Buckets Removed, What Goes Inside? (Chicken Garden Day 59)

But in my dreams I found relief chicken garden glass station day 59 Guys today, I'm cutting a few bottles not hundreds, which is good for you and me We'll be cutting all of these really light beautiful color yellowtail bottles that a friend dropped off for us and We're gonna be putting them in a very special place so just stay tuned and see what's going on today All right, we did a few of those big gallon jugs on the solar shed And I remember I said I will never do that again, and now I remember why I said that it's awful It's scary. It's yet to be so much slower and more precise because the way the bottles are shaped They don't sit flat on the saw They're kind of tapered Anyway, long story. It's just very dangerous I don't think I'll do it again, but I did say that before so I don't know anyway We're gonna take these up get them ready, and I'm excited to show you where they're going Perhaps you guessed it It's bucket time. We're gonna be taking out these buckets so many people are like why are why do you have buckets in your wall? It's just a placeholder. We were gonna always do bottle Bottle bricks, but then I was like what if we just made a screen Kind of like we did with the openings got too complicated with the shape so back to bottle bricks Guys it didn't fall. This is a this is really cool, so What we're gonna do now. Let's make some cob and fill in this space It's time for the other bucket Now one thing I don't like about what we did on the first bucket is this is too much cob and not enough bottles But I'm not gonna rip it out and do it again So I think we're just gonna try something different on this side, they're not gonna match, but I think I'll be okay with it Nice try to catch me Three You gotta raise a little When the Sun You may have noticed Something behind us in the mountains the last couple of days a lot of smoke back there now usually We'd be really concerned because wildfires are a big deal out here. In fact. We almost got evacuated once but We checked it out, and it turns out that this is actually a prescribed burn by the National Forest, so they're burning A peak over sort of on the other side, but the wind is blowing this way It's making it look horrible all that smoke is coming over the mountains, but don't worry. It's awesome Okay, we got the two bucket areas done the second one turned out way better with more bottles But now we're gonna cob in one more jug on each side Because we need to let that cob dry before we can add any more To it. Okay, that's good Cuz we have to do more bags anyway, yeah, and then we might need to go get some What are you guys doing One of the first Projects that we did when we moved to this property Was to put these poles up and string shade sails to protect the airstream during the summer today we are cutting at least some of them down because Well, the airstream is moving soon So we're not gonna be able to use them anyway, and they would make perfect lentils for the chicken coop So it's a little bit sad cutting down our first project, but we got to keep moving forward. So let's do it That was dumb so dumb so so dumb It didn't help that they were like at a weird angle. Yeah. So anyway, we got them cut We will take the bolts out and like piece them together as lentils tomorrow, I guess right. Yep, and then Backward more earth bags going up as fast as we can to finish the bags on the coop and the run Well, I kind of am voting for a full workday tomorrow to where we can get the majority of the work done I would like to get the rest of it done in two more days It's a tall order.
