As you can see, Clarisse Cafe has a very cozy and nice vibe.
I really like the idea of having a bookstore inside of a cafe.
They serve artisanal teas here and it's a really great place to come either read a book
or work on your laptop.
So this is why we love Mexico City.
Well, just one of the reasons, but definitely an important one to us, the cafe culture.
Today we are at Clarisse Cafe in Condesa and we are going to be cafe hopping in the video
today, which I'm so excited for.
We're going to be visiting different cafes in Condesa.
It's a really hip neighborhood in Mexico City.
Would you like to tell a little bit more about it?
Well, if you're really interested in Condesa, we have a whole video where we visit some
of the main points of the neighborhood and we talk a lot about the history of it, the
architecture of it, and we describe its atmosphere.
But the three words that we like to narrow it down to are coffee, dogs, and parks.
That's the kind of neighborhood we're in in Condesa.
That's why we wanted to name this video.
This is why we love Mexico City, because it offers us the opportunity to be in places
like this, enjoy some of our favorite things like coffee, and just be around the atmosphere
that we really like to be in.
So if you know anything about Condesa, you know that the Parque Mexico is where people
gravitate to and Clarisse Cafe is right off of it.
So it's a really ideal spot.
That being said, since people are starting to travel more now, it's getting a little
bit more crowded, but if you come out in the morning on a weekday, it'll be pretty empty
and you can just see a lot of the locals living their normal life.
On the contrary, if you come on a Friday night or something, it's insane around here.
So I don't know how much crazier it's going to get when travel is at 100% again.
But for now, we're enjoying this middle point where things are open again.
are moving to Mexico, and although all of those are obviously factors for us to move
here, when we first came to Mexico City, we came to this area and we really envisioned
our life here.
So just a little bit of background on why we came here.
The lifestyle that this area of Roma and Condesa offers is definitely, definitely our
main contributing factor on why we moved to Mexico City specifically and why we love living
in Mexico.
If you're a true coffee lover, I really think you'll like Quentin Cafe.
I mean, did you see the beret on this guy?
They really know what they're doing.
They hire very experienced baristas to work here.
The coffee and the vibe is so good here.
That's why we choose to buy the coffee that we make at home from here.
Okay, we're at Quentin Cafe now.
It's a really cool spot.
They have really, really good coffee here.
It's a specialty coffee shop.
I got an iced pour over and Sergio got a flat white.
So I wanted to talk a little bit more about how big the coffee culture is here in Mexico
because if you didn't know, Mexico is actually a coffee producing country.
So at coffee shops like this, Quentin, you can try some of the country's best coffee.
Mexico hasn't always been known for its coffee but it's trying to gain that recognition
for being a really good place to source your coffee from.
So I feel very lucky to be living here during this little coffee revolution
because there are just so many good cafes.
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bore you.
Okay, we are at the Blend Station now which is one of our favorites.
Everyone comes here to work.
It's practically a co-working space at this point.
They also have another location located in Roma which we haven't been there in a very long time
but from what I remember, it was a little bit more laid back and chill than this location.
But if you are looking for somewhere to work, this one is great.
They have really great coffee.
We used to buy our coffee that we use at home all the time from here.
Now we buy it from Quentin which is the last place we went to but they're both great.
I really like their rose lemonade here.
It's very good.
And Sergio got the violet version of that.
They also serve food here so they have a kitchen.
I know they have at least one vegan option, maybe two.
So Blend Station is one of the first cafes that we ever visited in Mexico City
and I think it gave a great first impression of the city to us.
It's one of our OG favorites and I think it always will be.
Going along the lines of what we were saying about Condesa having so many dogs,
every place we've been to in this video has been dog friendly which is awesome.
Also, I wanted to mention since all we've been doing at these coffee shops is drink,
coffee, tea, and lemonade, we've been going to the restroom.
So all three of the coffee shops have 10 out of 10 restrooms just in case you were wondering.
So we are wrapping up our cafe hopping adventures for today
but we have a few things that we want to say before we sign off.
We have been listening to constructive criticism so we have been trying to
inject this new quality to this video so let us know what you think about this video in particular.
We're working towards investing in some new equipment so that we can
upgrade our videos a little bit and add some new elements to the videos so
look out for that very soon. We're very excited about it.
We also have some trips in the upcoming months so there is a lot to be excited about right now for us.
As always, if you're not subscribed to our videos make sure you hit the subscribe button
and turn on your notifications so you get notified every time we upload
we make videos about living and traveling in Mexico.
A big thank you to everybody who made it to the last Q&A on Wednesday.
That was really fun and we will definitely be doing another one with a different theme
coming up soon so stay tuned for that.
Okay that is going to wrap up this video.
Thank you so much for watching. We will see you next Sunday. Bye!
