Oh my god, I'm shaking!
Good morning. It is 5 30 in the morning. I'm in my kitchen about ready to take a pregnancy test.
I already know it's gonna be positive. We are pregnant. We're pregnant. It's like really weird
to say that and sorry I'm being so quiet because um Ty is still sleeping and Scarlett's still
but we are pregnant like legitly pregnant like positive pregnancy test pregnant. Today's our
beta blood draw to make sure like things are where they should be so I am like slightly nervous for
that and I feel like it'll feel more real after we have our hcg draw. That's what the beta blood
test is. They test your hcg levels to make sure they are where they should be and then they will
determine that you are officially pregnant. So if you're new here, by the way, we just did a
frozen embryo transfer. I've been sharing our entire infertility journey through my youtube
channel so I'll link some of those videos down below. We got our first positive test five days
ago so if I don't seem like overly excited right now it's because I've like we've known for five
days. We've known for a couple of days um and I just woke up like I said it's 5 30 in the morning
but um we found out five days ago four days past our transfer which is crazy but we tested last
Saturday at four days past the transfer in the evening and we got the faintest faintest faintest
line. It is barely there but I think even the camera is picking this up. I think you can even
see this from the camera. It's a lot darker than it was around noon today. This you can barely see.
You might be able to see that but just a couple hours difference. It's definitely darker.
It's definitely there. This is the closest we've ever ever gotten to pregnancy since scarlet.
I've been testing every morning and every evening since which I'll go show you guys um the like the
progression line and things look like they're going exactly how they should. The line's getting
darker. I'm like confident that this is going to be a very dark line so I'm going to take this
pregnancy test with you guys but we're pregnant and it just feels so surreal to say that. Anyways
let's do this. I have like a towel wrapped around my cup because you guys don't need to see my pee.
We've been testing on the first response test and that's how we got our super super faint positive
I think um so we got our super faint positive on our first response test on
Saturday and I think on Monday. I'll have to go back and look. Um yeah on Monday we did our
like digital clear blue and it said pregnant. Now we wait. I've never like confidently taken a
pregnancy test like this before on the internet. Well we are definitely definitely pregnant. This
probably the darkest test we've gotten yet and it's still getting darker. Oh my gosh I cannot
believe I'm even like filming this video right now. It seems so surreal. Okay here is my pregnancy
test progression. I know it's a little extra but you know it is what it is. These are all dried now.
This was four days past transfer. You can see the line. You can see it better on the pm1 though and
then it definitely got darker the fifth day but the evening one I think was a little diluted.
Um and here's day six in the morning and day seven and day eight definitely getting darker
8 in the pm and then this was this morning's test which is the darkest of them all and then this is
so awesome. This is what I got on six days past transfer in the morning. So it's nice to be able
to read the words. Okay I'm off to my beta blood test. It is almost eight o'clock. My appointment's
at eight o'clock and I am running a little late. Got caught in some pretty bad traffic. Kai is
taking Scarlett to school so he was gonna get her to school. I drove up to our fertility clinic
and yeah I'm like not that nervous. I feel very confident. I don't know what it is. I
feel very confident in this pregnancy. Something about it just feels right and so that alone is
putting my nerves at ease and I don't know how to explain it. I don't know how to put words to it.
I feel like there's so many times through infertility that I have just protected my
emotions and prepared for the worst but I truly feel like this pregnancy is meant to be and I
truly feel like this is going to work and everything is going to be okay. I'm a little nervous but
more confident than nervous so that's how I'm feeling. We are nine days past a five day transfer.
That means we're nine days past our frozen embryo transfer and the embryo that we transferred
was a five day old embryo. We also did do the PGT testing so we know like it's genetically,
sorry the sun, we know like the embryo is genetically normal but I am just pulling up.
I'm gonna go do my my blood work. It should be really fast. I'm a little nervous because
I as soon as I get out of this I need to like literally rush back home because we do my
progesterone injection at 9 a.m. and it's 8 a.m. here and I have like a 30-40 minute drive
home so I'm hoping I get in and out of this appointment so I can make it home
so Ty can give me my injection. We will not know test results right away. They call us this
afternoon too. Anyways, I've got to pee. I've been chugging water trying to stay hydrated
so I'm gonna go inside use the bathroom and do my blood test. I just got home just in time to
do our progesterone injection. I'm drawing it up right now. I got in and out of our clinic
super fast for the blood test. Let's use that needle. No, it's the big draw needle.
It would leave a hole. We're almost out of this one. I know. I am too. I was gonna say my HCG level
I think should be around or should be at least over 100 today. Is that what they said? No,
but like based off of my own research. I don't know if there's enough left in here for a dose.
So that's what we're hoping for. We'll get a phone call later this afternoon but we're gonna go take
this injection. I'm gonna be a big sister. We're having a baby. We're having a baby. We're having
a baby. It's official. The doctor called of course while I was at the gym. We were both at the gym
and our first beta was 185 which is a great number. Yeah, as soon as you told me I was in the gym
looking it up. I knew you would. Yeah, so we go back in on Monday to make sure. Well by then
it's like four days. Today's Thursday. That'll be Monday. So does it still double every two days?
It doubles every two days so it should be quadrupled. It should be high. Yeah,
yeah. Because Monday will be 10, 11, 12. That'll be 13 days. So yeah, great news. Yeah,
we are officially pregnant but I already knew. I already knew we were. I could tell.
Call it mother's intuition. I knew. Scarlett is beyond excited if you can't tell. Good morning.
It is Monday. I am officially, what is it, 13 days past a five-day transfer and we are on our way to
the second beta. So the second blood draw to see if my hCG is doubling and by this time because
it's been four days since our last blood draw it should be quadrupled. So I think it should be over
740 or something like that. Anyways, if I look tired it's because I am. I'm very tired. We had
last night was a rough night. Scarlett has a cough and it just, she has like a night cough.
She doesn't really have a cough during the day. It's just at night and it's so bad. It keeps her
up and literally at three in the morning I went to check on her and she's in her room. All the
lights are on. She's watching like her iPad and she's writing in her notebook and I'm like what
are we doing here? Why are we not in bed? So right now if I get woken up in the middle of night I
have trouble going back to sleep. So I was probably in and out of sleep from 2 30 to 6 30 which is
when my alarm went off. So it's been a rough night but other than that everything's going really good.
I'm still testing on pregnancy tests daily and they're still super strong positives. I feel
very confident about this pregnancy so I'm excited to get some reassurance and it's always nice to
have somebody else tell you you're pregnant. Not just, you know, it's nice to have somebody else
reassure you like a doctor. So yeah we are rushing to our appointment. Like it's just been a crazy
crazy morning. Not only do we have to get to this appointment, we have a new product launching at
our business Lollipo at the same time as the appointment and then on top of that my appointment
is at nine and that's the same time we do our injection. So I have my progesterone injection
right here and it's already like drawn up and everything and Ty is gonna have to give it to me
right before we go into my appointment. We are about to do this injection in the car and we're
like driving around trying to find like a secluded place because I don't know I'm just like I don't
want people to see what we're doing. We were gonna get out of the car and I was gonna stand up but
Ty was like why don't you just lay back in the in the car. So we're gonna attempt this.
There's literally like three cars driving. They're gonna think we're doing heroin but we're really
really really just trying to have a baby. There's a gardener over there just raking.
All right I'm gonna do it fast. Okay. One, two, three. Better? No that's fine. Things you do for love
and children. Okay first first task done for 9 a.m. Now we just well we got Scarlett to school.
We got Scarlett to school. Oh man. Got the shot taken. Our launch is at 9 a.m. also. That's the
same time. Well it's already live. I know we're launching at 9 but we just had to set our product
live before before we left. Yeah just it's just a morning just a busy morning. So we have like 10
minutes until my appointment. Blood work is done from our second beta and now we wait for the phone
call. Ty is running an errand and I'm sitting in the car waiting for him. We just got out of our
beta. I want to give you guys like a quick um like I don't know update about how I'm feeling and
how things are going. Everything's going really good. I'm honestly feeling
totally normal. I still have like three major symptoms. I feel pregnant like I feel
heavier in my uterus. I feel full in my uterus if that makes sense. It's a different kind of feeling
and um I am still freezing all the time even when I shouldn't be and also when I get hungry which is
more frequently I feel like I need to eat right then and there. But yeah so far so good. I really
have no idea how pregnant I am. I don't really understand how it works. We are 13 days past a
five-day transfer. I think I'm a little over four weeks pregnant from the calculations but I'm not
entirely sure. I think our due date will be the first week of November but again I don't have that
information and I'm not entirely sure and I don't think I will really know until I meet with our
doctor. But yes I just wanted to give a quick update. I am still like in denial that we are
pregnant. It's so weird to say. We've definitely been processing all of this and we didn't want to
share the news or anything like on social media or um with some of our family until we did our beta
blood test and now we're just waiting for our second beta and then we will finally be able to
announce. I'm honestly just so grateful for science and for our doctor. It hasn't really hit me yet.
It doesn't really feel real that we are pregnant. I am just so beyond grateful and Scarlett's so
excited. She talks about the baby every single day and I I can't believe I can't believe we
beat infertility. If you are trying to get pregnant, if you're going through infertility,
if you're in the middle of IVF, hang in there. It is such a long long road, such a long journey,
an emotional journey and um it was one of the hardest things we've ever been through as a
couple and emotionally personally like it's just been a lot but um it you know it truly is worth
it. I can't believe our time is now and our time has come so just feeling extra extra grateful.
Hi, this is Caitlin. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Doing well. We'll just cut right to it.
Your ACG rose beautifully. Yay, that's awesome. What was it? Uh so today you were 1653. Oh my
gosh, that's way higher than it was. Yes. Wow. Okay. Very good. Okay, that's awesome. Okay.
All good things. A couple of things. Continue all of your medications still exactly as you were.
Okay. So progesterone, estrogen, baby estrogen, prenatals, everything. Okay. Okay. And then we
want to see you next week for your first ultrasound. Oh my gosh, that's awesome. Okay.
Well schedule me whenever. We'll make it happen. I feel like I will be there. Yes.
Um I could do either Monday or Tuesday. Monday. Monday.
Um are you able to make 945? Yep. Sounds great. And he is allowed to come with. Okay. Wonderful.
Okay. Cool. Yay. Yay. Congrats. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We'll see you Monday.
Bye. Oh my god, I'm shaking. That's crazy. We're really pregnant.
So it's way higher than you thought, right? Okay, I've gotta like take a second.
So is there twins? Okay, the chance of that happening would be so slim. Just kidding.
I'm like shaking. My knees are shaking. Oh my god. Okay, hold on.
So what did you think it was going to be? 740. Was it quadruple? And it's 16?
1600. That's awesome. Why is it so high?
Okay, so that like I don't even I don't even know the math. That like
not even that's like way higher than we expected. That means this is this is going good. Things are
going good. Anyways, if you're wondering why we're all dressed up, we're going to dinner.
We're about ready to go to dinner and I'm glad we got that phone call right before
we left. I did like jump up and down. I cannot believe this worked. I cannot believe this worked.
I cannot believe we're having an ultrasound Monday. What the heck? Can we see a heartbeat
that early? I'm pregnant. Like what? I am pregnant. I am pregnant. Do I have a bloat belly?
I feel like I've been super bloated. When did you see our baby Monday? How many days since the
transfer? 13 days. How many? 13 days. It's pretty high. Yeah, that's freaking high. Why is it so high?
Did they actually transfer too? It split. I don't know. I'm totally speculating. There's no way.
The chances of our embryo splitting is super slim, but it would happen to us because we're
the ones who are like we only want one. Yeah. Why is it so high? Okay, well great news.
We are very pregnant and our first ultrasound Monday. I was not expecting us to have an
ultrasound that soon. Maybe that means because I don't think they do ultrasounds until you're
six weeks. Maybe I'm closer to five weeks. I don't know how this works. If you went through IVF,
do you guys know how pregnant I am? Leave it down in the comments because I would really
like to know. We transferred our five-day embryo 13 days ago. Okay, this is like...
What? Days past transfer. This is high for sure.
Well, I don't think... Like the average after 13, but it's all different depending on like
whether the embryo is frozen or not. Yeah, I don't think hsg, wait hcg. I get those mixed up. I don't
think hcg always indicates multiple pregnancies. No, I know. You know what I mean? Yeah, but that's
an indicator. Oh God. Indy, we're going to have a baby. Or several. Or several, like five.
You want to have another baby? Anyways, my mother-in-law is about to be here and she's
going to be watching Scarlet so we can go to dinner. We're going to meet some friends for
a birthday dinner. So that is why, again, we're all dressed up. But thank you guys for following
along with this video. I'm like so excited to share this video and I thought this was a video
that we were never going to be able to share and I'm just grateful that here we are. And
baby and I are just making their appearance this year. Finally 2022 is our year and it's been a
long, long road to get here. But thank you for watching. Can't wait for all the upcoming videos
and we will see you in our next one. Bye. Can you say bye?
