Amazing tiny house made for a traveling photographer who designed it

Hello everyone Jean-Philippe from Minimaliste We are currently at the Expo Habitat Salon in Quebec today to present our latest model the Noyer It is a house 10.5 by 30.5 which was specially made for a client from California A model that will be delivered by the end of March It's a model that was completely custom-made Truly a collaboration with the client from A to Z She was greatly involved in the creation process of her model We are really proud and really excited to show you this new model Once again for this model went with cedar for the exterior environment On also opted for a steel gray accent which gives the house a very distinctive character Also to add to the novelty went with a roof slope that is different This is the first time this type of roof slope is being used It really gives a different dynamic to the house What's interesting about this house as well is that our client is a corporate photographer so she is often on the road She is going to use it to rent out her house on Airbnb That's also why we see this little gadget here It's a camera Here we have the codes for the front door which will ensure that it can generate a new code For each Airbnb user instead of having to hide the key It was a very special consideration the customer wanted Especially for her house for the use she was going to make of it Without further delay we will now go inside Welcome to the inside of the walnut The first thing you see at the entrance is the entrance hooks You can hang your coats Inside as well on the floor a carpet would be placed We can put our boots on when entering You can directly access the main controls of the house namely the lights lighting and ceiling fan en also with thermal break The access is easy You can enter the house and then add that When you enter the house One of the first times we go there is the path leading to the salon So this path as such It is a removable step that gives access to full-size drawers So here we can see that the storage space was not neglected It was really something that the customer considered essential in her requests Because she has a lot of photo equipment ski gear and outdoor equipment So there are two drawers of this size They go all the way to the back of the living room which is raised for this purpose There is also storage space in the movable walkway to put shoes Then the step is equipped with small hooks that help stabilize it To prevent it from tipping over when walking on it to access the living area So in terms of the living area there is a space that is quite spacious and then creates a separation from the rest of the house So you really feel like you're in a separate space from the house Then the height is really comfortable the sense that someone who is even six feet six inches tall can stand upright in the living room without any problem even if the living room is elevated So here we have the heat pump Also on each side there is floor storage on both sides In addition to the two drawers that were previously installed Here what we also see looks like two small coffee tables In fact what's underneath are reversible covers that then become seats with a cushion So it discreetly slides under this tray Then when the customer receives guests What she does she can take the lid and turn it over It fits directly into the cabinet Then it provides an additional seat either for dinner or for receiving guests in the living room At the Salon Expo Habitat 2019 we had the opportunity to collaborate with the company Most from Quebec They took care of all the decoration of the house So this is really what gives the house a bit of an edge for the living room So it's definitely something that is really appreciated and it' s something that really enhances the house For the kitchen space It's a space that's a little more compact than what we put in most of our homes However it's really an effective design Also as can be seen the customer used really high-quality materials On a counter that is cluttered with the shelves exactly cluttered Like a bit of what you see in the living room on the table As for the cabinet drawers On a profiled shaker with copper-style doors Then the navy blue really adds a warm touch to the house Then it's really something that harmonizes well with the wooden type of the house itself Therefore we are really satisfied with the final result What is found in the kitchen the customer instead of having a conventional oven ends up having a small bread oven So she didn't necessarily need a conventional oven On the other hand we have a propane cooking surface Then where a oven would normally be installed she decided to install a dish rack dishwasher It is really something that is particular It is the first time that we are bringing into our homes certainly not the last by the way So there's a lot of storage space in the kitchen Even though the space is quite limited we've included some built-in cabinets Place either coasters or cutting boards So everything is here as is It really has everything you need for a functional kitchen without having much unnecessary space We have an oven here to complete the kitchen space Quite cold as an oven though I would say it's cool in the oven To complete the kitchen area a standard -sized refrigerator was integrated So yes it's something that's smaller than usual However in terms of amenities We are trying to keep it that way to make it as convenient as possible for our customers What we find here in terms of kitchen space Also a dining room So there is a bench here that is really private for this purpose We have a cushion that was custom made Obviously it's a bench that has a lot of storage So when the customer is going to rent it It will be equipped with an IKEA folding table that can seat between 2 and 6 people So the space here will be furnished with the IKEA table that can be stored in the corner over there When she no longer needs to use it as such What you find here in the corner is the work space for the client Therefore a lift table that is really interesting in terms of ergonomics It can work either sitting or standing It is also the space you see here for the house's electrical panel Therefore it is discreet It is installed in the corner So the access is easy Then it's a place that's a little more hidden So you don't really see the electrical panel when you enter the house So there is a sliding door here to access the bathroom This is one of the bathrooms we made that is the most compact On the other hand you will see inside There was really no compromise in terms of comfort in the shower etc In terms of the facilities found in the bathroom On a 2-in-1 washer-dryer with storage above for various items including towels Here there is a hatch that provides access to the instant water heater which runs on propane for this model along with the various filtration systems So it's available in other videos if you have questions about this kind of system Here we have a separate compost toilet It is one of the two composting toilet models offered by Minimaliste There is still a window above It allows a bit of natural light to enter the bathroom In the place where the propane instant water heater is located that's also where the box was installed for 12-volt connections In fact that house does not run on solar panels but it has the capacity to be adjusted To solar panels in the future as such Therefore it is a necessity All new homes in California since 2018 have solar capacity Therefore this was something the customer wanted as well So they integrated it right into his house A standard-sized vanity with a lot of storage Despite there being pipes inside So we managed to make sure to maximize the space in the vanity Despite the presence of plumbing If you go a bit further to the left in the bathroom you will find the 32 by 48 shower With luxury-style wall panels which are really something which has become standard in our homes Then you can see that the quality is there Then the rendering is really quite amazing Then obviously as in all our models there is a bathroom fan It is included to remove moisture Then the ceiling is treated with exterior paint en five layers of varnish Regarding ergonomics for this model they went ahead and added With a staircase instead of a ladder Then it is a storage staircase as seen in our previous models However what is different is that went with something much more streamlined so there is no handle They are pocket drawers if you will This allows for a really clean look and still having access to things All the storage spaces inside the staircase So really from A to Z there are a lot of storage spaces Then obviously there is a retractable step which also contains storage that can be moved aside To free up space when there are people inside Therefore obviously from a safety perspective when you lower the step The step becomes stuck so there is no risk that the step will come loose when people use the stairs So we'll go to the loft to show you how the room is arranged There's a new feature in this model It's a first for us Regarding the loft to offer more comfort since people They don't necessarily have to change in the loft and then access their various storage areas but by crouching what we see here is A platform space to stand and change comfortably with a wardrobe that is accessible when standing So it's really First It's something that will definitely be reproduced in different models We have many cabinets and then a closet space which as I just mentioned is at a height that allows you to stand up and change without being confined to the mezzanine space Therefore it is clear that the staircase is quite comfortable Then it allows easy access to the loft without having To lean down without having to climb a ladder So it's really a great compromise between a ground-floor room and a room on the mezzanine accessible by ladder So it's the best of both worlds For our client Then that's what she wanted So that's what we did for her With a different angle It really gives headroom at the top When you are Lying on the bed there is really a lot of headroom So you don't feel cramped the mezzanine area Then it offers a beautiful view of the rest of the house at the end of the bed It is a window that is considered an
