Training Climbing Fuchsias Up An Obelisk. Today I had a real surprise when this beautiful obelisk complete with three climbing fuchsias arrived by post. I had ordered them from the QVC Shopping Channel about six weeks ago and then completely forgot all about doing it! The obelisk is not made of metal as I had originally thought, but I’d plastic. I know we are not supposed to buy plastic if possible but I will keep it forever and do it won’t be going into landfill ever.

Have fun in your gardens!
Janette, The Enthusiastic Gardener
About six weeks ago, when there was no garden centres open, nothing, I never do.
One day they had a full Sunday of gardening.
I think it was a bit desperate because I hadn't been able to buy any plants and I exported it.
Then I just forgot all about it completely.
And it turned up yesterday which brings me to the shopping channel.
So that was a nice surprise.
It's an obelisk and I've always done an obelisk.
But this obelisk is different and it came with fuchsia plants.
This is a fuchsia plant which is just beginning to get buds.
And look at this flower here, look at this beautiful swillium.
Isn't that pretty?
Our friend Tina gave me that.
And yes, I've got an obelisk.
But being a Gemini, I always want two of everything.
Right, slowly but surely, I think I should have responsibility for Westland.
Because I'm producing this video and mentioning their product, Westland, if you're watching.
Perhaps you should subscribe to them.
All the advertising I've been doing lately.
So yes, they're just little fuchsias.
I have no idea what type of fuchsias because there was no label.
I might have an email somewhere with information.
But anyway, subscribe to them.
And I know where I'm going to put it.
One more space across the wall.
Then, oop.
I've done the room, I've planted them.
Sorry, I've just planted them.
Planters and things of the sort.
But then it's Monday, that's what we're doing.
So, apologies if my videos are not so varied.
And I have to let you into a secret.
It's actually plastic.
Which, you're not supposed to buy plastic.
But I will use it for evermore.
And it's the fact that you put things into landfill and I'm not going to put it into landfill.
So I thought I could have it here.
This is the west side of my house.
And it catches the sun in the...
Well actually, this spot here is the very last bit of sun we have for the day here.
I think it's lovely.
Let me show you.
Lucy.
Come on.
She spends all of her time there.
Hour after hour after hour.
Don't we all, little girl?
So I hope you like it.
I love it.
It was a nice surprise.
Because I forgot all about it.
Since so long ago, that's a good thing.
Anyway, thank you for joining me.
And hope you're having fun in your gardens.
And I will see you again very, very soon.
Thanks for watching.
Bye.
