My name is Christopher and welcome to another edition of Cars Unlocked.
Today I'm going to be checking out the 2017 Nissan Altima 2.5.

Now this specific Altima comes painted in the grey Gun Metallic and you can see for
an entry-level vehicle it does come with a lot of high-end features.
I really like the chrome around the windows and the chrome handles, gives it a nice high-end
luxury look.
Nissan went with their signature V-Motion grille, which they're starting to incorporate
in their whole lineup.
A big change from the previous model years.
The front end is going to come equipped with your fog lights as well as your automatic
on and off halogen headlights.
On the rear it's going to include the LED taillights and nice dual chrome exhaust finishers.
Fortunately in this 2.5 you do not get aluminum alloy rims like all the other models offer.
It's going to come with 16-inch steel wheels with these nice hubcaps here.
Let's pop the hood of the Nissan Altima and take a look.
This one sports a 2.5 four-cylinder engine, hence the name Altima 2.5, and it's going
to pump out about 179 horsepower and 177 pounds-feet of torque.
It's going to come with Nissan's signature Xtronic CVT, which stands for Continuously
Variable Transmission.
This is Nissan's newest version contributing to the impressive highway fuel economy of
6 liters per every 100 kilometers.
It's an extremely smooth transmission and Nissan has offered a traditional transmission
feel to make it feel like a normal car.
Now let's unlock the 2.5 Altima and take a gander at the inside.
There's a ton of space for the whole family.
You can fit up to five people in the vehicle.
Very comfortable.
For an entry level you do get a ton of features.
Standard are your power windows and power locks along with air conditioning and push
button ignition.
The cruise control is right on the wheel as well as our Bluetooth and radio controls.
There is a very vivid display that engages with your vehicle information screen which
is going to show your tire pressure monitoring, your fuel economy, and your trip computer.
Okay so I'm actually behind the wheel of this 17 Altima right now.
Me personally, I own a 2014 Altima so I don't have many bad things to say about the drive
of this vehicle.
I've spent a lot of time behind the wheel of my car and they've only approved since
the 2014 model.
Some of the things I really like about it, the acceleration is very smooth.
You can go from zero to 140 without even feeling a gear shift and that's the benefit of this
CVT transmission.
It's a very smooth ride, very quiet engine and all of my passengers are always comfortable.
There's a ton of space in the back when I do have my friends or family and the zero
gravity seats really make for a comfy ride when you're doing those long road trips.
One thing I love about my Altima is the size of the trunk.
The trunk is huge and you can fit a few dead bodies in there.
