Well, I'm starting a new trip and I'm on my way again.
As you can see, it's neither summer nor I'm in Africa.
I've come to a trip, well, you know where I'm going, I'm not going to give it a lot of mystery because it's in the title,
but I've come to Sweden for a few days because I really wanted to visit it, I love the Nordic countries.
I'm not going to stay long because I don't have a lot of time and these countries are super expensive,
so when I can come with someone, I'll come to share costs.
For now, since I'm coming alone, I'm going to dedicate a few days to it.
I'm now in Stockholm, I just landed, a 4-hour flight from Madrid.
The truth is that very well, without any kind of problem, and the views when we arrived in Sweden were impressive.
So, with a lot of desire to spend a few days, although I'm not going to spend a lot of time in nature, which is what I usually like the most.
I will visit a few cities and I will continue telling you.
I'm already in the center of Stockholm.
To come here from the airport there are several options, quite expensive, the truth.
It's amazing, the price of these Nordic countries is amazing.
For example, the train to come from the airport to the center, which is the Arlanda Express.
Arlanda is the airport in Stockholm.
There is an Arlanda Express, which is the direct train.
I think the round trip is 30 euros, and if you do a round trip, I think it's 58.
A fairly cheap price.
If you come by taxi, it will be between 60 and 100 euros.
Then there are other options.
There is Flybus, I think it's a cheap one, but it has schedules that didn't suit me.
I took a bus that was very good, the Flybusen.
I recommend that as you leave the terminal, you will see some totems where you can buy the tickets.
They are next to the Arlanda Express, the train ones.
I recommend that you take the bus because it takes the same time and it is worth a third part.
The bus costs about 10 euros.
It takes you to the center in 45 minutes, depending on the traffic, it does a few stops.
If you go to the end, it takes you to where I am, which is the central station here in Stockholm.
And very good.
Super good, the driver is super nice.
What a difference in kindness here, even from the bus drivers.
And now what I'm going to do is go to the hotel.
It's already getting dark, it's three o'clock in the afternoon.
But as we are at the end of November, it gets dark super early.
In half an hour it will be super dark, apart from the fact that the sky is super cloudy.
So I'm going to the hotel, to put it in some way, you'll see what I'm going to find.
I have about 20 more minutes crossing the center.
And see if I have time to see something today during the day, and if not, I'll make a little visit at night.
I'm already at the hotel, to put it in some way.
It is quite unconventional.
It is in fact a boat, of those that are here docked in the river that crosses this area of Stockholm.
And the truth is that it is fine, it is not a five-star hotel, but for what I need more than enough.
There are in fact several boats here that are from different hotels that offer this accommodation option.
And it is a good option, I have not chosen it so much as an experience of staying in a boat, which is also good.
It is not bad, the truth, because it is quite centric, but rather also for the price.
I wanted it to be quite centric, because I'm only going to be here a couple of days,
and I didn't want to waste time leaving and coming from the city, and that it wasn't too expensive.
And the truth is that it is one of the cheapest options, and at the same time original.
So, well, I said, well, look, a new experience.
The beds are small, but they are fine.
Here you see that it has two bunk beds.
It has a bed in the lower part that is like bigger, and then the one above.
And little else, here it has a small closet, a table, and that's it.
Here are the views, which are the boat in front, they are also rooms of the same hotel.
Then behind there is another boat, from another different hotel.
And nothing, and the good thing is that I am in the center, five minutes from what is the center-center.
So it is very good.
As you can see, it is already night, already totally.
So nothing, the only thing it has is the shared bathroom, but well, nothing happens there.
This corridor has here the rooms on both sides.
The views are similar on both sides, you see a boat from one side to the other.
And this is the bathroom.
Well, they are all shared.
Here are the bathrooms, with the bathroom, and I imagine that this is the shower, yes.
I am already going to the center to take a walk now at night.
Now at this time, already at the end of November, everything is quite snowy.
I mean, all these streets are clear, but well, because they are very busy.
But already in areas where you no longer walk or where cars do not pass,
it is seen that everything is already made, quite a few ice plates.
It is not as exaggerated as when I was in Norway at the beginning of this year, in February,
but it is already starting to be quite frozen.
What I like is how the city is illuminated at night, the truth is that it looks very beautiful.
So well, even if it gets dark soon, as is the case at this time of year,
it does not take away from you the ability to enjoy the city a bit.
It is like the center of the city, it is where there is more atmosphere.
On top of that, today it coincides that it is Saturday night.
On top of that, it is the end of November, that is, it is practically Christmas,
that is, there are some Christmas markets set up in the center with stalls and such,
and it is a blast, but very cool, very cool, very beautiful, a lot of atmosphere.
The truth is that I am liking this area a lot, at least, but now I am going to move away a bit
because there are already too many people in that area and we are going to go to a quieter area.
Gamla Stan
The truth is that I really like what the city is, also because it is quite different
in terms of architecture, well, the holography and everything, because it is not a typical flat city
totally connected, I don't know if you understand me, but well, basically I say it because
they are like little islands that are connected to each other, there are many canals that separate these islands
and each of them is not totally flat, but they have, there are quite a few slopes,
that is, there are quite a few slopes and that is why it is very worth getting lost
in the alleys, there are many of these streets like this one here, which are narrow streets,
the whole floor of the center is cobbled, that is, the truth is that it is very beautiful,
the architecture is very original and at least at night I am liking it a lot.
I am now bordering one of the islands, the one that I have told you before where the center is,
Gamla Stan, it is very beautiful, on top of this area it is much quieter, the cold also hits harder,
but hey, it is much quieter, much more relaxing, there are boats here in the area
and the truth is that this area is beautiful, there is also a restaurant behind me and in this area
there are many restaurants, shops, that is, it is very touristy, but it is all up there, it seems
that it is super late, that it is dinner time, practically for them I imagine that it is,
but it is 5 in the afternoon, that is, really for me it is quite early and yet everything is full,
it is amazing how many people there are, I did not expect so many people, there are quite a few options
in terms of public transport, as you know I have come from the airport by bus, here to connect
the center there are ferries too, there is a subway, there is a tram, you also have Uber, Bolt and such,
that is, you have a lot of options, it is not super economical, for example, I have come by subway from
where I left the bus to Gamla Stan and the individual ticket is about three and a half euros,
more or less, that is, Spain can be the triple practically, but it is true that it gives you the
option to use it for 75 minutes, so well, if you are going to use public transport
at that time several times it may end up being economical, but I think that most of the
times you are only going to make a trip at that time, but hey, it is what the Nordic countries have.
A little north of the city, passing the little island where I was, there is an area that is much more
typical commercial, with shops like Zara and this style, so well, it loses a little bit of the essence,
for me the historical center is more beautiful, but hey, it also has its charm, everything is now very
decorated for Christmas, it is very beautiful, there is an ice skating rink here in the center, there are
a lot of people, I mean, it is not just people who are skating, there is also a queue to
be able to start, but also a lot of atmosphere, and I went to dinner, I was not very hungry and I did not
want to spend a lot of money on eating here in a restaurant, so I went to a place that was
like a hamburger, it is a bit of a fast chain, one more, a little above, but hey, even so,
there was nothing, I mean, I do not recommend it either, because they were very similar to McDonald's, they had nothing
and it has been like 20 something euros, 23 euros like that, a hamburger with potatoes and a drink, so
well, they are the prices of the area. I have returned to the area of the Christmas market where I was before,
that you could not even walk because of the amount of people there were, and it is amazing, it is totally
empty, everything closed, all the stalls are already closed, and you will say, well, it is super late, it is already
night, it is 6 in the afternoon, I am freaking out, I did not expect this, a Saturday night, it is 6 in the
afternoon and everything is closed as if it were 1 in the morning, incredible, well, there was an open stand
with Christmas themes, something very typical for Europe, especially for Germany, I have seen it a lot
for Germany, for Berlin, also for Belgium, that is the Binschot, I think it is pronounced that it is
hot wine, and I have taken one of these, it is the first time that I drink hot wine, and then a typical cake
that has told me that it is like saffron, so Swedish, it looks like a bun, so I'm not going to
try it, they also give you a cookie, this is like, it looks like ginger or something like that, so I'm not going to
try this one to see how it is, this wine is not bad, it tastes quite fruity, it is
delicious, and this, this without further ado, tastes like industrial bolognese, it is not, it is not good at all, that is, it can be
eaten but it is like eating gum, all this cost me 5 euros, so that you can get an idea, it is a glass
