Went to an Hmart near New York city and saw that they had an entire section of choose your own Korean BBQ. It was like a Korean BBQ buffet inside a supermarket! Also were to an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ in New York City to see how they are operating nowadays.
Restaurants i went to: Prince Tea House 31-47 Steinway St, Queens, NY 11103
Caste Iron Korean BBQ 157-26 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11354
About a year of dried foods because about a year ago when this pandemic first started
I thought the world was going to end. So food review later on dried food that last 25 years.
What the heck is this? Oh it looks like a dessert hot pot with boba.
Well little bitty pearls. We'll come back and check that place out.
You know what the greatest thing about being a grown-up is? Besides you know the whole living
on your own. No bedtime stuff. It's the fact that I can have dessert for breakfast.
Are we eating pizza? What is this? Crab meat avocado pizza. What is this?
Beef bulgogi. We got takoyaki for breakfast? Potted plant rose green milk tea. That looks
that looks really good. You guys remember Sophie right? She's actually helping put my apartment
together. Right? That's good. Trust me right? That's pretty good. It is good right?
I'm excited about this. Potted plant rose milk tea. This looks beautiful.
Oh this is good. Yeah. Oh get this when you're here. This is delicious. What's the thought behind
the takoyaki here? Let me see. It's actually a good takoyaki. I'm really shocked. Actually
wow the food here is substantially better than it was before.
I will come here and eat this and the takoyaki and the pizza.
Oh the tea is excellent of course.
What is that? Brown sugar boba crepe. Oh my god.
Let me show you.
I like it. It tastes like a creme brulee bubble tea crepe cake.
Yeah. That's very good. You like this? I love this. It's very nice.
I like the ube. You like the ube? Because there's chunks of ube in it.
Green tea is the most I feel like melt in your mouth one. Right right right. And then the other
ones have more texture but the green tea one is like very if you just want to melt in your mouth
cake which is a lot of times I would. Right. Very very nice. A lot of people were commenting last
along the last video about my phone. Yeah it's busted up. I'll tell you a story behind this. So
I have a crack here and I have you know obviously shatter in the back. So I do have a phone phone
case. I don't even know why I have it. I should tell you guys what brand of case this is because
don't ever get it. I had the case on here. Look at look how busted it is. I had the case on here
and I dropped it and the case didn't shatter. The phone shattered. So basically my phone protected
the case. I don't even know why I have the case on still. I like that. Like uh I just don't I just
don't want to like touch the back in case I get cut up or something. But yeah don't get this case
whatever. I don't know what brand this is. This is horrible. It's so dirty too. I got this off
Amazon. It's just bad. All right see you guys. Bye bye. Thanks for breakfast. I'm heading towards
the Koreatown section of the Queens. The Murray Hill area. The real Koreatown New York City.
Because all the all-you-can-eat Korean barbecues are open. So really curious to see what they're
like right now. Okay so they got all the outdoor seating set up. They got a tent in case it rains.
I think it's supposed to rain a little bit today. Oh that's theirs too. They got a lot of spots. Are
we grilling here or what? Just go with cooking inside. Oh you guys cook it inside and you bring
the cooked meat outside. How much is the dinner menu? Dinner menu is $28.95. $28.95. Lunch menu is $18.
Well that's not much of a difference. Okay so this is cool. They'll let you do the dinner menu
or the lunch menu. And they cook it inside I guess. So you order from the menu itself and then
they cook it inside and bring it out. So you don't get to cook your meat anymore. Which honestly that's
kind of a big part of Korean barbecue. But I mean it is what it is right now. I think lunch menu has
pretty much. I don't want the squid. I don't need the squid. I don't want squid. Yeah let's do the lunch menu.
Yeah thank you. Pork belly and let's do thin brisket. Thin brisket. Okay good. And then after order more.
Okay all right thank you. So the lunch menu and the dinner menu's difference is $10.
Honestly like unless you want a steak. I would just do the lunch menu. Pretty affordable. And got the
bottled water. Okay here's a little banchan. Bean sauce. Salt and pepper. So Jimmy's gonna show me
the kitchen of how they're cooking the barbecues now. Oh that smells good. Oh you're using real
charcoal. Oh that smells great. Wow this looks so fatty and delicious. Look at this. A good brisket.
Honestly it has to have a good amount of fat. And this thing 100% dust. And I'm gonna tell them to
cook it more char next time for us. And all you gotta do a little bit of sesame oil, salt and
pepper. That's all this thing needs. Wow that's good. Oh you can taste the smoke. They used cherry wood.
Yeah and they used charcoal. So you can it's way smokier than their regular iron grill.
What do you think? Very nice. Smoky flavor is good right? And I've heard Korean barbecues.
No? They have one in Jersey where they cook outside. So you're lucky you can you can go there.
This is the pork belly. That's good. You can taste more of the char flavor on the pork. Pork
belly. A little fermented bean paste. Jalapeno onions for a little crunch. Raw garlic to keep
the vampires and girls away. What do you think about Korean barbecue outside? I think it's great.
It's amazing. You don't smell like Korean barbecue when you leave. Why why is that a bad thing smell
like Korean barbecue? I would think that makes you more attractive if you smell like Korean barbecue.
Right? That's your next startup. Bottling Korean barbecue. Barbecue fragrance. What's up dude?
Thank you. That's that's my new line. Like what's your fragrance line? Hot pot. K barbecue. Instant
noodles. Spicy. Imagine walking by some guy's like you smell like lunch. Oh this one is fatter
than the last one. Oh I love this. Oh it's like April in my mouth where everything it just starts
melting. That's a heck of a difference. Charcoal. This place is so much better than when I first
came here. The flavors. I still wish I can grow my own meat but other than that exceptional. You
guys never had abomasum before. This is like also a cow stomach. It's like the fourth stomach or
something. My university we had a cow wandering around in a in a field for science class and the
cow's stomach was open. Like there's a hole in the cow's stomach. It's really weird. Like I think a
lot of schools have this and you were you would reach your hand into the cow's stomach. It's to
learn about the cow's anatomy. It's alive. It's alive. Just walking around like eating stuff.
New dumpling face masks. That's so cute. I love it. Right. It's noodles and bubble tea.
That's cool. I love it. This is adorable. Get yours down below.
For sure. You want the mango? Yeah. One more. You choose. Dragon fruit. Okay.
It's coconut shaved ice. Is it good? It's good. I like it. Good mango.
Milk is nice. It's really refreshing. Actually sitting here eating this is pretty good.
I wish like we weren't near cars like every five seconds but that's not their fault. This is great.
This is what kind of what I what I need after a Korean barbecue. I agree. It's got to really
dig deep for the sweet milk. It's good. I like it. I would recommend. It is kind of really crazy
to see like how much these businesses have been affected. Sorry. Ice cream pig. Oh my god. That was
a big one. But it is kind of crazy how you know how much they're affected. You talk to all these
owners. They're just like everyone is affected so much. So if you can get out and support your
local business. Local restaurants. Whatever. You know even if you feel uncomfortable eating outside.
You know get it to go. Get delivery. And this is really good. I mean summer. It's perfect time to
I love you. Is that too soon? And you can support local businesses by going to my Cameo. Ordering
a Cameo. 100% of proceeds from now and forever goes to small businesses. Anybody ever tried
coconut milk with cereal before? I like it. Coconut milk and cereal. Cereal is like my
ultimate guilty pleasure. Brownie. I love cereal. All right on my way home but driving through
New Jersey. I passed by H-Mart. So let's go load up on some stuff. This one is way bigger than the one
in New York. Oh man. They had a food haul here. Oh they still have goodies. Cocoa chicken. Oh man.
Too bad most of these places are closed. Oh my god. Look at this. This is all for your Korean barbecue
needs. This is basically like a grocery store Korean barbecue buffet. Whoa. I did not know H-Mart New
Jersey had all this. So you ask someone and you just I guess you pick out whatever you want. This
does not exist in the H-Mart in New York. This is so great. It just goes by pound. All right. All you
can eat Korean barbecue part two. Right now. Actually I think I might have accidentally cut
in line. So I'm gonna get this for now. I'll come back. I think this is the same stuff as you as you
want to get over there. This H-Mart is really all about the meat. All the panchan is here.
Pickled jalapeno. Love this. Pig's feet. Dumplings. The reason I got so much meat is because I'm hosting
a Korean barbecue party later. Just for myself. You know. Trying to feel a little happier. Throw
myself a little Korean barbecue party. Try something. Wow. This is the good stuff. The thin
slice of Kobe beef. Wow. You know what? Choice meat with this marbling. That's pretty good.
This is a good H-Mart. That whole select your own barbecue meat station buffet
thing. That was rejuvenating. That was like a rejuvenating shopping experience. I mean it
gets packed in there. But I don't know. Something about choosing the different types of meat. Like
I know I can buy a package. But pointing and getting what I want. That's what Korean barbecue
is all about. All right. Let's go home and eat dinner. H-Mart Korean barbecue meal.
You know what it starts. The beef short ribs.
Oh this is great. The garlic beef short ribs. Some thin brisket. By the way if you don't have
like a massively long chopstick. It's super helpful. Especially when you're trying to eat
Cheetos from one of those massive bags. No orange fingers. Look at the marbling on this baby.
Pork belly. It's a little bit of everything. Oh marinated pork belly. Make room for this.
I'm like a dumper when it comes to hot pot. So I want everything in my pot. I feel like I'm the
same way when it comes to Korean barbecue. I want as much on the grill as humanly possible. And
then I'll just figure the rest out later. Again love the fact that I don't have to worry about
smoke detector going off. This must get banchan. Any Korean supermarket. You have to eat Korean
barbecue with some cold noodles. Take some meat. A little seasoning. Oil, salt and pepper. If you
like the Korean spider man. Just wrap it with the noodles. That marinated beef. It's remarkable.
H Mart barbecue meat. So far so great. Trying to find a piece of that garlic. Short rib. Which I
think this is. You don't even need to go to a Korean barbecue. Just get yourself a Big Martha.
A bunch of barbecue meat. Pork belly for the absolute win. Wow this marinade. This is better
than a lot of Korean barbecue places I've been to. Most meat quality once you know what it get.
It becomes pretty much the same. But the marinade is different. That's where it really starts
setting places apart. And H Mart marinade. Go H Mart. I mean definitely still go out and support
your local Korean barbecue. But when you want to just stay home with a bunch of friends and just
feast. Not much beats this. Anyway what I'm trying to tell you guys is. I have pretty much my next
two weeks planned out. But after that. I have no idea what's going on. But whatever it is. Whatever
I go. Whatever I'm doing. We'll do it together. But today. Very very very very happy day. I'll be
eating Korean barbecue for the next week. That's my whole plan. I'm going to stay in my house in
the woods. Not go out for the next week. And just pound down Korean barbecue. This is what I do when
I miss Korea. South not north. I want to make that clear. And as always guys. If you want me to shout
out somebody. Say happy birthday. How you doing. Words of encouragement. Roast someone. I've been
working on my roasts. I have. For example. Check this out. I like you. You know. People say I have
no taste. But I like you. Yeah see. I'm working on my roasting skills. For any of that. Use my
Cameo link down below. Again 100% of the proceeds goes to support charities that help small businesses.
So you'll be roasted for a good cause. As always guys. Thank you all so much for watching.
