Democrats would rather distract Americans with hoaxes like the Jussie Smollet "incident" or the Russian Collusion Delusion rather than own the real consequences of their disastrous policies. America is fed up!
It's time for the daily update from the Republican Party of Arizona. I'm Austin Smith, your chairman
of the Arizona Young Republicans. Actor Jussie Smollett has been found guilty on five of six
counts of falsely claiming that a hate crime was perpetrated against him. In 2019, Smollett claimed
that he had been attacked by two men wearing MAGA gear who made racist remarks during the incident.
Democrats, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, other Democrats in Congress,
and all the Hollywood celebrities all rushed to social media to condemn the supposed attack.
The problem is it turned out to be a hoax. Now that a jury has determined that Smollett wasted
the time and money of the Chicago Police Department on a false claim, those same voices are silent.
This is as Chicago continues to set records for murder rates. This is similar to the Russian
collusion hoax that the Democrats in the media desperately clung to for four years.
After an Inspector General report, the Mueller investigation, and the indictments and the probe
by Special Prosecutor Durham, we now know there was nothing to it. Yet Adam Schiff,
when recently confronted by a Republican congressman on the floor of the House of
Representatives, still clings to the Russian collusion delusion. Meanwhile, back in the real
world, 12 large cities in the U.S. are experiencing record high annual homicide levels, and there are
still three weeks left in the year. But if you listen to top Democrats like the prosecutor
in Philadelphia, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, these atrocities still plaguing our cities
aren't happening. Admitting that these heinous crimes are happening would lead to serious
questions about the wisdom of vilifying cops and releasing criminals without bail. Democrats are
proving that when it comes to crime, they are more willing to believe hoaxes that fit their
narrative than they are to confront the disastrous consequences of their policies.
America deserves leadership that is grounded in reality and understands that we must confront
the very real challenges our country faces head on. But as always, remember,
