A video we did for Visit Redding, highlighting the many extreme sports Redding has to offer!
Welcome to Redding, a city filled with endless recreational activities.
This weekend, we're challenging all adventure seekers.
Day one, mountain climbing.
Castle Craig sits at a staggering 6,500 feet.
And while scaling this rocky formation is not for the faint of heart,
it is definitely worth the climb.
But if mountain climbing does not pique your interest, let's switch gears.
Did you know that the San Francisco Chronicle says that Redding
is California's secret mountain biking mecca?
There are over 200 miles of trails to discover and explore.
There is something for everyone, whether you've just learned how to pedal
or you live for the thrill.
Day two, off-highway recreational vehicles.
The Chappie Shasta OHV Park has over 250 miles of scenic trails
for motocross riders to all-terrain vehicles and four-wheelers.
This beautiful park is near Shasta Lake,
and its many trails overlook the Sacramento River as well as Shasta Dam.
Oh, hey guys!
Day three, spend it on the water.
Shasta Lake has everything from jet skis to wakeboarding
to something called a jet evader, which is actually pretty easy to learn
and you'll be soaring through the sky within no time.
So next time you're looking for a little excitement,
plan your extreme sports vacation in Redding, the undiscovered California.
