WHAT IS BRAIN EDUCATION TV? Brain Education TV provides mental health and mental wellness videos to help young adults with loneliness, depression, and anxiety. The foundation of our content comes from Brain Education, an academic study from South Korea that stems from over 40 years of research and application and has been practiced by millions around the world.
WHY WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH… We suffered from high-functioning loneliness and depression our whole lives. We lived different lives in different states, but when we met, we realized we were struggling with common issues that reflected an important problem in our young adult generation. We didn’t know who we were, what we were passionate about, what we should live for, and what direction our lives were “supposed” to go. We spent a lot of time wandering in search of that magical ‘answer’ that will solve all problems (like I’m sure most of you are doing right now), and yet the further we searched outside, the more pronounced the emptiness inside of us felt.
Millions of people suffer silently from mental health related issues. Yet our society still places taboos around openly talking about relevant mental health topics like loneliness, depression, and anxiety. As a result, our young adults don’t know how to talk about it constructively, where to turn to, or what resources they have to combat this real-life threat to their wellbeing.
We credit Brain Education for giving us the courage to overcome our own mental health struggles and create the lives we want...and now we hope you can too through the videos we share on this channel.

In this video, I will guide a 10-minute meditation
on gratitude. So showing gratitude in your life is very important. It helps
you bring in more positivity and hope into your life.
And when you're grateful for things and people
and places and situations, you're more aware of what's important in life
and you also can receive back that kind of energy. So that's why
gratitude is very important. So now let's begin
our gratitude meditation. Make sure that you're
in a comfortable area, preferably alone
with no distractions and you can sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor
or in a half lotus posture on a mat. I'm currently on a mat
sitting in half lotus and shake your spine a little bit. Sway
your hips side to side. Find a comfortable position.
Make sure your spine is straight and your chin
is tucked down and let's place our hands on our knees with the palms facing
up and close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your
nose and exhale out through your mouth.
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth. One more
time. Deep breath in. Fill your lungs as much as you can
and exhale out through your mouth. Now keep breathing this way deeply in
and out and become aware of your body. Bring your awareness into
your body. So take notice of where you're feeling tension.
Maybe your shoulders, your back, your legs. Maybe you're feeling tension
in some areas. So as you breathe in imagine golden bright light going into
those areas and as you exhale imagine you're
releasing negative tension with every breath out.
Now take notice of what emotions you feel.
You may feel fear, stressed, anger, joy,
worry. Any emotion is okay. Just take notice of what you're feeling
and with each breath in and out let that emotion flow free.
Right now you should be more aware of your body
and your emotions and what you're feeling.
So let's take time to show gratitude to the people,
places, things that you are grateful for. First let's show gratitude to being
alive. To life itself, the precious gift of life. Someone gave birth to you.
Someone fed you. Someone raised you. Someone took care of you. Someone let you
experience life and that is a beautiful gift
to be grateful for. Next let's show gratitude to our heartbeat
for pumping fresh blood throughout our body
without us even asking it to, with it doing it automatically and keeping
our organs alive, keeping our bodies alive.
And let's show gratitude to our brains. Our brains have vast knowledge,
have vast experiences that only we have experienced.
So please show some gratitude to your beautiful
brain. Now show gratitude to the people in your life that are there for you,
that cheer you on, that make you smile, that are there when you need a shoulder
to cry on, that help you, that help you
experience life in different ways. Show some gratitude for the people
in your life. As you're thinking of the people in your life
you may find some that are difficult and create obstacles or burdens in
your life and it's hard to be grateful for them
and that's understandable but if you look at it from an outside
perspective, every person in your life is put there
to teach you a lesson, to help you grow, to help you change.
So take some moments to reflect on those people
and those circumstances that you feel right now may be difficult
and see how maybe those are people who are pushing you
to see things in a different way, pushing you to open your heart more,
pushing you to change or overcome something
and that is something to be grateful for too.
So please take a few moments to reflect on those people.
Okay great job. Now before we end please place your hands on the center of
your chest and reflect on whatever
the most thing you are grateful for. It can be a person, a pet,
a job promotion, something that happened to you
or even the fact that you had a warm meal this morning
can be the biggest most important thing you're grateful for
and with your hands on your heart say gratitude within to this one thing.
Okay now lower your hands and rub them quickly, create a fire in
between your palms
and now with the heat in between your palms
sweep over your head, your face, your hair, sweep down,
sweep, sweep, sweep, your shoulders, give yourself
a little shoulder massage, sweep, sweep, sweep,
sweep down, open your eyes and sweep down, sweep down your legs, stretch your
legs out, sweep down your arms, sweep down everywhere
and let's wake up from the meditation. So how do you feel? Do you feel more
grateful? Do you feel more reflective at least on things you should be more
grateful for or things or people you're not grateful
for enough? Please let me know in the comment section
below how you felt, what you thought about the
meditation and about what you're grateful for. I'd
love to know what you're grateful for. So now that's all for the video today. I
hope you enjoyed. Please make sure to subscribe for more
