Finding Gold beach detecting
Hey guys, well after a big night last night at the Boca until 3am for God only knows what for.
I only got about 30 bucks, no rings.
I've made it down here this afternoon to Yamina.
Just on this, as the tide's going down, I'm just going to chase this wet line down as the tide's going out
and see if this ring's been pushed up on the big hard tides we've had for the last couple of nights.
Cross your fingers, Johnny and Bethan.
I've got the Sea Hunter.
Pulse induction.
And I'm starting to love it.
It's a lot lighter than the Excalibur.
Heaps lighter.
So I can swing it for longer.
And pulse induction, different pedal of fish altogether than the very low frequency.
And it hits up hard.
So I'm going to give that for a bit of a bash for half an hour.
So come with us guys and let's go check out the Sea Hunter Mark 2 waterproof.
Alright, let's go, let's do it.
Okay guys, how to use the Sea Hunter Mark 2 at it's best.
I had it on absolutely no discrimination at all.
And first hit the bottle cap.
What I do now is I'll take that elimination all the way up until it disappears.
So a little bit more.
And we're just messing it down a little bit more.
So that's on almost 7, the magic number.
Just on 6 at the moment and it's disappeared.
And I'll start tracking it now.
I'll find an aluminium pull tab or something and then I'll discriminate right up to the aluminium pull tab.
And that will keep the 1's and the 2's and the rings.
Why I brought the pulse induction down here and why this is good
is because the Excaliburs and the CTX 3030's and all those ones,
they run on full discrimination half the time.
So they don't hit tent pegs or bobby pins, hair pins, whatever you want to call them.
And they miss all that.
And you know, like Chris said last week, he's walked this beach 10 times and didn't get one hit.
And he's got the Excalibur.
So the pulse induction hits everything.
So what I'll be able to do now is since no one's got any indication on where anything is,
I use the pulse induction, dig up where all the heavy items are
and that should be where all the gold coins and all the rings are.
So this is excellent for finding all the tent pegs and bobby pins and small stuff.
And I'll have to dig them up to find out.
And then you've got a good indication on where everything is and where everything isn't on the beach.
And everything's graded by weight.
So if you do it properly, you should be able to use the Sea Hunter very productively.
I was doing this water line up here just to see if anything's been pushed up here.
I haven't found anything within about 50 foot.
So now it's probably time to go down, chase that silvery patch down as it goes out
and check every line along there because there could be rings and money and anything
in every single stop-off point where the tide goes out.
So over there where there's like a little bit of a cut there,
I'll go check in front of that and down there.
So pretty much I'll check the whole beach.
Come with us, guys, and we'll see how we go.
See if we can find anything.
Old beach out there, home and away.
That's pretty big, isn't it?
That is in the shape of a tent peg.
Would you not agree?
Well, let's dig it up just to see that that is a tent peg.
Or it could be a long gold chain, I suppose.
You feel lucky?
I reckon the chances.
There it is.
There she blows.
Look at it.
No, this is my phone that I'm doing a video with.
Did you find a dog?
Yeah.
No.
How are you going, kids?
Good.
I found a tent peg.
Hey, look.
Good luck charm.
Tent peg.
Put it in the rubbish bin when you go past.
Good lad.
Thanks for helping me.
Good kids.
Nice one.
So I've got out of putting that in the pouch and taking it to the bin.
No, it's just a tent peg.
No.
Kind of watch like that with a black face.
Okay, I'm looking for another one like that for a lady called Mindy.
No, Lindy.
That's me.
That's you.
That's you from a year ago.
I'm still looking for your damn thing.
But it's way down there, not up here.
It's about half way.
There's that lady with the red shirt.
It's somewhere down there.
I know.
I search her all the time looking for her.
Oh, honey.
And her husband's name's Tim.
Oh, wow.
Great memory.
Tim Davey's The Money Pot.
You should check it out.
That's right.
I will.
Thanks, Tim.
Hope you don't mind being on the video.
Not at all.
Thank you for your help, Tim.
We're still looking.
Thanks.
Bye.
See?
We're all still here.
We're all still looking.
She's still waiting for her watch to come back and be buggered if I can't find it.
But I've tried.
Tried heaps of times.
Get on your sea hunter.
Alright, back to it, guys.
Well, I just had a hit from that hole there and I hit gold.
Have a look at this, guys.
She's gold, mate.
Look at it.
Come on, guys.
Isn't that obvious?
Uh-oh.
Yeah, little girly thing there.
It's not gold.
Yeah.
But it's close.
It looks gold, doesn't it?
It's something.
Nice one.
That's beautiful, isn't it?
She's gold.
I might be able to put it on my head later.
Nice one.
Well, it's gold.
Waited.
In the pouch.
Let's keep going, guys.
I found heaps of tent pegs so far along the way.
I'm finding stuff.
Definitely finding stuff.
Well, I knew it.
Sea hunter just died.
So, you can...
It's just all over the joint now.
It's banging and it's buzzing.
And if I turn it off and listen to this.
Turn it off.
Only one beep.
Should be four.
She's flat as a tack, Johnny Ray.
She's flat as a tack.
So, just after I found that big gold, gold bloody head piece.
She's out of go-go juice.
I got the Bounty Hunter TX4 back in the car.
Which is back that way about half a k.
So, I'm going to have to walk back.
Not even swinging the machine.
I suppose I could do it to pretend I'm doing it.
But is there any point on pretending to swing the machine if it's not even working?
So, anyway.
Got to go.
Got to go back to the car.
Come on, guys.
Come for the walk.
