Hey curlfriends, I'm Bianca Renee and you're watching Bianca Renee today.
And today I got my hands on the new Rizos Curls collection.
Rizos Curls just dropped a detox scalp scrub, a vitamin C hair mask, and a nourish oil.
Three new products so you know I had to try them all.
But before we get started, can we just talk about the packaging?
Rizos Curls is coming up in the world.
Are they even considered a small brand anymore?
Like they're in Target.
They're just killing the game.
And I've always just felt like the owner Julissa needed to have pink bottles.
Like when I think of Julissa, I think the color pink.
And as soon as I saw them drop the light hold gel in this pink bottle, I was like,
oh this is the future of their packaging.
So I hope that even their shampoo and conditioner also goes pink.
But their new bottles of the mask, like look at these pink tubs.
It just, it just works.
It's just what it had to be.
But without further ado, let me hop in the shower and show you exactly how I added these
to my Rizos Curls routine.
Let's start off with their detox scalp scrub.
This scrub is going to be the first step in your wash day routine before your shampoo.
So the touch is really nice.
It's a very finely grained type of scrub.
So it's not any big chunky pieces that are going to be hard to rinse out.
So that's a major plus for me.
But this detox scalp scrub is going to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin, product buildup,
and excess oil from your scalp and your hair.
It's made with soothing aloe vera, purifying pink clay, and refreshing peppermint oil.
When you do take a little whiff, you do smell that peppermint oil,
but it's not anything too strong or overbearing.
This scalp scrub will clarify weighed down hair,
It is fragrance free, but it does naturally smell like peppermint.
It's vegan and cruelty free.
Peppermint oil is known to increase circulation, keeping your scalp balanced.
Moringa oil will help nourish the scalp, will help fighting dandruff and split ends.
Hydrated silica gently removes product buildup.
And arnica extract is known to help strengthen your hair follicles.
This detox scrub can be used on anybody with a scalp, whether your hair is dry,
itchy, oily, or your hair just has product buildup.
Because of how squeaky clean my scalp felt after I rinsed it out,
I do think I want to keep this just to my scalp,
and not really bring it down to the lengths of my hair.
But then once I rinsed it out, I grabbed the Rezos Curls hydrating shampoo,
and I realized that a little does go a long way.
So I use too much, hence the excessive amount of bubbles.
I prefer a shampoo that lathers, so I actually love it.
It just makes me feel like I'm really giving my hair a nice little bubble bath.
But this is going to be for not just my scalp, but also for the lengths of my hair.
Once I rinse it out, instead of grabbing the Rezos Curls deep conditioner,
I'm actually going to skip the conditioner
and go straight to the new Vitamin C hair repair mask.
Now this mask right here has grapefruit peel oil and orange peel oil,
which is rich in antioxidants and gives your hair an instant radiant glow,
nourishing, softness, and revitalization.
I'm applying it directly to the lengths of my hair, especially on my ends,
but I did notice that this had great slip.
I was really shocked because sometimes masks aren't really made for detangling,
but it did a really good job.
And that's because it has an ingredient that I've probably never said before,
but murumuru butter?
Yeah, whatever that is, it provides nourishing slip, moisture, and reduces frizz.
But as the title says, it also has Vitamin C,
which is just an ingredient that I've been loving even for my skin lately.
But Vitamin C has proven to repair hair cuticles,
resulting in improved shine, manageability within five minutes.
And last but not least, it also has argan oil,
which hydrates, prevents breakage, and future damage to your hair.
So who should use this mask?
Anybody that has dry or dull or damaged hair from heat or color.
It shields your hair from damage.
It's fragrance-free, but it does naturally smell like grapefruit and orange,
so it's a very fruity scent, and it is vegan and cruelty-free as well.
Once my hair was completely and easily detangled,
I put my hair up in a clip and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Then I rinsed it out.
One note that I do have for the packaging
is that I do wish that it had the directions right on the bottle.
It is on the box, like everything you need to know is on here.
It's a lot of information I could see getting kind of wordy on the packaging.
But I would at least like just the directions on the bottle
because sometimes when I get in the shower,
I'm like, how long am I supposed to keep this on?
And I didn't bring the paper box in with me in the shower.
So at one point, I was like, um,
was I supposed to leave this on for five minutes or 10 minutes?
But on the box, it says to let it sit for at least 10 minutes and then rinse it out.
Fresh out the shower, my hair feels very moisturized.
That mask definitely worked.
Even immediately after I rinsed it out, my curls just felt like juicy.
So I love the mask.
Now let's apply some stylers.
I'm going to use the Rizos Curls Curl Defining Cream.
You guys have seen me use this a million times.
I'm just going to put like a little bit
because I'm going to be using the light hold gel on top.
You guys know I usually use strong hold gels.
So because I want to have a cast, I don't want too much moisture underneath.
So this is going to be like step one.
It is a styler, but I'm almost using it as a leave-in to get some moisture,
mainly on my ends.
It's the driest part of our hair.
And a little does go a long way, as you saw by the shampoo.
Breaking it through and scratch.
Voila!
I have used this cream on its own, but you know I'm a gel girl.
So now the Rizos Curls has their own gel.
I'm going to add some of the light hold gel.
I forgot that it's yellow.
Ah, it smells great.
Very light, refreshing scent.
Beautiful.
So now I'm going to let this air dry for a little bit,
come back to diffuse, and try that new oil.
And I'm back.
My hair has dried a little bit.
We're getting a slight cast, but because it is light hold, it's nothing crazy.
But I'm going to get my GSQ by Glam Squad blow dryer.
It's a much more affordable option than the Dyson.
You can get it at CVS.
And I'm going to put on my Rizos Curls diffuser.
Pop it on like that.
You know, stay on brand.
And let's diffuse.
Pro tip, do not diffuse in a sweater.
But here we are.
Oh, look at that.
It's honestly shiny and I didn't even put any oil on it yet.
But let's do it anyways.
So this is day one hair.
Pre-fluffed, pre-oil.
What are you doing?
Side part?
Sure, why not?
Let's try the last new product.
This is the Rizos Curls nourish oil.
It has grapefruit, orange, carrot seed, moringa, sunflower, and castor oil for hair, scalp,
and body.
A lightweight oil that deeply nourishes hair, scalp, and skin.
Instantly minimizes appearance of frizz.
Rejuvenates scalp with moisture.
Gives a radiant shine and softness.
Cute.
Visibly healthier looking hair, scalp, and skin.
It says to apply a few drops directly onto cleansed hair, scalp, or body for an instant
boost of nourishing moisture.
Use at ends of styled hair for added softness and shine.
That's what we're going to do.
Please smell good.
Oh, wow.
It smells like oranges.
It's still very light.
Like a light scent though.
I'm going to scrunch it on my hair for some added moisture, added shine.
And this will also break up the cast if you have like a hard or crunchy gel.
Nice.
Can you guys believe I'm using oils now?
Oils has definitely been part of the switch it up challenge for me because I never used
oils.
And now it's like always the last step of my routine.
So proud of myself for trying new things.
Nice.
Look at that.
Wow.
See the difference?
It's even shinier.
But I do want it bigger.
So I'm going to keep scrunching it in.
Flipping it around.
Going to do a little more diffusing.
Then I'm going to grab my Risos Curls Pick.
I think I'm actually going to kind of grease up the pick a little bit.
Picking upside down allows for all your visual curls not to get frizzy.
This is all the hair that you're not going to see.
The oil does feel very lightweight.
It's not weighing down my hair at all.
The scent isn't overbearing.
I like it.
But the leaving smell is definitely that sweet orange.
All right.
So there's that.
And if you ever get a little too wild like I usually do and get a little bit of frizz,
just add a little bit more product like gel or the cream.
Smooth down my little flyaways that I always have here in the front.
And there you go.
My full Risos Curls wash day using all of their new products.
And I'm impressed per usual.
When it comes to scalp scrubs,
I'm realizing that I prefer a scrub on its own versus a scrub shampoo.
When you really need that scalp cleanse,
I think it is better to have something that'll scrub it out first
and then apply your shampoo after.
Kind of giving you like a double cleanse.
The mask.
Love it.
Love that it's also good for repair if you have damaged hair.
Love anything that has vitamin C in it nowadays.
It made my hair extremely moisturized.
It didn't weigh it down.
It was really easy to detangle with it.
Love this.
And then the oil is also great.
Lightweight.
Good for extra shine.
Has great ingredients.
Silicone free.
All three products are winning.
If I had to choose my favorite of the three,
it would be the mask.
I am slightly biased because I'm a deep conditioning girl.
Like if you had to define me in two products,
it'd be stronghold gel and hair mask.
This is a great one to add to your routine.
You can use it once a week.
It can replace your conditioner.
Highly recommend.
