Today I'm headed out to get some more clay at our local gravel yard
and the kids will be finishing up some cobwork so that we can continue laying bags today.
We're just going to build up over those bottles just slightly more so that when we tamp the bags
the bags don't like come over the bottles if that makes sense. Anyway it needs to be built up just a
little bit more. They said they would work on that while I go run errands and then we'll get back to
It's time for another day of earthbagging and chicken gardening. It's day 58. All right we're
back laying earthbags on the chicken coop. We've got to get those hurricane straps locked into
place. So yesterday we did the front half of the coop now we're going to do the back half
go over those hurricane straps but then we're going to go a whole other course around the
entire chicken coop and probably even cleat in at the top of our little mini opening there
and that is going to bring us up to the point where we have a whole lot of lentils that we
have to deal with. Lentils over the window openings in the run and then a lentil over
this opening as well. We were hoping to get to that today but Ashley had to run some errands
so right now it's just me and the kids so we're going to keep things simple. We're going to lay
a bunch of earthbags and try to get up really a course and a half on this chicken coop. All right
let's do it. How nice is it to have the scaffolding back? It's very nice. Much easier. Yes. But still
wobbly. Will always be wobbly. Not gonna do it last time. Grab it. I'm slipping literally. Your
hands. No my feet. Gosh. He's going insane. Nine nine drop it. Hey drop it. It's stuck in my mouth.
Nine nine spit it out. What is it? Nine nine. Hey nine nine look at me. She can't. She's not.
She can't hold it. Ada switch with me. No. You're just not quite tall enough. I'm sorry.
You're still amazing. You can still do so many amazing things. Just not this one.
Can you speak? That's not a very productive day. I haven't worked this long in a while. I know.
I haven't worked into the darkness. Yeah it's way too cold for this. I'm tired. Yeah. Yeah.
Want to just wrap it up tomorrow? What do you mean? We could just call it good and say we'll
see you tomorrow. Oh I guess we could. What do we what do we have to do tomorrow? I guess that's
the question. Lentils and cob. Lentils and cob. Yep. Okay. We'll keep it simple guys. Productive
day. Course and a half on a coop. Yep. Cob and lentils tomorrow and that's all. Guys we're going
to bed. We'll see you tomorrow.
