ABOARD THE WORLDS MOST LUXURIOUS TRAIN - BLUE TRAIN SA

Good morning everyone! Morning! We're here in Pretoria, South Africa and we're actually really excited today. Instead of flying down to Cape Town we have had the opportunity to go there by train. I'm so excited. So excited and it's uh it's not just a normal train that we've been catching in like Europe. We're actually catching this like this really cool train called the Blue Train. One of the most luxurious trains in the world. Yeah so it's an overnight train. It's this old train. We're going to show you guys all around and we're very excited. Pretty much everyone we tell in South Africa gets very excited. Like everyone's heard of this train. And all your family's so excited that we get to do it. Yeah. They're all from South Africa and they've all heard about the Blue Train. So I'm so excited to do it. Yes. And um so we're it's like 6 a.m at the moment but I'm like so awake. I'm way too excited. I was up at 4 30 this morning. I was like and then Jessica was like what's the time? It's 4 30. But um yeah so we're gonna head there and show you guys around this train before we have breakfast. Yeah. But let's go. Yeah. So we're just here at the lounge and we're just waiting for boarding which I think it should be in about an hour's time. And notice there's a blue theme going on. So nice. We were keen. We're like the first people here. We were the very first people here. They hadn't even set up the um bar yet. Alrighty guys we just got to our suite and it is so nice. Like I'm trying to show how much room this has. But like we can pretty much just walk around. There's lounges. We've got um table. We've got some like. How big is the window? Uh-huh. We're gonna be able to see such nice views out there. There's even room for. I love that we have a bathroom. Our own bathroom. Yeah we got like shower, bathroom. And I accidentally I thought that was the like you can just push a button. Open the windows. And then behind here are our beds that pull down at night time to sleep. And we have like a tv. It's so cool. I can't wait to go explore the train. I saw those pastries. I want to go and steal some. Let's go steal some pastries. I'm so hungry. But this is so nice. I'm so excited. I can't believe how much like room there is in here. It's so cool. But yeah we're just checking in. I think we're gonna leave in half an hour. Then we're gonna go steal some pastries. Yeah. There is a set time to like brunch and ours is at 12 30. So I think we're gonna have still a lot of pastries. I'm so hungry. We want some fruit. Yeah do you want some? Yeah. Okay final check. Is there robes? Oh my god there's robes. There's robes. No way. I did not expect robes. Oh my gosh. Straight after I eat I'm so putting robes on. Bye Pretoria. Do you think it's pastry time? Yes well I was actually reading in here and it said that um you can ask. Oh yeah we have um our own butler. And if we ever need anything you just call him in here. Yeah there's a telephone there. I was just reading the information so I can see what we can do. And it says that you can call him if you want some light snacks. Oh. So if we do get hungry we can get some light snacks. That sounds good. That's a melon. Oh thanks. That's okay. I think we're just out of Pretoria. Starting to get really nice but we found the movies. We're gonna watch a movie. Yeah. And I think they're gonna bring us some snacks so we can eat like some savory snacks before lunch. Yeah. And we just ordered some. Cheers. All righty it is 12 30 which means it is lunchtime. So we're gonna go into the dining hall kind of area and grab some lunch. I'm very hungry and we've just been doing some editing here on this nice table with such a nice view. While having the Lion King on in the background which just finished. So uh that was a good morning. So do I use this fork? This fork? This fork? Or this fork? Or this knife? This knife? This knife? We've got all the cutlery on this table. Such a nice view though. This is such a good start. I'm hungry though because it's 12 30. Yes I'm so ready for something to eat. Yay. Oh my gosh they got all of the wines as well. Oh wow. How beautiful is the table? Like the setup of the table is so nice. Oh salad. Yum. Is it bad that I'm already full from the salad and we've just on to our second course. Hang on. I think I'm doing this wrong. Oh there you go. I'm already so full and now we're having pasta. We've had salad, soup and our pasta. Oh my gosh and we had cauliflower soup before. Never had it before. So good. I loved it. This looks good but oh my gosh I'm gonna be so full. But there's always dessert though. There's always room for pudding. Yeah? Is it bad if I ask for more ice cream? Shall we ask for some more? Yeah let's ask for some more. Did we really need this Jess? This is like a whole separate dessert. I wanted more ice cream. Guys I'm in a food coma. That was too much for me. Way too much but that dessert was amazing. Oh my goodness I couldn't even finish it. On to the next Disney movie. Watch Entangled and I might have a nanny nap. But at five o'clock, so in a few hours time, we are going to go to a place called Kimberley. Should be good. So gonna have a bit of an excursion off the train. I think we're just about to get into Kimberley and I always notice in Africa it's really sunny in the day and then when it gets to the afternoon it starts getting a bit cloudy. So hopefully it doesn't rain on us while we're at Kimberley. But if you don't know what it is, we've heard it's like a mining site and so it's like a giant hole in the ground with water in it and I've seen photos it looks pretty cool so I'm excited to see it. Let's just hope there's water in it because I know there's been a drought in Africa at the moment. But I just can't get over looking out this window. You just see so many cool things. Before we just saw ostriches. Hang on I'll just turn the TV off. Yeah before we just saw ostriches running past and stuff. It's so cool but it does remind me a bit of Australia because when we do go on like big road trips along Australia it's that dirt road with the with a little vegetation. But uh you ready to go see Kimberley? I'm ready to go see Kimberley. Let's go. Yes I love it. Yeah because it's like technically a train ride but then you get the little excursion which is cool. And we are so close to finishing all the vlogs. We've been like a little powerhouse just editing, editing, editing. And this is like a perfect place to do it as well because it's so relaxed. We like went and ate, had a drink and then editing. So it's like it's like a little overnight edit sesh you know. I feel like we'd be putting our butler to work because we just like call because we've got a telephone and we just call and be like can we have some water and ice? Can we have some coke? Can we have some champagne? Can we have some coffee? I know while we do work it's so perfect. This is so nice. So luckily dinner is at nine o'clock but I couldn't. No. Yeah I think we're getting there now. Yay I'm excited. We've just been doing some work watching this amazing view and we get to Kimberley in like half an hour and then we'll show you guys the excursion. Oh my god we just drove past hundreds and thousands of flamingos. I've never seen them in the wild and they're my favorite bird. That was so cool. I wish we could have got out of the train. I wish I could just stop in Kimberley's like 10 minutes. Oh my god that was so cool. I tried to pick it up on the camera but that whole lake covered in flamingos. That was so cool. We have arrived at Kimberley. Your first endowments were found 3,000 years ago in India. Welcome. Thank you. We just got back. It was uh it actually went for an hour and a half but it felt very quick so there wasn't actually any time to vlog but we went here. This is pretty much the Kimberley mine. If you've if not the biggest. Yeah they pretty much own this mine. They got so many diamonds from here. Like a large supply of diamonds came from here. We saw some really cool big expensive diamonds. We weren't allowed to film all this stuff. Yeah and then they showed us some replicas. They showed us a replica of one of the diamonds that are in the crown jewels. One is in the scepter, one is in the crown. We also saw the Tiffany's diamond. I can't remember the story behind that. It was called Tiffany. It was something to do with Tiffany's. Tiffany's & Co, the diamond company. But it was really interesting. I didn't know anything about diamonds. It was really cool seeing that the actual mine site which is what the Kimberley hole is because towards the beginning of the 1908, towards the beginning of the 1900s got flooded and then they couldn't, they couldn't mine in there anymore and that's why it's a big watering hole I suppose. A big water hole. But yeah we just jumped on the train. We've got a couple hours to dinner which is probably good because I'm still digesting lunch. Did you order some more drinks? I did order some cocktails. Should be good. We kind of asked our butler to make something up for us. I don't know what it is. Look at these bad boys. We got some good. We got some cocktails. Oh my gosh it's like a smoothie. Yeah which one do you want? Well let's halve it so we can try both. Cheers. This is so cool and as you can see it is now night time. How is it? Have you stirred it? No. It's like a mint and it's really good. Is it? I think this is like a strawberry daiquiri and then you've got something but yeah it's now night time and our dinner is in like a couple hours so we're just doing a little bit more work, having our cocktails, probably a few cocktails then we'll go have dinner. And then while we go to dinner the butler comes in and he turns these lounges into beds. Yeah so we'll show you what that looks like and then it's robe time. Yes this is cool. Yeah this is so fun. Guys this is what happens when we have the most relaxing day of our entire year. It is 10 o'clock and dinner was just called for us so it's a little bit late so instead we're like let's have it in our room and they were like okay and so they've set up like a table for us because like at night you're meant to be in elegant dress and stuff like that and we were going to do it and then when we found out that our dinner was delayed I was like Steve I kind of just feel like being comfy in our room so they brought us dinner in here which is so nice and it's curry and it smells delicious. Smells so good. But Jess, why are you not in your robes? I know I was thinking should we get into our robes? I think we should. Let's do it. Let's do it. It happened. We're in robes. This is perfect. Wow they gave us a lot of um sour cream. Yeah but it looks so good. Yeah I haven't had curry in ages. Neither. Can I have that spoon before you lick it? They still have to bring us dessert you know. I'm so full but I couldn't say no. This looks so good. How fancy is this lemon meringue? You finally got your lemon meringue. So good. We just got to our room and they've made up our beds for us. They look so comfy. What's this? Oh the bed actually feels so comfy. Yum. I think it's some like chocolate. You look sleepy but you also look super comfy. It's like a full... I can't believe this is a train bed. I'm like trying to get this all in. Yeah it's so comfy Steve. Yeah. Yeah so good. All right I think we are done for the night guys. Oh my goodness this is so comfy. Oh so good. No alarms are being set tomorrow. No. All right guys I hope you enjoyed today. We did. It was so relaxing today. But we get to Cape Town tomorrow about lunchtime. They'll be on the train till then. And then yeah get to see some family. Get to see my auntie and I think my cousin's there as well.
