I came to the Petra area I have returned after being there I have returned to the hotel I relaxed for a while I took a shower
And nothing else I'm on my way again I'm here in the car leaving Petra already as I told you
I'm heading south a bit further south
Well I'm going to Wadi Rum which is the most famous desert here in Jordan
It is a reserved area it is a reserve
Yes it's a place that has to be amazing it has been in many movies well I'll tell you about it later
When I get there I have about an hour or
so to get there a bit less anyway
I'm already in the Wadi Rum desert I've taken shelter here you can spend the night in the desert
There are different hotels different campsites and there are even tents and you
can stay from just sleeping in a sleeping bag to staying in places like this
Now I will show you the village but I have been upgraded because I am the only one
They are staying in the whole camp so they gave me the
presidential one which has its own bathroom unlike mine
I don't know if he'll see much now with the light but okay
here they are I have two beds for myself one huge and another a little bit smaller
So the room is фотография large which makes it extremely hot because
this place doesn't have air conditioning so obviously being in the desert
This creates a greenhouse effect it's like an oven this
that is this is the only thing that relieves it a bit which is the fan
It doesn't relieve anything because what it does is stir up
the heat but anyway at night the desert does get quite cool
Then I don't think it's very serious I think we'll be fine
but the best thing is this look at these windows
So all of this is a window everything is a picture window it's a
huge panoramic view and from here
you can see the desert obviously
But later the sunset will be seen
and the best part the stars will be seen at night
Then you can be lying here and at the same time watching the stars through the window
And above all there is peace a tranquility you fall silent and hear nothing
it's brutal I love it I love this
So nothing else I'm going on a two-hour jeep tour to see
the most characteristic and coolest spots of the desert
This is Wadi Rum and after those two
hours you will definitely go hiking
And I'll just walk around here through these mountains in
the area and from there I'll watch the sunset that's the plan
but above all be very calm here in
the desert so I will show you now
Okay I've just climbed up I'm dying I've just climbed
up a piece of the moon here
All this hill from down there
Of course it's tough because it's all sand and
volunteering to sink with every step it's not easy at all
But it's really puck the views are amazing
This desert🌍 of Wadi Rum is also known because it
is where Lawrence of Arabia stayed for a long time
That it will sound like the English ctypes who switched sides with the Arabs
and managed to ambush trains heading to Egypt
with weaponry in favor of the British etc
And then he became quite famous for that
a movie about Lorenz of Arabia was also made
and well it's interesting
there's a lot of echo here
it's quite interesting
Although there are also versions that say he
was a spy and that he really didn't help the Arabs but anyway that's another topic
It is also known because not long ago the movie The Martian was filmed here
which you will recognize from Matt Damon
and it's because it looks like Mars here
The sand here as you can see the rock is not white it
has reddish tones which makes
the sand also very reddish
Then of course to shoot
as if it were Mars it's perfect
It is an enormous desert about 720 km2
or something like
that and of course it's impossible to see it all but if you can come here and spend a night
And I don't know do some light exercise you can do
it walking you can do it in a 4x4 on a camel
There are many options I think there's also a hot air balloon and such that's
very good so nothing else I'm going for a
walk around here and then I'm going down
From there is where I
have climbed up to here it doesn't seem
much but think about that you are
constantly sinking with the heat
Well it's tough but okay very okay
This site I am now entering
is the Lorenz Canyon by Lorenz
of Arabia and indeed right here
at the entrance of this canyo
There are inscriptions there is a face carved
into the stone that was made by Lorenz in 1917
And the boy who is taking me can't tell me who did it but anyway
there's also the face of King
Abdullah the first king of Jordan here
It is the first generation or rather the fourth generation
is the current king of Jordan
King Abdullah II
and nothing else by the way Wadi Rum
It is called Wadi Rum
Wadi means valley in fact there are several
for example Petra is in Wadi Musa
which means the valley of Moses
But it's interesting because Wadi Rum
if Wadi means valley and Rum means Ron in
English then it's basically the valley
of Ron but so far I've seen little of that
But being a Muslim country I find
it complicated Well you never know
It has also led me to a point where there are Navajo inscriptions
which I already told you was a nomadic Arab civilization
They also used this part of the desert
as a passage they moved throughout
the entire area of present-day Jordan Iraq Saudi Arabia and Syria
And SCP-3999 is a map that they used to navigate between
that and the stars I think that 's
where the wise men came from
By the way the guy who's taking
me around Abdullah is really nice
but he's a real expert he takes
me from place to place and tells me
look there's the canyon go take a walk over there
look there's that dune climb up and see the view from above
from the top of the mountain
and what is he doing meanwhile
he goes to his tent with his women
and starts to flirt calmly
Then I go down for a while and find him there having a little
tea and chatting calmly with them and he makes
good use of his time which is his job
I don't have any issues because I love doing my own
thing so tell me look go off somewhere and get lost
I think it's perfect but it also amuses me a lot
This is the camp where I'm staying
and this would be my tent
the one with the panoramic view over there
It would be the restaurant with the dining area in the middle
these are the simplest tents
one of these was the one already assigned
They upgraded me this
and here is where it would be eaten
It's getting dark slowly There you see how not much is visible
in the image but the sun
is there it's already setting
I placed the other camera here to
do a time-lapse so nothing there
it is slowly and then also you can
still see the sunset from my room
Being here if we go to the window
And there you can also see it
There are flies everywhere here are flies let's go
