Janette, The Enthusiastic Gardener
Hi everyone, it's Jeanette here from The Enthusiastic Gardener,
thank you for joining me again. Today is a very very monumental day in the gardening year
because we are going to cut the grass for the very first time, we've been dying to do it,
but it's rained non-stop all the time for days and days and days, so we don't have a very big lawn,
you can see here, this is the size of our lawn, it doesn't take long at all. My husband actually
does the grass cutting, not me, that's one job I don't have to do, it's the only job I'm not
even allowed to walk on the grass without his permission, this is pride and joy. As you can see,
I think I mentioned this before, we had to add some stepping stones,
so we give you a before and after, we leave it much longer, it's getting so big and clumpy,
by the way this umbrella has been laying there since one of our storms knocked it down,
so we will pick that up, I can't do it by myself, it's that huge lump of concrete.
So we are going to set the camera up and put it on time-lapse and cut the grass,
first time of the year.
So
that looks amazing. Richard, do you have any words of wisdom? As Rod Stewart said,
the first cut is the deepest, but as I said this is Richard, the unenthusiastic.
15 minutes work, grass is cut, not the shortest, I never cut it at the shortest,
as and when the sun comes out, the grass will start perking up and then it'll be cut more,
now I'm just relaxing on a Saturday morning. That looks amazing, I'm so pleased we finally
got the first cut done, thanks Rich. I'm Jeanette, I am The Enthusiastic Gardener,
look forward to seeing you soon, have fun in your gardens, bye.
