I’ve had a wonderful time decorating my little San Diego craftsman home for the holidays. My North Park home was built in 1921, so it’s over 100 years old.

For the holidays, I keep the decorations simple, homey and old fashioned. I start with cutting evergreen branches and picking oranges, tangerines and pomegranates from the garden for display and to bring in that special smell of Christmas.

Then I get my little lap harp out and start practicing songs. The simple, clear sound is so relaxing and calming. I also like to knit and make gifts for my family.
