Avatar_ The Next Shadow #4 Review

Hey everyone, so this should be my last video on our Vitalan X Shadow comic. I thought I'd just do a review of the fourth issue but instead of getting the fourth issue I have the collected edition here which includes all four issues so it's the complete story. There's this really nice cover here with Jake on the front and the back cover if you can see it has this huge Quaritch with Jake and that's actually the front cover of the fourth issue if you were to get the fourth issue on its own and I just thought I'd super quickly go through that fourth issue if as everyone remembers in the previous issues Arvox who's his brother has fought Jake has poisoned him and this issue is dealing with the fallout from that and we end up with the humans basically being contacted by the Navi and overall in this issue it covers Jake surviving the poison and basically the humans are asked to go get this special flower from these caves and it's the only thing that can cure him of the poison that has been used and the humans are asked to go because they're small enough and because it's sacred ground so the entrance to the cave is really small. The really interesting part is that Jake starts to have some kind of fever dream I guess induced by the poison and you can see it all here where he sees her he wakes up and he's in human form and he sees a giant version of Susie and talks to him and they you know warn him about he basically feels guilt about the humans coming this is where he sees the giant again and it just shows that Jake is basically full of these doubts overall I think it's really cool I really like this in fact I would say the fourth issue is my favorite issue because you get to see some quite nice contrast between the blue and green of Pandora and the fever dream that Jake has he's given the cure and I also think the final image it's really really nice basically that Neteri comes back and they're all celebrating that Jake is returned they send Arbok and his parents away and Arbok abandons his parents because they betrayed him but yeah this bit here that I really really enjoyed the final page was that Neteri comes back and Jake speaks to her she says that he seems different and she's the funniest thing to say and then it ends on this really nice image the thing is that he says he never felt more himself and it's his body again so it harkens back to that very first image we saw in the very first issue of of his body that his human body that he's buried and then there's like an advert for susie's path the previous comic at the back so yeah overall I really enjoyed the next shadow I think it was kind of slow to start but once it got going it was it was really good it's some nice character development for Jake and helps us see more of the Navi culture some of the I guess aspects of it that aren't so glamorous that we see in the movie I really think anyone who's a huge fan of the movie should should read it it's available online as well as in print I don't know if anyone even gets that much use from these videos but I hope that you do thanks for watching if you if you've made it this far and I look forward to making more content in the future
