CHRISTMAS & HOLIDAY CLEAN WITH ME 2019! GUEST BEDROOM PREP

Hi guys and welcome to a Christmas clean with me here at the Carriage House. I'm in our guest bedroom today and just planning to make it extra cozy and warm for guests that are coming over for the holidays this year. But before I start decorating and getting toiletries and things like that together, I'm going to focus on just getting it nice and clean first and that's what we're doing today. So I'm also going to be giving you guys some tips along the way in case you have guests coming to visit as well. I even bought the Mrs. Meyers Holiday Scent, the Iowa Pine, I believe that's what it is, just to make the cleaning a little bit more fun and festive. So if you have friends or family members coming to join you this year at your home, then hopefully this video will provide some motivation because I know we all need it sometimes. So the first thing I wanted to do was make sure the guests have a nice, comfortable, and clean place to relax and sleep. So I decided to focus on the bed first. So I went ahead and made sure all the sheets and bedding were nice and clean, so I just took all of our bed linens off and gave them a good wash. It's been a long time since we've had houseguests, so I just wanted to make sure the bedding was just extra clean and fresh and ready for the next guest. I do need to get an extra set of sheets, it would be nice, that way you can use them interchangeably, but we're kind of on a budget so we just have the one set for now, but I have noticed that that would be nice to have, but we'll see. So while the sheets were in the wash, I went ahead and started dusting. I'm not doing like a crazy clean every crack and crevice because it's just not realistic for our family, especially during this time of year, and I know for a lot of families it's probably the same way as well. Things can get a little hectic too, but as long as the room or space where your guests are going to be is overall clean and not too much clutter, then that's usually sufficient enough, but I'm going to go ahead and get as much dust out of here as much as I can. Sometimes I'll get this duster out and quickly go over everything first, and then I'll do an all-purpose spray. So if the furniture is too dusty and you try to go over it with a damp or wet towel, then you'll just be kind of smearing the dust around all the furniture. I also went ahead and put the sheets in the dryer too. yeah it's just gonna be you and me hang by the fire and chill isn't this how it's supposed to be making our christmas memories oh and i've been long to hold you close forget about everyone else isn't this how it's supposed to be making our christmas memories oh making our christmas memories i've been wrapping presents for you i've been hanging marbles in the tree and i lit my house with christmas lights so you should come back home to me and when we wake up in the morning i'm gonna play those carols we'll be singing all the melodies until the sun comes up these are the good times with you baby this year it's just gonna be you and me hang by the fire and chill isn't this how it's making our christmas memories oh and i've been longing to hold you close forget about everyone else isn't this how it's supposed to be and then i like to use a cleaner that is specifically for glass only it seems to get glass a little bit more clean in my opinion than an all-purpose cleaner an equal mix of hydrogen peroxide and waterworks wonder on glass as well yes these are the good times with you don't even care what we do if i spend it with you just you and nobody else it's so good to see you again to see you again baby this year it's just gonna be you and me so then after all that's done i got our vacuum and got rid of all that dust that was in here and the vacuum is a perfect tool for that especially use if you use those little vacuum attachments and um hose and things like that you can really get into those hard to reach places that still has dust lingering around let's go outside the snow is falling down and every child is having so much fun there's no man is twice the size is me with a smile as quirky as mine we're holding hands to keep each other warm while we stand and watch a choir performing all the get all the christmas songs that we love and then why we're gonna go inside and drink our chocolate by the fire because all i want is to spend this day with you let me give you a christmas a moment will fill with love and joy and then i went ahead and put the clean sheets on the bed now i do have some christmas type of pillows and blankets for the bed but that's all going to be including uh included in our next video where we'll decorate this room for christmas i still need to decorate my house too um so be on the lookout for that making plans what we're gonna do i feel so blessed that i can be with you yeah i just wanna hold you close you know the stars are shining just for you let's take a walk and we can follow the moonlight till we reach a place we can stay maybe kiss a bit and dream away and in a while we're gonna go inside and drink our chocolate by the fire because all i want is to spend this day with you let me give you a christmas a moment will fill with love and joy so beautiful kissing on a mistletoe baby with you i don't need any presents as long as i spend this day with you so beautiful kissing on a mistletoe baby with you and in a while we're gonna go inside and drink our chocolate by the fire because all i want is to spend this day with you let me give you a christmas a moment will fill with love and joy so beautiful kissing on a mistletoe baby with you i don't need any presents as long as i spend this day with you so beautiful kissing on a mistletoe baby with you then finally i will give this floor a good mop and i'm using the method squirt and mop wood cleaner um it's also a good idea to have the bathroom cleaned really well for guests i feel like that's something that needs to be done kind of last minute because bathrooms at least in my house tend to get dirty more dirty faster i did do more of a deeper clean as far as the shower and the toilet goes in here because it's just a good idea to have all that clean and disinfected when you have people coming over i do have the mrs myers cleaning products all that all of the these i'm using today and i do have some discount codes and and all that kind of stuff for grove collaborative um i just partnered with them just recently um i'll give you guys a little bit more information later on in later on videos but i will go ahead and leave you guys some coupon codes and links and everything in case you're looking for some some holiday scents i know they've got peppermint all-purpose types of cleaners and then they have this iowa pine that i really love it's kind of strong but it's kind of good because you just use a little little goes a long way um they they have a lot more stuff too but they have a lot of gift sets and things for new for new people so i will leave all that down in the below but thank you guys so much thank you so much for all those who support this channel and if you you're new then thank you so much for stopping by i would love to have you as part of the channel and happy thanksgiving and merry christmas and i hope to see you guys soon bye
