Welcome back everyone. Where have I been? I've been away digging. Digging up the
road. Top of New South Wales. And there hasn't been much going on around here.
There hasn't been very good tides at all. But we've had some big tides and some
big swell the last couple of days. And I've got the Sea Hunter. The mighty Sea
Hunter. So I'm going to take that down. It's freezing cold. There's no one down here.
Few people walking dogs. Come on let's get out of this patch here. I'm going to go
straight down to the waterline and we'll give it a bash. And as soon as I find my
first hit I'll get back to you. But there's a fair bit of sand being cut away.
Ways down here is that block that turned up the other day. If I can zoom in.
This has turned up. And as you can see she's a whopper. And everyone's coming
down and having a bit of a look. Whether it's been washed up. It's polystyrene as
you can see on the inside here. So it looks like it probably could float. Looks
like the big seas have brought it in here. The Sea Hunter in the car and yeah
that's very nice. Very good. I've got the Sea Hunter in the car and come down I'll
give it a bit of a bash and see what's down here. So hang in there guys. I'll be
back in a little bit. But this is amazing. Ocean Beach and a nice little chair to
sit on. Come on Nixie. Come sit up here with Daddy. Doesn't get much better than
that. Come on. Come sit up here with Daddy. Come on. Jump up. Come up here.
Well there's our first hit there guys. And just a couple of seconds ago there
was water everywhere. So we better get in here and eat this quickly. Now I just had a
couple of hits just back there before. But they were going beep beep. Double beeps.
Which is like a bobby pin or steel or something like that. So just to get moving a bit. I kept going past them.
A little hole. What is it? A little bobby. Old fashioned something. Well there you go.
The Sea Hunter is pretty good for finding all the small stuff. Now I'm running out of
sunlight. Gonna keep going and try and find something worth talking about. Well
I tracked along that edge there and I started finding tent pegs and big chunks
of iron and everything. Not worth showing you. I've come up here and I've got a
really nice buzz just here. So live dig this. Sounds like a coin to me. So let's give this a bash and see what's up here.
Now the Sea Hunter is not very good at discriminating. So I'm hitting a lot of.
Discriminates the small steel and the small iron and everything. But anything that gets too big just cracks off.
So here we go. Down here somewhere.
There you go. Unlucky. The Sea Hunter picks up all the trash.
Lucky. Unlucky. I thought I had a coin there for you. Let's fill this hole up again quickly.
Well that's the worst I've seen that right up to that concrete slab there. So that's really chewed into it.
We've got a 3.7 tonight at 10 o'clock tonight. So I'll come down here. There's been some chunks all falling down there as you can see.
We've always seen that grey thing there. But there was always dirt above it. So we've lost everything above there.
Well we're right down to chewing into the edge again. So something will pop up in the next couple of days.
She's cold down here guys. She's cold. No one else down here. Why would you?
I missed that last storm cloud. I was lucky. There's plenty more coming back. So I better finish up. Hurry up. Hurry up.
Hey guys. I'm back. So I've run out of daylight before. I went home and had dinner and everything.
I came back at 10 o'clock on high tide and I was smashing right up on the edge here.
So I've come back here now. It's about 11.30 or something like that. There's no one out here. It's as dead as a doornail.
This is hardcore metal detecting at it's best. And I've come across my first hit here.
Turn the big wire on. I've circled it all for you. So that's it there. Let's get the digger out.
I've got the Bounty Hunter TX4 here on full discrimination. So it's definitely a coin. No problemo about that.
Looks crusty. Huh. It's like an old foreign. I don't know. It could be a rat arse Tencent coin too.
Could be a Tencent coin. Not too sure. Alright. Well. Put that in the pocket. That's the first hit.
And yeah. Like I said before. I've brought the Bounty Hunter down. TX4. Full discrimination there.
If I get a bottle cap. A pull tab or something like that. I'll bring the discrimination up a bit.
But at this stage. Should only be coins here. Now there's a fair bit taken away. Tonight. The high tide.
That's the better one. Alright. There it is there. A little bubby one. Look at that. That's a little truffins for sure.
Jesus. Lost a lot of meat there. It's pretty thin. She's raised us in. Raised us in.
Well. That's number two. Let's see how we go. Alright. So there we go guys. I've walked almost all the way up to your mine.
I've found a couple of one cent coins and Tencent coins. But not worth holding up. I want to find something spectacular before we start going again.
So this was a decent little hit. I see some silver there. When you're down here at night time and everything. Everything starts to look like a ring.
Another five cent coin. Pretty brown. Pretty small. That's your miner just there. Your miner sir.
So I've made it all the way back to Ocean Beach now. I did most of the water line. I didn't get it on tape. On film.
Because Bounty Hunter is not waterproof. The coil is. But the rest of the unit box isn't. I can't afford to drop that in the drink.
And I was doing the water line. I did alright there. It was pretty good. I love this little broach here. It's a little fishy in a fishy.
Prices. And dog tag. Two, four, six, seven dollars worth of goldies. Fifty cent coin. Key.
Not too bad for going all the way to the miner and back. And I'll just track it back down to Ocean Beach now. Down to where my car is. And if I find anything else I'll jump back on.
