Classic VW BuGs - 1965 Beetle Carpet Installation Pt. 1

So continuing the 1965 interior restoration. We're just about to put the carpet into the car. Like I said, like I showed last time, I did the headliner. I put new padding, Jew padding in the back and now we're getting on the carpet. I get the carpet from Wolfsburg West. This is the German square weave carpet and this is the charcoal carpet. So I never really formally did a carpet video to show you guys but what I'm going to do is I'm going to do a series of shorts here. But so when it comes to the carpet from Wolfsburg West, the German square weave, the front firewall gets put in first like you see here. Then the two side pieces that go over here. Okay and if you have TMI carpet, it's actually reversed. It's the other way around. You do the two side pieces first and then the front firewall. But what's nice with Wolfsburg West is that they will sew the mats for you and also do the cutouts in the carpets for the heater outlets as well.
