I wanted to talk about updating your island and making it look cool. I had wanted to add lights
to our island because like some of the other campers and stuff come with the lights and I
just think they're pretty cool looking. Originally when I ordered some I got them and I got the ones
that you have to charge. They they have a little remote it's got like a little sensor so every
time you move the light comes on and you had those and I was going to put those around my island.
Well at that point I couldn't figure out how to get past this corner on the island because
you would see the lights. I opted and put them over on our coffee bar and I thought well you
know what that's really a perfect place for them. When you come in the lights motion light gets you
and then they all turn on. I have loved those things being there a lot but I really wanted
them on the island. Well then I figured out that there's like a little place in here that you can
weave the lights through and you can't see the lights. So then I ended up ordering some that
plug in so that way I could compare for you the ones that stay plugged in and then the ones that
you can recharge. Now at the coffee bar the ones that you recharge is the only option that I could
do over there. There's not a plug without having to run a wire or anything. Now the negative about
the recharger one about every two to three days I'm having to charge it because every time you
walk over this way it turns on. Every time the dogs walk past it it turns on. I pretty much
am charging them all the time but I have enjoyed them and for $12.99 I think they're worth it for
$12.99 and I really do like them when they're charged up. I swear though they always seem to
run out when you need them like when you're trying to come in and you want them to turn on.
The ones that I actually plug in that I used on the island they come and you can put them in
different colors and on the island it does have a plug on the end for me to plug these in so these
work really good for the island and I'm kind of glad that those are not over here. I like leaving
these on all the time. I originally was trying to turn them off and on but now I just leave them on
all the time. Now if the power blinks and warning there is going to be flashing lights on the screen
here in a second they turn into disco lights so if the power goes off and comes back on it flashes
like disco and then you just have to get the remote and put it back. These were $14.99 where the other
ones were $12.99 and the $14.99 come with a remote. Change it to any kind of color that you want
and then you can change them to flash oh let's see if it'll flash you can change it to flash
change it to fade but I like just leaving them on a color. I've really if you can plug them up
I would buy the plug up ones hands down every time but for the coffee bar the plug in ones
won't work so you do have to use the rechargeable ones. If we weren't like turning them on all the
time I think the rechargeable ones would last a lot longer. I would it's right around three to
four days and that's of us staying in here all the time the dogs constantly flipping it on turning
them on and they'll just start dimming and you'll you'll you'll see them get really really dim and
then they'll go off and won't come back on. So if you want to check those different light options
out I will put links in the description box below. These were super easy to install. I just added a
piece of tape to the end of the lights so that I could weave it through the corners then you cut
them to size then you peel off the backing and stick them to the cabinets. Super easy and then
and these were $14.99 and those were $12.99 so if you had to get but one of the other
and you could plug them in get the plug in ones. I love these and the glue has stuck really well
they haven't come down at all and we you can't even peel that off. Now I can't promise you
because this is fake wood under here and over there it's got the little picture on the wood
that it could possibly pull off your wood when you go to take them off. Well if you were looking
at getting some lights I hope this little decor video helped. Till next time like and subscribe!
