Garden Fail - SO Much Effort, But It Just Didn’t Work 😫😂😊

come sit here with Mama hello everyone it's Janette here from enthusiastic Gardener first of all welcome to all my lovely new subscribers I know everyone is so excited about gardening this time of year in spring so you all look for new channels so thank you for finding mine it's so lovely to welcome you we are a lovely Garden community and uh Everyone is always so nice and kind and uh apart from one person because was he always watches he always puts a dislike dislike don't know who he is but sometimes his brother watches too because sometimes there are two dislikes I did block one person once I think it was two or three years ago she always put horrible comments and she always complained about what I'd done I shouldn't have done that that looks awful next to there you've done it all wrong and I never claim to be a perfect Gardener I just show you what I I'm doing and believe you me I make mistakes and lots of things die but anyway she was constantly criticizing and I thought no go so she has gone apart from that everyone is lovely absolutely lovely so thank you for joining me and thank you for watching all my four videos last weekend in Easter which we did four which was a lot and we did uh tidying up Shady corner cut all THS down tided that up the next day we uh put the leaf sculpture out the front and said fond farewell to purple head who's now gone and uh no idea where kind of miss him really but I'm sure he'll be happy some of you though you loved him and uh but it was a lot of fun that was a fun video and the next day we put my beautiful braided Willow Harley Quinn design a couple of you were quite concerned told me what are you thinking with all those 10 m of roots and your house will fall down Etc but I want to reassure you that I have Googled as everything gets Googled in this house and I have been [Music] reassured and because you effectively bonsy it cutting it off at the top keeping the top uh trimmed Etc the height will never get any bigger and The Roots will not spread like you would if you were planting a proper big willow tree so I just want you to confirm that for you um I'm not worried and you might have noticed when I planted the root balls The Roots were going round and round and normally I would tease that out to let them spread but I thought no you can stay going around just in case so that was lovely and then the last video was my IV wreaths and also my beautiful new fairy lights in my uh old lampshade balls that's turned out a great success and they stay on until the morning and I would never have thought of that if you hadn't given me that idea uh but hidden amongst that video was an April fools joke because it was the first of April and I appreciate the fact that not all of you watch to The Bitter End of my videos and you won't have realized that what I was telling you was not actually true so that video is linked at the end of this if you want to check it out again and see did you believe what I said but today I have been put in this off about 4 months ago I had the wonderful idea so I thought of digging up all my janian storing them in paperback bags putting them in the rooftop the attic space of my garage and all I've done is watered The Roots they're upside down in a paper bag altered The Roots once a month end of story now the the thing that I would have liked to have done it was a lot of work and I'm thinking so easy to just buy a tray of new beautiful geraniums or better still just sew some from seed giv myself all this work and I would have deleted that video and and hoped that none of you remembered but my friend Tracy Thomas she's never forgotten and uh we've been messaging each other she's already got hers out she's got hers groomed up she's got hers potted in little pots ready to go out in the landscape and I've promised her I will have a look today so that's what I'm going to do today let's go and have a look and see what's happened to them this is where they are in here up the stairs and uh those four videos I must say are hats off to anyone who does daily Vlogs because it's a lot and uh yeah hats off and you're not if you're a gardener you're not only I got to get up with one hand you're not only just walking around filming things you're actually gardening as well I let just show you this because Mark when I came up before he liked this picture sorry about the light it's a cinsky but I never liked it Richard liked it but it's in the Loft anyway yeah it's a lot of work when you're doing daily Vlogs definitely here they are there's a lot of them I've no idea what they look like so I'm going to bring them all down and then we will [Applause] unveil well I told you there was a locked and I'm not going to lie to you I kind of wish I hadn't done it if this is no so good I'm going to delete that other video so that other people so other people don't do it that's a no well I'm going to show you some I think the video's got to be deleted right let me show you let me show you just so you you know I'm telling the truth and I'm not just I can't be bothered to do it I've put the you by the fountain so at least you get some beauty right here we go I just got to see oh yeah because zo if I was in Focus that's what they look like and they are all squashy and absolutely rubbish oh dear there's no sign of green life anywhere at all ashamed of myself oh dear well I am ashamed of myself so Tracy well done for doing yours but I think you will agree that was much a success and I won't be doing that again however I do think it was a good trial but I will delete my other video because I don't want anyone else doing this let's talk about something more alive there you go I actually do deserve some dislikes for this video I admit yes a little disaster I must confess but we need to draw a line under all mistakes and move forward and and uh it's spring now but let's have a quick look at what the garden looked like in the winter it is the first day of December 2023 and we have finally had our first Frost so you can see the plants are Wilt in in the frost but it is very very beautiful crisp morning and it was - 3 today on my dog walk the fatsy is drooping in the cold but it's a lovely crisp morning and I'm so pleased to say that all my bulbs are in my spring bulbs are in and lots of leaves were cleared at the weekend mostly from the circle oh my poor droopy fats here but that fats here and the other one will rebound they are such good plants with the start of a new Garden year is the winter let's see what it's like in a month's time it's January and it's so windy my chairs have blown across the garden look at my poor era mafida oh he's looking very Tatty very Tatty indeed winter interest Mahonia how beautiful yes it's all very bare very bare in the garden in January and now here we are today in the beginning of Spring well I promised you something that's alive so let's have a look at the ferns which I cut down a week ago because I noticed this morning that we do have some new little can you see that that there is is a bunch of new unfurling FRS quite a lot and here these ones how cute is that some more there this one's most advanced more advancement there and of course these which you saw a week ago are doing tremendously well very nice so they're doing well and uh we have some beautiful color of course this is my CIS canadensis forest pansy Red Bud let's put my hand there that's what YouTubers do budding up nicely first ever flowers on the pear tree so will we have peirs will we who knows that's my cloud pruned uus which I will come along and I will uh give it a little little bit more of a shape it's now been doing its thing for a couple of weeks and you can see I still have all the little steadying sticks there they're still in place the lavender which I moved when my ilex Stokes died see things do die in this Garden but look the new n on the lavender is looking very beautiful that's my apple tree no blossoms on the Apple Tree I don't think yes it's all looking okay my little reath are doing well we have a few new little tulips popping up and uh there's my lovely braided Willow that's my Victoria Plum few more tulips and that's it so I thought I'd come back to the spot where I promised you four months ago that the pelagonians were going to be fine all would be well and uh you should try this too I've been in I have made that video unpubl so no one will ever see it again not all is always well in Garden but it's all a lot of fun and uh yes please forgive me
