Malawi Travel Vlog _ The Warm Heart of Africa SHOCKED Me!

Welcome to Malawi guys. This is what life is like in Nakata Bay. You just chill here, then you get on a boat, you go all the way to the other shore and have sundowners. It's a pretty tough life, but I'm managing. I'm doing okay. And we're here. It's 5 a.m. These are the fishermen just out on the lake. Okay, so you walk in like this. Have your beautiful bed. Look at this little corner with a freestanding mirror. I have not seen one of these since I've left Europe. This is brilliant. And then right here is the view. Absolutely brilliant. Hi. If you go up north to Kandy Beach, you can actually get a horse, go for a proper run, and you can come to the beach. You can even go swimming with them. We're not going swimming now. Nope, Jesse, not now. Come on, one more time. There we go. Oh, you are precious. You're precious. Transform Malawi style. We're gonna go swim in the water. Oh my gosh. So this week I'm staying at Mushroom Farm and there are some wonderful treks that you can do in the area, including the Chombe Plateau and the Waterfall Trek, which is what I did today. And then I decided, you know what? 10 kilometers is not good enough for me. So we also visited Livingstonia, which is the town here around me. That behind me is the local church, which is gorgeous. I'm gonna take you inside now. Walking up the tower. And this beautiful building is not a monastery, it's a university. It's the University of Livingstonia and it's absolutely gorgeous. You see that behind me? My university looks nothing like this. I just had the most incredible weekend in a place called Cape Maclaren, Malawi. And I quickly want to show you my room because it's so beautiful. So here is this gorgeous, gorgeous bed. You see mosquito nets everywhere. So it's super safe if you're worried about getting malaria. And the room is just gorgeous. I mean, you have a kitchen right there. You have your own private bathroom. But of course, the best part is the outside fit. So right here we have the terrace. And yep, that is a real view. That is not a green screen, guys. That is actually what it looks like. You can get really cheap accommodation right on the beach. And you can go from like a dorm, about $10 to a place like this. So yeah, if you are kind of thinking of a really cool, undiscovered beachy destination to come to, Malawi is your place. And I just went to the local market. And this is what I came back with for less than five British pounds. Brilliant. This is several meals worth of stuff. All fresh, all locally grown. All delicious.
