Hello everyone and welcome to a new episode of Sailing Banco Yes in the last episode you saw we had minor engine problems when lowering it into the water Now it's four days later we are back in Italy and in the meantime the mechanic has hopefully repaired the engine I at least got the bill which is already a good sign I think Now we are here waiting just a short while until there is enough water in the harbor until the tide has risen enough for us to leave And hope that the engine starts we'll try that right now Then we will hopefully go to the new marina today if everything works out Maybe go out to sea for a moment first set up the autopilot and do a little test Sailing is becoming more difficult these days because there's no winter which somewhat eases my parking into the box hopefully And yes that's how it looks So it will be a very exciting and interesting weekend for us And of course there are still many small things to do on board and of course we take you along as always The engine is running Check for water It looks more like water The cooling system seems to be working again That's already very good I'm going to the engine room right away and take a look at it from the inside Wow wow We are on the sea That's totally great We have now passed through the channel and are now here on the open sea For the first time in one and a half to two years A huge feeling standing here on the ocean with his own boat And it's tight no water gets in the engine is running Mega cool We are really excited We are now setting the autopilot so we are configuring it to work Hopefully And then we'll just hang around here a bit a bit of enjoying this Then we will go back and hopefully we will get into the mooring well Autopilot setup successfully configured It works It still surprises me that the connections I hooked up somewhere work No not anywhere I have already followed the instructions it works That's really cool And now we are heading back to the harbor and then we will practice two or three docking maneuvers o get a feel for it one more time at the end of the day Then we head straight to the box because you have to pay close attention to the tides here Here by the sea everything is cool but at the harbor itself there is already a tidal rise of one meter And with a draft of two meters and a pool of about two to two and a half meters You really have to be careful otherwise you might end up stuck someday Or also in the channel there are some parts that are a bit shallower Therefore we are always dependent on the tide here and we must always pay attention to it But now it's high tide so we're going back now We did it We successfully drove into the box in Capo Nord It was an interesting maneuver I needed two attempts and found out That's really tight without a rudder You have to really row back and forth quickly But we somehow managed to get in Fortunately we made it Everything worked out We are here now have already gotten used to it and are very happy That was an awesome day today We managed to do everything and now we're going to take a little break here and then continue on board with small tasks We're just about to have something to eat and check this out it's really impressive We can look under the dock right now It's currently at an all-time low Our leader also looks more like a slide It's really crazy how far we've gone Especially we're going even deeper We are simply not like the other boats because of our height So we are sinking here between all the other boats It looks really totally funny Yes a reason why we have already jumped into the water now in addition to the small turns and test drives The system we want to test in water and to eliminate the childhood diseases a bit For example we found out that our pump in the toilet is unfortunately dripping quite a bit What's a bit annoying is that I had planned it a year and a half ago you might still remember I think I also recorded it I bought a repair kit for this pump so I don't have to buy a new one I spent an hour scraping out the old excrement from this old pump and putting the kit on it The kit doesn't help if the casing is leaking And this is what we have now found out with the screws and it's not quite working That's why we have now also gotten a new one Unfortunately it doesn't help And I will install it right away so that we can go to the bathroom in peace and without any worries Tadaa new pump and it's working perfectly Nice now to sniff out pee and poop endlessly We are looking forward to it it's a great pleasure We have used this spot here can you already see the result From the back side of the Navikasten because it nicely extends into the salon we thought we would make that into a usable area and I just bought some self-adhesive cork sheet online from one of those cork sheet shops or foil cork board ordered and exactly there we can get what we want We think it looks nice too hanging up pictures maps and our to-do list A wonderful weekend again especially our maiden voyage We'll also reschedule the Prosecco for another time We haven't even drunk it yet We are really happy that we fit in so well here even in the box and that everything worked out especially because the weather also cooperated And we cleaned here thoroughly once again now the Benko is shining beautifully And yes we are completely
