Hi! It's February. Feb. February. February. So there's this holiday this month, you know,
hearts and stuff, so I thought it was only appropriate that I start February with a video
about how my dogs show me that they love me. So, our furry little furbaby companions don't
speak our language, so they have to show us that they love us in other ways besides saying
I love you. Here are like five ways I know for sure that they love me. Number one, following
me around the house. Usually when we're just hanging around in the house somewhere, the
dogs are in the room with us because they just kind of want to be there in our space
hanging out with us. I think that means they kind of like us. Number two, bringing us their
favorite toys. Falcon and Phoenix each have their own favorite toy that they absolutely
love and they do not share with each other. I think it's so sweet that they come to us
and bring us their favorite toy and say, here is my favorite most prized possession, would
you like to play with me? I mean, they have to love me in order to trust me with their
favorite toy, right? Falcon's favorite toy is a hedgehog. She's on her fourth hedgehog
now and we got her a giant one for Christmas. Phoenix's favorite toy at the moment is a
squirrel butt. Yeah, you heard me right. It's not a squirrel, it's like the butt of
a squirrel with a tail and it's cut off at the torso and it doesn't have an upper body.
I don't know. Number three, sleeping in my room. Sometimes we'll be hanging out in the
house and we'll be like, where's Phoenix? And we look all over the place for her and
we find her in our bedroom sleeping on our bed. I like to think it means that she just
wants to be close to us and our bed is like our safe area. It's where we are the most
vulnerable so she makes that her safe area. Or maybe she thinks that she is on the same
pack level as us. Who knows? I like to think it means she loves us. Number four, yawning
when I yawn. So I tried this experiment with Phoenix where you yawn and you see if your
dog yawns as well as a result of you yawning. It's kind of supposed to show that they're
empathetic and they kind of get you and they feel you so they feel how tired you are when
you yawn and so they yawn as well. This happens with humans so I thought it would be cool
to try it with the dogs and Falcon doesn't give a crap if I yawn but Phoenix definitely
yawns when I yawn. I'll do it like, did you yawn just now? I'll do it like three or four
times and eventually she'll yawn as well. She loves me. She really loves me. And number
five, cuddles and kisses. Sometimes I think that my dogs are licking my face because I
just want to know what I ate recently but other times I'm pretty sure they're doing
it because they love me. The other thing that I think is really cute is when they both cuddle
up next to us or even just sit underneath my chair at the dining table. They just want
to be near us. I think that means they love us. I'm sure there's many other ways that
our dogs show us that they love us. Let me know in the comments section below how your
dogs show you that they love you. And happy February everybody! Thanks for watching. Make
