It's day 19 of Vlogmas, and today, Judah and I are heading out to buy some stocking stuffers for Dean and to pick up one (hopefully two) Nintendo Switches! We're also having some dinner at Panera Bread, and then I'll share my TJ Maxx stocking stuffer haul with you when I get home. Enjoy, friends!
Love and light,
Meagan

Good evening guys. It's day 19 of Vlogmas and Judah and I are in the car headed out of town to do a
little bit of Christmas shopping today. We are going to stop at Walmart and see if we can find
a Nintendo Switch for Judah. He and his brothers did a little job for Dean at the shop. They put
together some parts that needed put together and they earned quite a bit of money. They worked on
that all during November, maybe like the end of October and all through November. They have
lots of money and Judah and Isaiah, my second oldest, want to buy Nintendo Switches. Judah
wants to get his at Walmart and we are meeting someone to buy a Nintendo Switch from him. We
found this one used on Facebook Marketplace. It looks like it's in really great condition. It was
only owned and used for a little while by an adult. It comes with a Legend of Zelda game,
which they're excited about. Anyway, Judah decided to go ahead and buy his at Walmart
because he doesn't want to wait to see if we can find another used one on Craigslist or Facebook
Marketplace. He's a little impatient. He wants to get it tonight. Hopefully, fingers crossed,
the two Walmarts in our area, hopefully, well actually there are three. I forgot about the
other one. Anyway, hopefully one of them has a Nintendo Switch this time of the year. It's very
close to Christmas. I looked it up online at Walmart.com. They said they had it. That's our
first stop is Walmart. Then we're heading to maybe TJ Maxx, maybe Ross because I would like to pick
up a few things for Dean for Christmas to put in like a stocking for him. We bought ourselves,
we kind of have a joint Christmas gift this year. We bought ourselves a home security system and
we've already ordered it and everything's here. He just has to put it up. That way we, the two of us,
can get up in the morning and go to the gym that's like five minutes down the road from us,
five to seven minutes from us. We can leave the boys at home sleeping in the bed.
Now, Jude is almost 13, so he's like, I guess, legally old enough to watch or to stay home by
himself. We wanted a security system that would show us cameras of the doors. It alerts us when
the doors are opened or windows are open or whatever, like all of the stuff that it has.
My in-laws are right next door and I have brothers and sister-in-laws that live really close to us,
so we are surrounded by family. Hopefully, Dean and I can get up, run down the road in the morning
for an hour workout a few days a week while the boys sleep in the bed at home.
Oh, we also bought the fire alarms that are linked into the security system, so if they
go off for any reason, it alerts us and we can get back quickly. Then, of course, it's all
connected to, I don't think it's connected to the fire department. It's connected to
9-1-1, so they can call whoever they need to if things go off and they're needed. Anyway,
that's our joint Christmas gift together, but I still wanted him to have a little something
that he can open up on Christmas morning. He loves stockings, like if I stick things in
stockings, like practical things that he needs and then some fun little special extras that he's not
expecting. When he and his brothers and sister were little, his mom had these massive stockings,
like as tall as they were, and she would always fill them with lots of little things. That's
a nice childhood memory that he has. I used to do that a lot more than I have in the last
several years, but I would have filled the stocking every year and give him one main gift.
It seems like the past several years, we've gotten each other bigger gifts,
so I just haven't done the stocking. This year, since we both are splitting that Christmas gift,
I thought this would be a good year to do stocking. We're going to grab the Switch.
We're going to go and shop for stuff for his stocking. My camera is going everywhere. These
roads are bumpy. Then we're going to go pick up Isaiah's Switch. We may eat at some point
in all of this. I'm not sure. I'm not sure how much time we'll have. What time is it right now,
Gina? I think it's like four o'clock. It's 4.08. 4.08. Okay, so we have to meet the guy to get
the Switch at 7.30 at Best Buy. I think we'll have a good bit of time, but we'll see. I don't
even have really any ideas of what I want to get Dean in his stocking except for basic stuff. He
likes socks and undies and toothpaste and toothbrushes and razors. We have plenty of soap.
I usually will get him some special soap or whatever. We have plenty of that stuff. I'm
beard oil and grooming things other than needing new razors. He's got plenty of that stuff. I do
want to see if I can get him some sweatpants, workout style pants. He has one pair that he
wears to the gym in the winter when it's cold, and he needs more than that. He needs a couple
more. I'm going to see if I can find two or three pairs of those, maybe some gum.
Any other ideas, Judah, what Daddy would like? Oh, I should get him,
well, you got him that coffee mug for his birthday. I was thinking I should get him some
coffee mugs, but I think we have plenty. Oh yeah, like some special coffee. He would like that.
Be a good idea. Anyway, so if we go to TJ Maxx and Ross, they have so many little knickknacks
and stocking stuffers this time of the year that I'm sure I'm going to walk away with plenty for
stocking from those two stores. Yeah, so anyway, that's what we're up to this evening.
Okay, so we went to Walmart, one Walmart, and unfortunately they did not have any Nintendo
switches, and so I called four other, no, I guess I called three other Walmarts around our area.
The one that we're at was the fourth, and none of them had Nintendo switches. They're all supposed
be getting shipments tonight. One of them just sold their last switch, like he said, like 15
minutes ago, so we missed that one. Anyway, we are going to try to order one online tomorrow,
and then we will be able to pick it up on Monday when we come down and do something for Uriah's
birthday, because his birthday's on Monday, and fingers crossed we get it then. If not, we're
just gonna cut our losses in the local stores and order it on Amazon, because Amazon has them,
and we have tried lots of stores. Actually, you know, we could stop at GameStop. I wonder if they
would have them. Do they have new ones? I don't know. Does GameStop have new ones?
They have used ones, and they're probably like in good shape and work and all that good stuff. Anyway,
maybe we'll, maybe we'll do that. I'm not sure. No, I'll just sell anything.
Okay, so for now, though, we are going to go to TJ Maxx first, and then we're going to go to Ross
to see what we can find for Dean for a stocking. Then we're going to pick up some gift cards at
Chick-fil-A as some cousins gifts, and then we are going to eat at Panera, and then if we have time,
we'll find a GameStop before we head home and check and see if they have any in stock. So,
that's our new plan since we were not able to get the switches at Walmart. So, June and I are at
Panera. Yeah, we're inside. It shouldn't be cold. What did you get to drink? The agave lemonade,
and I got a green tea something, and we're waiting on our food. It's very quiet in here tonight.
There's, like, nobody here, and then for dessert, Judah got a cinnamon roll,
and I got a pumpkin muffin of some sort. So, this is, like, our traditional
Panera bread thing. Like, we, we always get the you pick two,
soup and sandwich, and then we always have a dessert, don't we?
Yeah, we have not found a Nintendo Switch at all. They're all gone. I mean, they're online.
They're available online, and they'll ship them and be here around, like, the 28th through the
30th of December. That's probably what we're gonna have to go with unless we can order one
at Walmart and pick it up on Monday because they get it in stock. Yeah, we're gonna do that. So,
hopefully that works out. If not, we'll be shipping it, and you'll just get it after Christmas,
which is fine. They'll have Isaiah's to play with for, um, a few days.
Gonna eat some yummy food in just a second. You having a good time tonight?
Even though you haven't found your Switch? I'm hanging out.
You haven't found your Switch? Yeah.
And I still got my first mask. Yeah.
All righty.
One mask away from getting, like, the best mask in the game.
Winter break homeschool goals.
Beat video games.
Okay, so we have a Switch, box Switch inside, and we're gonna stop at Ross and head in here
really quick and see if we can find, if Judah can find, Uriah a birthday gift.
Hey, guys. So, Judah and I just got back from our little shopping trip, um, to grab some Christmas
gifts for Dean's Stocking and to get the, the, um, Nintendo Switch. Um, anyway, I came on here
to end tonight's or today's vlog, but I thought before I did that I would show you what I got
from T.J. Maxx. T.J. Maxx. I keep wanting to call it, for some reason, I keep calling it T.J. Masks,
like T.J. Masks. Anyway, I think I saw a T.J. Masks toy tonight, and for whatever reason,
I just keep calling it that, but T.J. Maxx. Um, I'm gonna show you the little things that I got
for Dean's Stocking. Um, so, to start with, one of the big things that I wanted to get were these jogger
sweatpants kind of things. I don't know if you guys can see this. The light's kind of strange in here.
Um, they, like, taper at the bottom of the leg, and they're really soft and cozy and thick and warm.
This one is from Brooklyn Cloth Brand. I've never heard of that, but it's only ten dollars,
and they're gray, and then I got another pair that are black, and they are from,
what is this, South Pole, and they were, um, normally 40, but they were on sale for 10.
What are these normally? This doesn't say what they normally, like, no price, no price, don't know.
Anyway, um, I'm not sure if they'll fit him. I'm not sure if he'll like them, but we can always take
him back if he doesn't, and I thought they just looked really cozy, like it would be nice to wear
over his gym shorts if it's cold out on the way to the gym, or, like, when he gets home, he could
just put them on, um, and lounge around the house in them, and it would be just, like, really comfortable
kind of just loungy clothes, you know. Um, so, yeah. So, I got those two things, and then I got him a
bunch, a bunch of, like, little kind of knickknacks or things to go in the stocking. So, one thing I
got him was this little foot scrubber thingy that you, I guess, keep in the shower, but it felt
really good, um, to use that if he wants it. I don't know. He was in the men's section with all the men's stuff,
so I thought, hey, let's try that. I got him some, um, black socks. Um, he loves brand new socks,
and he has a ton, but anyway, I got him some more of those because I figured he would like them.
I got him some extra razors, um, and then I got him this. It's, like, a barber scissors and a comb. He
doesn't really need the comb, but the barber scissors. We already have some of these, but
they're pink because they're mine. They're, they were for, like, what I use for cutting hair and
stuff, so I thought having an extra pair and having a black pair would be a good thing, um, and he would,
it's just, like, a little fun thing for his stocking. I also got him this Hydra Peak. It's, like, a
bottle, and it's, it does hot or cold, like, it'll keep things hot or cold, and it's a 32 ounce.
He has a Hydra flask, but it's smaller than this, and, um, when he's at the gym, he likes to have
water, and he likes to have this, like, workout drink that he drinks, um, so he could have this
for his water and then use his Hydra flask for the workout drink, um, if he wanted. Um, so I'll
I also got him a bottle of this CKB. Um, we don't really wear, like, perfume and cologne all that
much. I usually wear botanical perfumes, but, um, I do still have some old perfumes from, like,
forever ago, and every once in a while, I'll put those on, and he, every once in a while,
we'll put some cologne on, um, like if we're going on a date or we're just doing something special.
I also got him these Columbia boxers. Um, they're boxer briefs. We, he's never used the Columbia
brand before, um, so I thought we would just try it. They were, like, $12.99, I think. Um, I think
the Hydro Flask, or not the Hydro Flask, what they call it, Hydro Peak, that was, like, $12.99.
The CKB was $20, I believe, um, and most of these other things were, like, $4.99, $5.99, nothing
super expensive, and the last thing that I got him, this was $5.99, is a three-in-one wash for hair,
face, and body. It's cedar and tea tree oils, aloe vera and seed oil, and that'll just be nice,
something totally natural. It's vegan, carobin-free, mineral oil-free. Anyway, I hear Dean home. I think
he's put the boys to bed, so I'm gonna quickly wrap this stuff up. Thank you guys so much for
watching today's vlog. Um, I hope you guys enjoyed it. Um, it was nice to kind of go and kind of
finish getting some Christmas gifts that I needed. I needed to, um, we also got a couple of, um,
gift, gift cards for two cousins, um, when I was out tonight. I also got that, so it's, like, I'm
kind of finishing up all of this Christmas stuff that I need to get done, and I will probably have
another wrapping day, because I have a ton of stuff to wrap. Hopefully all of Dean's stocking
stuff fits in his stocking, and if I need more, I can grab, like, gum and toothbrushes, toothpaste,
and maybe some deodorant, or just different things like that, depending on what I think he needs.
Um, yeah, so I hope you guys have had a good Saturday. Um, it's been, as usual, kind of a busy
one. Not hectic, but just, you know, there's been a lot going on today. Um, I will probably not vlog
tomorrow, because it's Sunday, and Sunday I just don't really have a ton of stuff going on, and I
like to have kind of a day where I just relax, and I don't have to worry about, um, coming up
with something to do with a video. Um, Vlogmas has been really fun for me, but it's also challenging
because I have to come up with something to show you guys every single day, and there are things,
it's just kind of one of those things you normally don't think about, like, what you're gonna show
people that you're doing each day. Thankfully, the advent activities have kept us, you know,
busy and kind of doing stuff, um, this year. So anyway, um, I hope you guys are enjoying the
Vlogmas videos. I would love to know your con- uh, no, love to know your thoughts in the comment
section below about what you think, or, um, what you've enjoyed so far, what you would like to see
more of. Um, anyway, so yeah, I'm just gonna wrap this video up for today, take a nice break tomorrow.
Again, I hope you guys had a good Saturday, and I will talk to you on Monday, I guess. Bye!
