Good evening and welcome to this guided meditation.
This meditation is to be used at the end of your day, whatever time that may be for you.
To begin, find yourself a safe, comfortable position.
One free from distraction, one where you can allow yourself to truly relax.
When you find yourself settled in a comfortable position, if you haven't already, just allow
your eyes to gently close down, turning your awareness to your breathing, and begin to
notice as your chest gently rises and falls.
Take a deep breath in, fully expanding your lungs, and then slowly exhale.
Breathing in positivity, and breathing out all negative energy.
Each breath you take making you feel more and more relaxed, each rise and fall of your
chest, taking you deeper and deeper into a wonderful feeling of relaxation.
Begin mentally picturing the muscles in your feet, and see yourself giving them permission
to let go of any tension, allow them to truly relax, and as your feet relax, let your mind
relax.
Feel the wave of relaxation moving up through your ankles, and into your legs, again picturing
each of the muscles, and just allowing them to really let go.
Feel your legs getting heavier, loose and limp, as you release all tension, and allow
them to truly relax.
Let the wave of relaxation move up to your stomach, gently moving into the centre of
your core, and releasing all tension and nervous energy.
Notice as the wave of relaxation begins to ease the muscles in your back and shoulders,
allow them to completely be free from tension, nice and relaxed.
Up now into your chest, through to your arms, your hands and your fingers, you may feel
a slight tingling sensation as these muscles reach new levels of relaxation.
Just enjoy this time, and allow them to relax.
Moving up again, through to your neck and into your head now, feel the sensation as
all the nerves tingle in your head, before passing through to your facial muscles, think
about each individual muscle, think about where you hold all of that tension, and just
let it go, relax.
This is a state of complete relaxation, this is you choosing to let your body fully relax.
Still breathing nicely on a gentle natural rhythm, in complete control but fully relaxed,
feel as your eyes get heavier, and you continue to go deeper and deeper into wonderful new
levels of relaxation.
Just enjoy this feeling, you deserve it, each breath taking you deeper and deeper and deeper.
In every day of our lives, we all have small moments that we should reflect upon, tiny
moments of happiness, gratitude and joy.
Is there something that you have achieved today, no matter how big or small, did someone
make you smile, or did you manage to make someone else smile?
Let us always be thankful for the gift of life, trying to find gratitude for everything
we have in our lives, for no matter what we may be going through, there is always something
to be grateful for.
Waking up to start a new day is a reason itself, the gift of life, here to experience all that
life has to offer, and by starting each new day, we know there is always so much more
to be experienced.
Be grateful that you wake up with a roof above your head, protected from the elements, be
grateful that you are surrounded by those who love you, family, friends and pets, be
grateful that you have people to care for, as true happiness can be found in doing good,
selfless deeds for other people, we might not be able to help everyone, but everyone
can help someone.
Be grateful for who you are, for you must love yourself, treating yourself as though
you are a person you are responsible for helping, because you are, you owe yourself love and
kindness and forgiveness, be happy with who you are and the journey that you are on, we
are all on our own little journey through life, we all make mistakes, we are all experiencing
the lessons that lie on our path, some are good, and some are just harder lessons, embrace
yourself and be proud of who you are, and who you are becoming, the journey that you
are on, make a statement now, and promise yourself, that when you wake tomorrow morning
to start your day, you will do so with a new mindset, you will try to enjoy every moment
of your day, taking time to be grateful, and if you happen across a chance to help another,
or even just to be kind, you will embrace it, and do just that, as this meditation comes
to a close now, you can make the choice to slowly open your eyes, returning to your full
reality, or to drift off into a deep peaceful sleep, as my voice leaves you now, stay positive
remain grateful, and remember to be kind to yourself.
