This is the WORST play of the year (by far)

This was the worst goalie play of the year, by far.
Everyone was talking about that weird bouncing puck goal last night, including me,
but this was just so much worse.
27 seconds into the third period of a game between Dallas and Arizona,
Vemelka handles a loose puck and just absolutely puts it right on Jamie Ben's stick.
This will be the easiest goal Jamie Ben will ever score. He didn't even celebrate afterwards.
Now, to be fair to Vemelka, this situation was tougher than a normal dump-in.
The D-man pinch missed the puck, so Vemelka played it to help relieve some pressure.
The problem is he just played it in the worst possible way.
He casually plays it, like, almost towards the middle of the ice,
and he definitely did not need to do it. He could have put it up the boards.
Probably the safest bet would be what Shosturkin usually does in this situation.
He'll backhand it back behind the net, and one of the Coyotes' D-man was ready for that.
All in all, though, just really ugly, and this was also Jamie Ben's first of the year,
which, I don't know, can't feel great for him either.
All in all, though, this was kind of the game that I was waiting for.
The Coyotes finally got dummied at home, and I don't say that with any pleasure.
And the crappy thing is, this is their last game at home before a really long road trip.
They're not home again until they play Boston December 9th.
Would have been really nice for them to just end with the Florida game.
But anyway, this game was never really in doubt.
Dallas scored a few minutes into the first, then soon after on a really bad turnover.
The Stars would be up by four by the end of the first period.
At that point, presumably, Gary Bettman called down and asked them to play nice,
because they'd only score three more throughout the rest of the game.
The Coyotes weren't generating a lot in chances.
Dallas would score one during the second, two in the final,
while the Coyotes would also put two in for a final score of seven to two.
And yeah, I don't know what the good is to take away from this if you're a Coyotes fan.
I will say, I was happy to see the fans mostly stuck around until the very end
and cheered loudly for Arizona's goals.
Hopefully this experience doesn't sour the Coyotes while they're gone to the local fan base.
