not entirely sure but these will be awesome shower shoes and like I said I plan on showering
so I definitely wanted to have those and then I have a little travel bag for them because just
like the idea of them being in the hospital shower and being in my bag grosses me out so
at least they have their own space. Okay next I have two packing cubes of clothing and like
postpartum essentials. So in this first one it's more like undergarments, socks, nursing
bras, that kind of thing. I have two pairs of socks in here. These are just fuzzy socks from Target.
They don't have the grips on the bottom. That's like my only thing I don't like about them but
they're really soft and I like the colors. I have a belly band. I don't know if I'm gonna use it at
the hospital but I want to have the option too just in case I want to. The reason I love these
is because after you give birth you just feel so like soft and jiggly and like your organs are
everywhere and I don't like that feeling at all. I want to feel like secured and so that's where
this comes in and I can wear this underneath whatever like any of my like comfy clothing that
I'm bringing. So I wanted to bring this with me. It's called the Belly Bandit. I got it off of
Amazon. I feel like after you give birth women either like to be secure and wearing like tight
fitted clothing on their belly or they just want to be like completely like comfortable loose fitting
clothing all of that. So I don't know how I'm gonna be. I feel like I'll want to feel more secure but
I could be wrong. With my daughter I definitely wanted to feel more secure so I'm just going based
off of that. In here I also have two nursing bras, two different styles. So this one's very
comfortable. It's from Target and the brand is Auden and it's just like a really soft material.
This just pops open so you can breastfeed really easily and then this one is also from Target
and it's by the brand Auden as well but it's like more of your traditional nursing style bra
and I feel like this will be definitely more supportive. I don't know what I'll want to wear
so I'm bringing two different styles but this top just pops open and then you can easily breastfeed
just like traditional ones. And then I am also bringing a robe from Pink Blush Maternity. This
is a very lightweight soft robe. There's like a crochet knitting around it. The postpartum sweats
are no joke and I'm kind of just planning on mainly being in my robe at the hospital after I
shower. I didn't get a fancy nursing gown. I didn't do anything like that. I plan on just like using
what they have and getting it all dirty and then just like letting it go and changing into my nice
comfy robe after I take a shower. But here's what it looks like. It's like an oatmeal color. This
comes in a couple of different colors as well. And then I'm not quite sure if I'm gonna wear these or
just stick with the disposable underwear. I'm not entirely sure but I'm bringing two
postpartum undies. One of these is from Ingrid and Isabelle and look how high that comes up.
Like I love that. I think I'm gonna like this after I give birth but if I have to have like an
emergency c-section or something like that this is probably not gonna work. But I'm gonna bring
them just in case. I feel like I should probably get some just like regular granny panty style of
underwear too. I don't know. These are from Blanqui and these don't go up quite as high and they're a
boy short material. But I think these are gonna be really comfortable for after I give birth. But
again I don't know if I'm gonna wear these at the hospital or just stick to the disposable.
Okay and then in my last packing cube. I think these are the last things actually. This is going
to be my coming home outfit. Our hospital is very close to us. I think we're like 15 minutes away
and I just wanted to be comfortable. So I found this little set at Target and I got a size large
in both of them. But it's this long sleeve really soft lightweight gray top and these gray comfy
stretchy shorts. My baby's due November 2nd but even in November it's still very hot here in
Arizona where we live. So shorts are still gonna be a necessity and also again I'm kind of hoping
he comes a little early like my daughter did. Which would put us in October and October is still
very very hot. Okay and then the other thing I have in this packing cube is a set of pajamas.
These are the Stars Above pajamas from Target. Again very soft. These are a very popular item
in the postpartum world from what I've noticed. I feel like moms rave about these and I get why
because this unbuttons. It's really easy to nurse. They're really comfortable. These come in a gown
as well but I have the short set. I just feel like I'm gonna want shorts. Anyways that is everything
I have packed for myself. I'm gonna go through my list of last minute items to grab with you guys
though next because I do have a list on my phone that when I go into labor I'm just gonna go through
and check it off and make sure we have grabbed everything on that list so I don't forget. Okay
so before I share what's in baby boy's bag the last minute things I am gonna want to grab is my
I will be doing a sister gift from baby Ben to Scarlett my daughter and I want to make sure we
have that with us as well so he he can gift that sister gift to Scarlett. I feel like that's always
such a fun little thing that you can do with your kids when a new sibling is introduced. We'll be
using the Duna car seat stroller so we'll need to grab that. I'll need to grab my makeup, a blanket
which I'm just gonna grab a blanket for my couch, my insurance card which is actually on my phone,
and then also the nursing pillow which is right here. This is the Snuggle Me Organics nursing
pillow with a cover over it and I do plan on taking this to the hospital. A couple things that
I know women like to bring that I just I don't think I'm gonna need but change my mind if I'm
wrong and those are a pillow like an actual pillow like for my bed or something. I don't it's like
the idea of bringing my own pillow grosses me out so I'm not bringing a pillow but change my mind
if I'm wrong. And then another thing is a bath towel. Again I just I don't think I need it. I'm
trying to like think of things that I really need and a bath towel I just don't think is one of them.
I'll just use the hospitals. Anyways let's get into the fun bag. The baby bags are always like
the most fun in my opinion. So this again is the Lily Bebe diaper bag. I use this brand with my
daughter. It's truly such a great diaper bag. It is a backpack which backpacks aren't the only way
to go when you're getting a diaper bag in my opinion and there's just so many pockets. There's
side pockets here that fit bottles very easily. There's a front pocket here and there's literally
like a million pockets inside. There's stroller straps on the side right here as well and I do
have a itsy bitsy little like pacifier clip right here with two pacifiers in here and a little clip
as well. This is the Ryan and Rose pacifier. I also wanted to bring a like natural rubber
pacifier as well. This is by Briggs. Brigg. Brigg. I don't know. I have no idea if those are even good
pacifiers for newborns. My daughter did not take a pacifier at all. Also I know there's like nipple
confusion that can happen and some say to like wait to introduce a pacifier. I don't think we're
to our son this time and we did it with our daughter at first and I feel like that's kind
of like where we went wrong. Okay anyways when you open up the diaper bag here's what it looks
like. There's a big fuzzy blanket in here. This is by Cerenoni and I had one of these for my
daughter and so I was so excited to get one for a baby boy and it's just so soft and snuggly and I
cannot wait to snuggle him in this. Okay here's a better look at the inside. Actually they're
again it's big pockets just like this bag. One, two, three, four big pockets and a zipper pocket
right here. Very first thing I have in here is his name sign which we have announced so I can
show you guys. We're naming our son Benjamin Ray and I think this is going to be so cute to like
put in the like hospital bassinet and take a little picture of him for his announcement photos.
I have a few outfits in here for him. This is either going to be coming home outfit or his
announcement photo outfit. So it's this little button-up set from Lulu and Company and it's just
so soft and cuddly and snuggly and there's like feet attached which is nice so he won't have to
wear socks or anything. I also have a little matching bonnet for this outfit and babies and
bonnets are quite possibly the cutest thing in the entire world. This is outfit option number two
and it's like this little waffle knit onesie, sleeper, whatever you want to call it. It's from
Spearmint Baby and I have a little matching knotted hat to go with it and then I'm bringing
two different onesies. This one says baby brother and Scarlett has a shirt that says big sister so
I thought when she meets him for the first time he could be wearing this and she could be wearing
her big sister shirt but I got this off of Etsy and then this is just a plain onesie from my
friend's shop Forever Fringe Baby but it's a bamboo material so it's so soft and comfy so I'm
gonna bring that. I'm bringing one extra sleeper just in case we need it and it's this really
pretty blue color and I'm just assuming our son's gonna have blue eyes even though when they're born
you don't know what color their eyes are gonna be but just based off of my family he's probably
gonna be blonde hair and blue eyed so I just imagine this color is gonna look so nice on him
but these are great. It has the flips over the hand right there and then the flips over the feet
right there so his little feet and hands would stay nice and warm and then I have a stretchy
swaddle just like one of those like really stretchy swaddles. This actually matches the
button-up set so this like all goes together and then I'm bringing this swaddle blanket as well
from Amazon. It's by Mushy and it's just like a muslin swaddle and I'll probably use this for the
announcement photo as well. This diaper bag comes with like a changing pad so that's just in the
bottom here and then I'm gonna go through the side pockets now. So in the first one I do have
three diapers. I know the hospital provides you with diapers and wipes and like nipple cream and
diaper rash cream and all of those things so you definitely don't need them but there's no reason
not to just throw a couple in here so I have three diapers in here and then I also have a pack of
water wipes. This is in an itsy bitsy dispenser and then yeah there's water wipes in there.
The first baby poops are always in the meconium. It's always so sticky and the water wipes are
really wet compared to like pampers or huggies or whatever your hospital uses so I wanted to bring
our own wipes for that reason. The next pocket I have just a burp cloth. This is a muslin mushy cloth
and then I also have a portable sound machine and the charger as well. I just bought this off of
amazon and I like to sleep with a white noise or like a fan or something and so I'm gonna use this
but also we're gonna use it for the baby as well. Okay but anyways that is everything so let me know
down in the comments what do you think? Did I overpack? Did I under pack? Is it just right? Do
you think I have everything I'm gonna need? Is there something I'm missing? Is there something
