Take a moment to settle into a comfortable position.
Allow your body to settle and ease gently into the surface that you're resting on.
And if you wish, you may gently close your eyes.
Let's begin by taking several slow, deep breaths.
So when you're ready, begin to inhale slowly and deeply in through your nose.
And exhale slowly out through your mouth.
Now let's do that again.
Deep breath in.
And breathe out.
And now one last time.
In and out.
Now take a moment and bring to mind some of the experiences and people you encountered today.
And just reflect on that for a moment.
Now repeat quietly to yourself,
Today, I did my very best.
And continue to breathe slowly and deeply.
Now as you breathe slowly and deeply,
imagine a warm, golden light flowing into your body,
entering from the bottom of your feet each time you breathe in.
Allow your breathing to flow naturally.
No need to force or control your breathing.
Just allow it to flow in and to flow out.
This warm, soothing light is filled with peace and relaxation.
It's soothing and comforting, like a warm, safe, cozy blanket.
Each time you breathe in, this calming light enters and fills the space of your toes and feet,
your legs, and your hips,
filling your fingers, your hands, and your arms.
Feel this soothing energy as it fills your back, your belly, and your chest.
Feel the warm wave of relaxation as it fills your shoulders,
your neck, and your head.
This warm wave continues to flow and spread, filling every single part of you.
Allow and accept this peaceful energy that is filling your entire being, body, mind, and spirit.
And as this soothing, golden light continues to calm and relax your body and mind,
you feel grateful for the people and the experiences you encounter today.
And as this peaceful feeling settles deep within you,
give yourself permission to relax and let go.
Let go of any tension that you may be feeling in your body, your head, your neck, and your shoulders.
Relax your arms, your hands and fingers.
Relax and let go of tension in your chest, your belly, and your back.
Relax your hips, your legs, your feet, and your toes.
Just let go.
Let go of any issues or situations that may be weighing down on you.
Just put it aside for a little while.
This warm wave of relaxation feels so safe and so comforting.
And you deserve to feel this way.
You deserve to feel relaxed.
You deserve to feel serene.
And you deserve to end your day in a peaceful way.
So take a moment and enjoy this tranquil feeling.
As you continue to relax and let go, repeat quietly to yourself,
I feel relaxed.
I feel safe.
I feel at ease.
Continue to breathe slowly and deeply and know that this tranquil energy continues to spread and flow within you.
Now quietly repeat to yourself,
Today I did my very best.
I am thankful for all the experiences that today brought into my life.
Today I became a little bit wiser.
I see the goodness that is all around me.
I let go of all my worries and concerns and give them to spirit.
I am at peace.
I welcome and embrace the lessons I learned today.
This evening I fully accept the feeling of relaxation.
I feel at ease as I lie down.
This evening I feel gratitude and joy.
I am winding down now and all is well.
I am now relaxed both physically and mentally.
I look forward to tomorrow and the opportunities it will bring.
I let go of tension more and more.
I will sleep well and wake up feeling refreshed.
Tomorrow is a brand new day that will bring new possibilities.
I look forward to tomorrow.
Today I did my very best.
Now very gently bring your awareness back into the room.
Back into your body.
Feel free to stretch or yawn.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Turn your head from side to side.
Feel the places of pressure beneath you becoming aware of your body.
Your head.
Your neck.
Shoulders.
Arms and hands.
Your chest.
Your belly.
And your back.
Becoming aware of your hips.
Your legs.
Your feet.
And your toes.
Becoming more and more alert.
Take a nice slow deep breath in.
And when you're ready, open your eyes.
