Apartment Tour | Interior Design | Jennifer Decorates

Hello, I'm Jennifer with Jennifer Decorates and this video is about a beautiful apartment in downtown Nashville that we gave a makeover from top to bottom, so stay tuned. Let me give you a little bit of a snippet background of my client and this design job. She had been taking care of her mother for some time and that season had passed and she was ready for a complete overhaul in her apartment. She was ready to get rid of a lot of the heavy tones, a lot of the red colors that you'll see in some of the before pictures, and I'll tell you something else. She didn't shy away from doing a lot of work herself and she did a lot of behind the scenes to prep for us and that's what made this project so unbelievable. Take a look. Early in the morning, a very cold morning, but we are right outside of the Icon building in downtown Nashville in the Gulch. We are going to be doing a very special job for a wonderful client. I have a huge team here, so let's go get started. The kitchen is to the left when you first walk in the apartment. There was a lot of visual noise going on, especially these shelves that were right above the sink. Also, my client wasn't crazy about the tile and this was one of the projects she tackled herself. The kitchen island was pretty big. It was stark colors and we needed to soften that as well. In the living room, we had those shelves again, so we were going to remove those. We needed to soften this room with drapes. Then we have this big huge hutch that really when you first walk in the apartment, that's all you saw. So, we needed to replace that with something different. I could not wait to get my hands on her master bedroom. My vision was to create a romantic space that just made the world go away. This is the idea the client wanted for her bedroom and she did the legwork. She found the doors, she stained them herself, and Scott installed them. I purchased some gold medallions and I actually painted them with chalk paint to give them a much more romantic look. Next, we hung some chiffon fabric draping over the doors. This has been a very long day, a very long project. We did an entire house transformation. One of the things that I ask my clients to do is when it is decorating day, they have to leave. She is going to be here in just a little bit and I cannot wait to show her this transformation. Her best friend took a road trip to be here for the reveal. Now, here we go. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. So, move her around the room. Okay, I'm gonna help you out. Oh my gosh. Love your table. I'm so glad you left it like it was. This is probably one of my favorite things, is the piece behind the sofa. That, no, no, no. Oh my gosh, look how beautiful this is. Really, I'm not a crying person. I guess I am. Yes, you are. This girl's never moving again. And then, say, okay, so say you're laying back, but you don't lean all the way back. Maybe Tracy has a question over there. So, you push the next button. It just leans your head up. I'm sorry, Tracy, what'd you say? I didn't hear you. Oh my gosh, look how incredible. Oh my gosh, look at that painting. That is beautiful. Look at these curtains. Oh, I gotta see them. Hold on. I just want to crawl in and hit his knee. And the doors. You nailed it. Scott did that.
