RAINBOW MOUNTAIN HELI-BIKING GIVEAWAY IN WHISTLER | Finn Iles

What's up guys, we're in the bike park right now.
I just won the A-Line DH race, pretty dope if I don't say so myself.
And right now we are actually riding around the Whistler Bike Park with 8 tickets for
a chance to win a heli drop up Rainbow Mountain just across the valley.
And Matt and I are going to give them away to passerby riders and go up for a heli drop
tomorrow.
It's going to be sick.
It's true, it's going to be very cool.
Right now we're at the top of Dirt Merchant, it's probably the hardest jump trail in Whistler.
Has some sick features and somebody's going to come down here and blow our minds, we're
certain of it.
So this is where we're going to start and I think we're going to find our first rider
here.
We're here at the Dirt Merchant hip, trying to give away our first ticket.
Woo!
You just genuinely boosted that hip really, really, really high.
Basically this is the deal, if you're free from 10am to worst case scenario 3pm, would
you like the boarding pass to come on a heli drop tomorrow?
He said he has work tomorrow, but he's calling somebody and I think he's going to get out
of it.
He might come down with the flu.
Let that phone call dude!
Yeah.
Come down with the flu or something.
Matt's really looking forward to getting this guy a ticket.
Yeah.
Alright, nice one.
Thanks buddy.
**** yeah.
Hang up.
Are you on?
I'm in.
Yes!
Sweet!
First man down.
So we've just gotten rid of the first ticket, looks like that.
Barney down there just did a sick table, sent it on the hip, and he's earned the first ticket.
And we've got 7 more to go, and we've got to go hand them out, but nobody is coming
through here.
It's absolutely empty, eh Matt?
Fully empty.
Nobody wants to ride at 6.36 after rain, so maybe we've got to go to A-Line or Easy Desert
or something like that.
More busy trail.
So right now we're at the A-Line 2-Pack, and Matt seems to think he's found the next guy.
Next ticket holder.
And apparently he's going to throw a big trick off there.
He said an Indian Air, but I don't know.
That seems pretty risky.
We'll see.
I mean, anything goes down for a heli ticket, right?
Yeah, that's a ticket!
That's a ticket!
That's the best ticket earned, deserved stunt we've seen.
A no foot count Indian Air is a slopestyle trick, and we're on a downhill track.
This is ticket number 3.
Matt just gave away ticket number 2, I'm giving away ticket number 3.
What's your name?
I'm Minty.
Minty.
Minty!
Oh!
Drop it in!
So right now we're at the bottom of A-Line.
We're actually at the very last jump, and we're trying to give away the last three tickets.
I think this is the perfect spot because you've got a good jump, and then a good place to
stop somebody.
And it's fitting because I ended my day racing here, and we're going to end our day choosing
people to go up in a helicopter with us.
Oh, there we go.
Wait, stop!
Stop!
We got tickets given away.
We're giving away two gallons.
That would have qualified, but they're pro.
That was Andrea and Louis.
They're very professional.
Stop!
What are you doing tomorrow?
Would you like to be in a helicopter tomorrow?
Dude, I'd love to.
We have given away tickets.
Got this one to give to you to go up Rainbow Mountain tomorrow with Matt and I.
When you guys said stop, I was like on it.
I'm like, no, that stopped my life.
We saw a guy do a dirty old scrub off the last jump, pinned it by us, and we were like,
we've got to chase that guy down.
Turns out local legend Ian Morrison, but he has a whole new kit with Fast House logos
acting like he's hard.
But yeah, final heli ticket right there.
Good work, mate.
We did it.
Yes, bro.
So we've given away all of our tickets, and we're going to see all of these guys tomorrow
at the, what's that, the helicopter loop?
No.
The taxi loop.
We're going to get a party bus, and we're going to go over, get on a helicopter, and
head to the top of that mountain back there.
What's up, guys?
I'm here.
This is Craig.
This is Matt.
Matt is a professional mountain biker, and you know that.
But Craig is a snowboarder.
He's not a professional mountain biker.
And right now, we are going heli biking.
We found eight people yesterday in the bike park, and we gave them tickets to come with
us to go up on Rainbow Mountain.
And right now, we're doing that.
And yeah, we're going to take it away.
Let's do it.
I'm really scared, you guys.
So you've got Craig Cammons engaged.
Okay.
Oh my good God.
Dude, that helmet is huge.
I know.
Day one, I'm going to die right now.
Please.
I'm like Tom Cruise, or I mean Tom Hanks on Castaway.
Just got dropped at the top of Rainbow here, or almost at the top, top of the trail.
And look at this view.
We've got the bike park over there, Blackcomb over there, and then this is where we're going
to start off.
All right, then.
Dropping in, straight into the snow.
Please protect me.
I'm so scared right now.
There's a zombie.
Dude, I'm in the video game Halo right now.
Protect me, Tom Cruise.
All my followers, please protect me.
Nice work, Craig.
Look at this.
I'm sliding.
I'm going for it, Eric.
Craig, update quickly.
We made the first section.
It was technical.
It was scary.
I closed my eyes.
I'm still alive.
Yeah, we're only like five minutes down the trail, and we came to one of the harder parts,
I think, of the whole trail.
Inside line.
Inside.
Oh, okay.
You can get that.
Oh, my good God.
This is the hardest part.
And Craig said he got Kodak Courage, blasted the section, fastest time of the day, inspired
me, actually.
Wait, wait.
Like, take this one or the far right?
No, inside.
The far right's real sketchy.
Oh, like, steer left.
Yeah.
Follow that little track.
So sick, Craig.
Yes, Craig.
Everybody ready to go?
Let's follow the champ.
Champ, champ.
Yeah, baby.
Whoa, full inside.
Cut off.
Oh, my God.
Matt Jones coming into the mud hole.
Is he going to get it?
Pull, Matt.
Pull.
Oh, cased it.
No way.
Big hole.
Gas it.
Pull up.
Outside line.
Watch out for the mud, Craig.
Pull up.
I'm going to let you go.
This is a real hectic zone.
Oh, a nice little rock face.
Yes.
Hey, Craig.
Craig update.
I'm sweating.
Like a greased pig.
The group's over there.
I'm over here.
Trying to collect myself in the forest.
I'm trying to act tough.
But deep down, ladies and gentlemen, I'm scared.
Please think of me.
So we're about halfway down now.
Everybody's absolutely sending it.
I don't think we expected everybody to be this sick on a bike.
So pretty sick day.
We're doing pretty well for time, aren't we?
Yeah.
And we're killing it on time.
We've only been going an hour.
We're going to be done by two.
Everybody's happy.
If there wasn't tire tracks, I'd say this is not rideable.
Bro, I'm shaking.
I'm shocked by this.
So we're on top of the free ride line, and it's a lot more intimidating than I remember.
But it shouldn't be a problem.
It's more than a free ride line.
It's like a drop of doom.
Nah, it's all good.
Hold on there, Finn.
All right.
I'm going to do a breakfast.
You're a rabbit.
That's disgusting.
That's all right.
Quinn, popping in.
Yeah, Quinn.
Easy money.
Whoa!
Take it away, Quinn.
Oh, yeah.
This is tough.
Oh, what's happening there?
It's so good.
Oh, that's nice.
Yeah, buddy.
Whoa, he's going fast.
It's too easy, Craig.
We're about two thirds of the way down now, and we're coming into one of Whistler's steepest
trails.
Not the steepest.
I think it won't be a too big of a problem, but this is called Jaws.
And it's kind of similar to what we were riding up there, but I think the dirt's a little
bit better down here.
And we're going to ride the top part of this and then move into a trail called Billy's
Epic.
And, yeah.
What do you guys think?
Should be a good time?
Yeah.
Should be a great time.
Oh, man.
Down!
You okay?
Yeah, yeah.
I'm so sorry, dude.
All good.
Whoa!
Thank you.
Sick.
Yeah, again.
Can't get enough.
Take care.
Thanks, buddy.
