Hi everyone, my name is Anne, over on Anne of Shine,
and I just want to quickly introduce myself,
letting you guys know that I am now part of
one of the Disney networks here, and that is Disney Style.
So I will be making exclusive Disney-inspired
DIYs every few weeks, and starting with today's tutorial,
I will be showing you how to make some cute
arm candy bracelets inspired from the movie Cinderella.
So if you guys want to learn how to make these
super awesome and cutie bracelets,
then stay tuned, and I'll show you how.
Okay, so we're going to start with the materials here,
and first you will need some beads.
You can pretty much get creative
and use any type of beads you like.
My favorites are the five millimeter gold or silver beads.
Next, you will also need some cotton braiding cords.
I found these from my local Joann's Fabric Store
in the kids' craftmaking section.
Michael's also carry a few selections of color cords
you could choose from.
You could also order these online,
just do a Google search for braiding cords.
Next, you will need some jump rings.
The one I'm using are about six millimeter in size.
This is what you will need to connect
the ends of your bracelet to your closure,
which is the last thing on our list here.
There are many varieties of closures to choose from
in your jewelry making section at your local craft store.
So today, I will be using a magnet clasp as my closure.
It does pretty cool stuff.
I'll show you toward the end.
For tools, I will be using a measuring tape,
but you could use a ruler if you like,
a long and curved nose plier,
scissors, and lastly, my favorite, super glue.
Okay, so let's get started, shall we?
Step one, cut 60 inches of your color cord.
Now, this is a neat tip my subscriber suggested to me once.
At each end of your cord, cut the ends off, making a point,
and at each point, dab a little super glue
to prevent the strings from unraveling.
Step two, once the glue is dry, start adding on your beads.
I would string about 20 beads all together,
but you can pretty much use as many as you like.
You know, again, be creative.
Okay, so now it's time to make the bracelet.
You want to wrap the cording around something
that is the diameter of your wrist to get the proper length.
I'm going to use my pliers that are set seven inches apart,
which is 18 centimeters,
but you could also use a piece of cardboard
or anything else to keep the size consistent.
You will wrap your cording around multiple times, like so.
As you're wrapping it, scatter the beads,
just like the way I'm doing it here, on each strand.
This next part can be a little tricky.
We're going to bind the ends of the bracelet together.
Take about three to four inches of extra cord
and wrap it around one of the ends.
To prevent the cords from getting loose,
I like to use something between the loops.
The next thing you're going to do is tie it around the loop,
then dab a little bit super glue to secure it in place,
just like what I'm doing right here.
The next thing you want to do is tie it up
and put a little dab of super glue to secure it in place.
Once that's dry, snip off any excess cords,
then repeat on the other side.
Okay, on to the closure.
Take out your jump ring and twist it open.
Next, loop it around to one end of the bracelet.
Now, I'm going to attach the magnet to the jump ring,
and then I'm going to close it tight.
I usually like to use two jump rings
to make the bracelet hold stronger,
and plus, there's a lot of pull to this bracelet,
so you want to give it extra support and durability.
♫ I miss you and I need you
♫ But it's always in the back of my mind
Once you're done with that end,
repeat the same thing over on the other side.
You are now officially done.
Thank you guys so much for watching.
Enjoy your new bracelet,
and don't forget to come back to Disney Style
or my channel, Anna Shine, for more fun DIYs.
Ciao!
