TAKE DOWN CHRISTMAS / How I Organize My Holiday Decor🎄

Today I am going to be taking down all of our Christmas decor and I'm going to be organizing everything and showing you guys how I do this because I get this question a lot with all the different holidays, just kind of how I store my decorations. Everything comes down. So I just wanted to show you guys kind of my organizing system because I get more questions about how I store my decor, probably more than even the decorating. So this has been a very highly requested video and I'm going to take everything down and show you how I do this. First thing, I bought a couple new big, huge bins. I'm going to put my new tree in here, garland, pillows, blankets. That is what these bins are for. I have some ornament bins here and then these four bins will fit all the rest of my decorations. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go around the house, get all my decor in one place and then I'm going to start boxing everything up. ♪ Let's do it for the ride ♪ ♪ I wish that it would never end ♪ ♪ Christmas time on its way again ♪ ♪ Me and you ♪ ♪ It's funny now I see it crystal clear ♪ ♪ I'm sure that it must be this time of the year ♪ ♪ Surely I've been the owner of a lonely heart ♪ ♪ My best and you just had to play my part ♪ ♪ Let's do it for the ride ♪ ♪ I wish that it would never end ♪ ♪ Christmas time on its way again ♪ I do end up coming back here and dusting everything, but I wanted to leave a few little pieces of some greenery just to make it like a winter feel, if that makes sense. It's kind of crazy to see it all at once because normally I bin them as I go. But something I realized is I have a ton of Santa mugs and a lot of garland. I didn't think I had this much garland. Like I mostly garland wreaths. Okay, we got pillows in there and mugs. Like there's hardly anything else besides those things. That was just kind of interesting once I put everything here together. I also have a lot of stockings because I hang them right here but I also like have decorative ones everywhere. But there's not a ton of like actual decor. It's mugs, greenery, pillows, blankets, and that's about it. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to start binning everything. I have some large bins specifically for, I think I already mentioned them, but like pillows, blankets, and garland will be in a different one. And then all of the little bins, I'm gonna try to fit everything else. ♪ Crushing down, I will keep on searching for my highs ♪ ♪ You can say I lost my mind ♪ ♪ I will keep on holding my head high ♪ ♪ Even if the sky is falling down ♪ ♪ Even if the sky is falling down, yeah ♪ ♪ Sky is falling down, down, down, down, down, down, down ♪ Oh my goodness. This all barely fit in there. Wow, I really wasn't expecting it. I have the Christmas tree on the other side and I have one more piece of garland I need to just set somewhere. But I got everything into these bins so I'm really proud about that. I do feel like that's still kind of a lot of decor but we store all of this out in our shed outside. We keep all of our holiday decor just out there. So I feel like because we have that option and we do have a garage that we can store more holiday decor. If not, I would hate to have to get a storage unit. I probably would just have a lot less if we lived somewhere where we didn't have a garage or a basement or a storage shed. I know there's a lot of people that don't have any of those things. So they're always like, where the heck do you store everything? But I just wanted to show you all of this in the bins.
