DECORATE WITH ME SPRING 2020! EASTER & SPRING HOME DECORATING IDEAS | FARMHOUSE DINING ROOM

Hey, at least I'm breathing. I know it took a while. Been looking for a sweet song, a sign of spring. Waiting for a reason. Hello and welcome to the Carriage House, a place where you can find cozy inspiration for your hearth and home. And today I am decorating for spring. That is my baby in the background, by the way. But I'm decorating for spring and Easter in our dining room and getting it all bright and fresh for the new season. So I'm using decor that I've collected over the years as well as some new things. I just recently bought a Hobby Lobby. So just very excited to get our home all prepared for spring these next few weeks. But before I decorate, I'm going to do a quick cleanup in here. I'm going to wipe down this hutch here as well as the tables and windows just to freshen it up. It's nice to have a clean and uncluttered room to start with before decorating, I've noticed. You can enjoy everything so much better. I also love to bring more light into the room while decorating for spring. And this is just symbolic for leaving the darkness of winter behind and slowly moving outward towards the light of spring. So these napkins are new. I got them at Hobby Lobby this year. And I have little bunny napkin rings that I'm going to use later with some of these. But I'm also going to use these to decorate in other ways. I always love to use them to drape alongside plants or bowls or lots of things. You could do so much with them to add layers of color and texture around your home. Okay, so this little faux lavender plant here, I'm going to use to put these little pastel egg ornaments on. And then after spring and Easter's over, I'll just take them off and use the lavender plant here throughout the summer. And I do have my little buddy here right now helping me out. His name is Bo Hannon, for those of you who are new. He's four months old now already, if you can believe it. He's starting to laugh a lot. I was actually trying to get him to laugh here on camera, but he just didn't. He smiled a lot. But I've been trying to get lots of footage of that to show you guys. And I felt bad. I felt like I made him spit up. But I've been trying to get lots of footage of him laughing and stuff, just to show you guys here. Because y'all are so sweet. For those who've been on this channel for a while, y'all always ask about him and everything. He's just growing up really, really fast. Too fast. I also have these little miniature mugs in different pastel colors, which I thought were really pretty. These were from Hobby Lobby too. But it took me a while to figure out what I was going to do with these, but I ended up putting these little moss type of decorative little eggs in here. So I hope they look okay. You guys let me know what you think, and let me know if you have any other ideas on what I could do with them. But I love this little truck too. I actually got this last year at Target, but you could put all kinds of little stuff in there as well. I just love all things miniature for some reason. Okay, so decorating our little buffet table here. So on the first day of spring, as well as on Easter, I will probably bake something sweet like a carrot cake or a hummingbird cake or something like that to put on this platter. But in the meantime, I'll just do what I'm doing here and the chalkboard that I'm about to put out, I'll write down what it is that I made and probably write, you know, like, happy spring or happy Easter or something like that. But lots of fun and lively spring related videos coming up. More spring decorating, spring laundry, morning night routines, a new kitchen, organizing, updates on all the new kitchen and everything, introducing all of our cats here at our home. We do have 10 cats and we are going to try and work on spring and Easter recipes, traditions, and gardening. There's just so much, you guys. I'm just really excited for spring and summer.
